Chapter 118: Advancing to Legendary
Chapter 118: Advancing to Legendary
“Initiate skill fusion. Fusion cost: One Skill Fusion Point (Legendary), Four Skill Points. Confirm?”
“Confirm!”
“Fusion initiated!”
The moment Su Lun agreed, darkness enveloped him. The next second, his soul reappeared in the strange space he had entered while advancing to Legendary. Here, Su Lun’s soul felt boundless power. Facing the world’s laws once more, his soul reaped greater benefits.
The faint lightning symbol within his soul became clearer. Just as he tried to delve deeper, an irresistible force yanked him back into his body.
“Fusion successful. Congratulations, Host. You have acquired [Thunder Domain (Primary)].”
“[Thunder Domain (Primary)]: You have gained basic mastery over lightning. Your lightning abilities are now more potent. You are immune to normal lightning damage. Energy cost for all lightning energy skills reduced by 30%. Damage increased by 30%.”
“[Lightning Absorption (Primary)]: You can absorb any form of lightning attack and external electrical energy. Absorbed lightning power can strengthen your next attack or be converted into your energy value. Note: Cannot exceed absorption limit.”
“[Thunder Domain]: Consumes a large amount of energy to create a world of thunder within a fifteen-meter radius. All humans or monsters entering this area suffer lightning damage. Within this domain, your skills and strength increase by 100%.”
Simultaneously, all Su Lun’s previous lightning-related skills vanished. However, he could still use them. Energy consumption was drastically lowered, yet their power increased. Mastering the Thunder Domain truly marked Su Lun’s ascension to the Legendary Tier.
Opening his status panel, he assigned the remaining Free Attribute Points to Strength. His Strength broke past forty, reaching forty-two.

Su Lun opened his eyes. A flicker of lightning passed deep within them. The room was unchanged from before. Outside, the sky was dimming. Heatherway had lit a bonfire and was humming an unfamiliar tune while cooking food. She hadn’t noticed any difference in Su Lun.
A faint, tantalizing aroma drifted from the pot.
“Grrooowl!” Su Lun’s stomach betrayed him with an embarrassing rumble.
“Hehe,” Heatherway chuckled at his awkwardness. “Hungry? Just wait a bit longer, it’ll be ready soon.”
Heatherway was cooking a travel ration Su Lun had previously made. It was dry food prepared by mixing potato starch, fat, vegetables, meat, salt, and white sugar in specific proportions, fried together. It could be eaten straight or boiled with water. The taste was decent; at least the Barbarians liked it.
This was Su Lun’s version of marching rations, made using knowledge from his past life. He only produced a small amount. Not because they were ineffective, but their cost was high. The Barbarians, each a tremendous eater capable of out-consuming the other, devoured most of the first two batches. Su Lun stopped production after that, storing the remainder in the Lord’s Castle storehouse.
Even though these rations tasted okay, Su Lun didn’t plan to settle. Having slain a dragon, eating dragon meat wasn’t too much to ask.
“Hold on,” Su Lun said. “We’re having a dragon feast today.” He pulled out a Frost Wyvern tenderloin from his Storage Space. This cut was tender, nutritious, and the most flavorful.
He washed away the blood with clean water, then added some antitoxin potions. At his current constitution, the dragon’s toxins posed no threat. But they were dangerous for Heatherway. After neutralizing the venom and washing it again, Su Lun made a quick trip outside to gather some bird eggs.
He coated the sliced dragon tenderloin with egg white. Lacking starch, he used the ration powder instead, which also meant no extra salt was needed. Pouring oil onto a flat pan, he started frying. As a veteran foodie from the Gluttonous Empire, even with limited resources and finding substitutes for many things, he could still whip up a delicious meal.
Animal fat proved much more fragrant than vegetable oil. The sizzling was deeply inviting. The tenderloin coated in egg white and “starch” slowly turned golden. Fat crackled and popped, releasing an irresistible savory scent.
“Alright, it’s ready. Taste this first,” Su Lun said, using chopsticks to place a piece of cooked tenderloin onto a stone tray. He handed Heatherway her own chopsticks.
Heatherway eyed this new utensil curiously. She mimicked Su Lun’s grip. But being new to chopsticks, she struggled. Try as she might, she couldn’t pick up the fried wyvern meat. Beside her, Su Lun effortlessly picked up a golden piece and started eating with satisfaction.
Thud! Watching Su Lun relish his food while she failed irritated Heatherway. She slammed the chopsticks down, snapped her fingers, and summoned a Mage Hand to grab a piece directly.
“Heatherway,” Su Lun put his chopsticks down, inwardly amused, “a lady shouldn’t eat with her hands. Let me teach you this.” Taking her small hand, he guided her chopstick technique. It wasn’t hard. Heatherway learned quickly. Soon, she was picking up the dragon tenderloin and eating it ravenously.
“Wow! So savory! Delicious!” Heatherway’s beautiful eyes curved into crescent moons.
“Eavesdropping isn’t polite,” Su Lun stated after swallowing his meat, speaking towards the outside.
“Apologies,” a voice replied. “I didn’t mean to. It’s just… the smell… it was irresistible…” A figure only about four feet tall appeared at the entrance.
Short but not a child, he wore brown clothes. Two short swords hung at his waist, and a matching brown cap sat atop his head. Fine hair covered his hand backs. Clearly, he was a Halfling Rogue.
