Chapter 13: Who Teaches Who a Lesson
Chapter 13: Who Teaches Who a Lesson
Qin Xue stood at the gate of Zichen Garden, hesitating whether to inform the Lady. Then Qin Li’s confident gaze flashed in her mind, and she decided not to say anything. Though the young master was still a boy, his words were full of manly spirit. She didn’t want to annoy him with her good intentions.
Qin Xue didn’t even notice that she had changed from being unwilling at first to now thinking wholeheartedly for Qin Li.
She lightly bit her lip, a determined look flashing in her eyes. Her body turned into a wisp of green smoke as she chased after the direction Qin Li and the others had left. She was ultimately too worried about Qin Li. The brothers Qin Hu and Qin Feng had been spoiled since childhood in the Qin Family and never knew restraint in their actions. If Qin Li were truly injured, no one would come out unscathed. Qin Xue recalled the words the Family Head had told her and understood—Qin Li was no longer the boy who could be bullied and humiliated as before!
Three carriages galloped wildly down the street, and pedestrians scattered from afar. Although Qin Li sat inside the carriage with his eyes closed, he could feel the commotion outside wherever the carriage passed. A cold, disdainful smile appeared on his face. Such upbringing was truly shameful. Qin Hu and Qin Feng were considered the most outstanding youths of their generation in the Qin Family, but they were nothing special!
The carriages raced westward and soon stopped in front of a large martial arts school in the western part of the city. The coachman steadied the vehicle, and Qin Li got out, raising his head to examine the martial arts school named “Square Justice.”
The martial arts school had three floors, with carved beams and painted rafters, exuding grandeur. The entire building showed no trace of bricks, constructed entirely of wood, giving a magnificent feeling. For a moment, Qin Li almost felt as if he had traveled back to ancient times.
Looking at the two characters for “Square Justice,” they were simple and elegant, exuding a powerful aura that was clearly the work of a master. It seemed the owner of this martial arts school was no ordinary family.
At that moment, Qin Feng’s mocking voice sounded in his ear: “Foundation Master, let’s go. You’re not scared, are you?”
“Scared my ass!”
Qin Li casually threw out the words, then ignored Qin Feng and strode inside. A few guards beside Qin Hu couldn’t hold back their laughter, only realizing it when their young master glared at them, all trying hard not to laugh.
Qin Feng, standing behind, was so angry his face turned red. Qin Hu patted his younger brother’s shoulder and said, “Why get angry with someone like him? I guarantee you can vent all your anger later!”
Qin Feng nodded heavily, deciding in his heart that even if he risked being punished by their grandfather again today, he would make Qin Li suffer. He wouldn’t stop until he broke at least one of Qin Li’s arms or legs!
Qin Li pushed the door open and entered, finding a hall about thirty meters square inside. It was filled with various training equipment but was deserted and quiet. Clearly, Qin Hu and the others had made arrangements in advance. After all, this was an internal matter of the Qin Family. If it got out, Qin Hu and the others wouldn’t look good either.
Moreover, the news of the Qin Family’s planned marriage alliance with the Shangguan Family had spread among the Qin Family’s upper echelons. Both Qin Hu and Qin Feng knew about it. Though they despised Qin Li intensely, they didn’t dare to let things get too out of hand. As for the consequences of beating Qin Li up, that was simple—Qin Hu had plenty of ways to ensure Qin Li wouldn’t dare spread the word.
As everyone entered, Qin Hu and Qin Feng’s guards automatically stood watch at the martial arts school’s entrance, both to prevent outsiders from entering and to worry that Qin Li might try to run away!
At that moment, a small door in the corner of the martial arts school opened, and a tall young man emerged. The young man was burly, wearing only shorts that reached his knees. His eyes were sharp. He smiled at Qin Hu and Qin Feng and said calmly, “You’re here?” Then he turned his gaze to Qin Li, slightly frowned, and thought: This person looks quite intelligent, so how dare he offend these two young masters of the Qin Family?
“Brother Fang, sorry to trouble you with today’s matter!” Qin Hu stepped forward, clasped his fists, and said with a grin.
The young man’s face showed a helpless smile, and he said, “Just don’t go too far! If my old man finds out about this, I’ll definitely be punished!”
“Alright, alright, we’re all brothers here, no need for thanks. Tonight at Xiangxiu Tower… my treat!” Qin Hu said with a laugh.
“Fine, do whatever you want.” The burly young man called Brother Fang shook his head, turned around, and headed back toward the small door. As he walked, he seemed to remember something and turned back to Qin Li, saying, “Hey, little guy, it’s no big deal for a man to lower his head sometimes! It’s not shameful!”
Qin Li raised his head, looked at the burly young man’s tattooed back, and said softly, “Thank you!”
Qin Feng, standing to the side, gave a fake smile and said, “No need for thanks! What status does Brother Fang have? Trash like you isn’t worthy of speaking to him. Save it, you little bastard, worry about yourself first… ugh!”
Before Qin Feng could finish speaking, he saw Qin Li, who was only a few steps away, suddenly leap into the air and kick fiercely toward his face!
The burly young man surnamed Fang hadn’t reached the door yet and couldn’t help turning back, staring in shock at the scene. He thought to himself: Didn’t Qin Hu say they were planning to use this Qin Family illegitimate son as a human punching bag to vent their anger? From the looks of it, this punching bag… isn’t a pushover!
Because Qin Feng never expected Qin Li to dare to strike—to strike at this moment—he was completely unprepared. The distance between them was too close, and there was no way to dodge.
However, the title of talented youth wasn’t given for nothing. In that instant, Qin Feng concentrated all the Yuanli in his body onto his face… Then came a dull thud. Qin Li’s foot slammed hard into Qin Feng’s face. Instantly, a muddy footprint appeared on Qin Feng’s clean, handsome face.
Qin Li had walked through the dew in Zichen Garden early in the morning, making a special trip into the woods. He always wanted to be familiar with his living environment.
Even though Qin Feng channeled Yuanli to his face, in that split second, he couldn’t form a perfect defense. His fragile nose was crushed by Qin Li’s kick, and blood immediately streamed out.
“You little bastard, you dare ambush me! I’ll kill you!” Qin Feng went completely crazy. He never imagined that Qin Li would dare to strike first, and so ruthlessly at that. Since childhood, he had never suffered such a great loss!
True to his status as a Mysterious Rank expert, Qin Feng ignored the injury on his face. Gathering Yuanli, he transformed his palm into a blade and chopped toward Qin Li’s neck. The speed was incredibly fast! Only the afterimage of his body could be seen in the air.
Qin Li’s actions completely caught Qin Hu off guard. Watching the situation spiral out of control, Qin Hu only had time to shout, “Little Feng, you can’t kill him!”
The burly young man surnamed Fang also cried out urgently, “Qin Feng… stop!”
Blinded by hatred, Qin Feng couldn’t hear what anyone said. At that moment, he had only one thought in his mind: Kill this little bastard!
Just then, chaos erupted outside the martial arts school. Immediately after, the door was kicked open with great force. The thick wooden door shattered into pieces. Qin Xue, her face full of anxiety, shouted loudly, “Qin Feng, stop!”
But by then, Qin Feng had already lunged in front of Qin Li, his face twisted and eyes ferocious, roaring, “Die, you bastard!”
Bang!
Qin Feng’s body flew through the air like a kite with its string cut, tumbling… and was thrown backward!
He crashed hard into a row of weapon racks against the wall over ten meters away. The weapon racks clattered and fell backward with a dull thud.
Crash!
Dust flew up from the wooden floor. Qin Feng lay there, unmoving.
Qin Li’s eyes were filled with killing intent, a trace of blood trickling from the corner of his mouth. A bloody mark appeared on his neck—just a little more, and the artery in his neck would have been severed!
Looking at the few people in the hall, they all stood dumbfounded, petrified on the spot!
