Su Lun sensed the surge of power inside his body. Reaching Legendary, he clearly felt his strength grow again. Deep in his soul, a spark of lightning appeared. In that instant, his soul arrived at a magical place—a vast ocean full of endless power.
Forces mixed and twisted together, giving off an amazing giant force. They felt chaotic and berserk. Su Lun was like a tiny drop there. His soul changed in weird ways under this power, turning clearer and less blurry.
This place seemed to have no time or space. Su Lun didn’t know how long he stayed—maybe a second, maybe ten thousand years. Suddenly, his soul left the place and returned to his body. Seeing a still-cold snowflake in his palm, he knew just a moment had passed.
He felt the power again and found the once berserk Thunder Power calmer and easier to control. The stiffness from before disappeared.
His old Advanced Strength and Advanced Toughness upgraded to Legendary Strength and Legendary Toughness. Legendary Strength added two points to Strength and two points to Constitution over Advanced Strength. Legendary Toughness got a strong boost too.
Legendary Toughness: Through long training and battle, your body goes beyond normal people. You get greater health. Normal hits cut damage by one hundred percent. Health rises by one hundred points. Stamina rises by one hundred points. Stamina recovers two hundred percent faster. Health recovers one hundred percent faster. Resist Elements also kicks in, cutting elemental damage by twenty percent. Spell resistance added twenty points.
With this Legendary Toughness talent, Su Lun’s defense was unreal now. With Resist Elements and spell resistance, he could take normal spells head-on. He could even dip in lava just for fun.
Advancing to Legendary wasn’t just high stats. Though numbers mattered after Legendary, what counted more was touching the rules of power.
He better understood Thunder Power. He used to think he had it down well. But after feeling the rules, he saw how rough his old moves were, often wasting plenty of power.
After that check, Su Lun collected the loot. He needed time to get used to his new Legendary strength. The Frost Wyvern bodies there had to be handled fast.
Though Frost Wyverns were Lesser Dragons, anything linked to dragons made materials valuable. Heatherway popped out from her hiding spot. Way off, she jumped and dashed straight at Su Lun, crashing into him hard enough to knock him back onto a rock.
“Are you hurt?” Heatherway asked nervously, spotting blood on Su Lun. Her soft hands felt over him.
“Hey, I’m fine. That’s blood from the Frost Wyverns,” Su Lun said, grabbing her hands. He figured more touch might spark things, but this icy spot wasn’t fun—he’d rather head back to enjoy pillow pads and peak acts at home.
Assured he was okay, she sighed in relief. Then she cheered and ran to a Frost Wyvern body, ready to work. Su Lun fixed his tight clothes and walked over.
“So many Frost Wyverns, so many magic parts! We’re getting rich!” Standing by Heatherway, Su Lun saw the girl stroking a Frost Wyvern wing and whispering to herself, her eyes gleaming like Gold Nars. For the first time, Su Lun realized she was a total gold digger at heart.
“Wake up! Your drool’s about to freeze!” Su Lun teased, pinching Heatherway’s cute cheek.
“Where?” Heatherway wiped her lip out of habit, then snapped, “You tricked me!” She launched herself at Su Lun for a fight.
Su Lun pushed down on her head, keeping her from standing. Heatherway crouched down, swinging her arms like swimming. As a Wizard, her strength was hopeless against a tough guy like Su Lun.
“Enough messing. Time’s short. We must handle these Frost Wyvern corpses before they lose value,” he said.
“Hmph! I’ll save this for later. We’ll settle up at home,” Heatherway grumbled angrily.
Su Lun snickered inside. Challenging him after days of peace? Once back, she’d beg for mercy when he tried out his upgraded Plasma Cannon on her.
Frost Wyvern corpses sold high. The smallest one spanned fifteen meters in wings; the biggest, eighteen. Hauling them whole was impossible. Su Lun’s ten-cubic-meter Storage Space couldn’t fit so many bodies.
Heatherway carried space items too, but they couldn’t hold such giants. So they chopped the bodies, tossed junk or low-stuff, and kept the valuable parts to take home.
