The surrounding Goblin and Kobold slaves were so terrified that they scattered and ran.
Not far away, a Barbarian Warrior raised his Two-Handed Axe and leaped into the air.
His body soared three meters before he brought the giant axe down heavily on the Burrowing Worm.
“Slash!”
Flesh and blood flew everywhere.
The Burrowing Worm let out a series of painful cries and shook its head, trying to knock the Barbarian away.
The Barbarian Warrior stepped back and then swung his giant axe in a sweeping motion.
A huge gash was cut into the Burrowing Worm’s wrinkled skin, and yellow-brown blood gushed out.
After being severely injured, the Burrowing Worm twisted its body, trying to escape.
But as soon as half of its body was underground, it felt a sharp pain and was pulled back by a great force.
The Barbarian Warrior grabbed the rope and pulled hard.
The arrow’s barbs, buried deep in the Burrowing Worm’s flesh, held it tightly, and no matter how it struggled, it could not escape.
The Burrowing Worm thrashed wildly, its dozens of legs flailing and stirring up the soil all around.

Burrowing Worms are social creatures and, like wolf packs, have a strong desire for revenge.

“Another one.” Su Lun shook his spear and charged straight at the Burrowing Worm.
The worm’s vicious mouthparts snapped at Su Lun, but this time it had met its match.
The three-meter-long spear came down hard on its head, smashing the Burrowing Worm’s fearsome mouth into the ground.
With a light step, Su Lun leaped onto the Burrowing Worm’s head.
The heavy blow had left the worm dazed and unable to resist.
Su Lun thrust his spear through a gap in the shell into the Burrowing Worm’s brain.
The head shell of the Burrowing Worm was the best part, and he didn’t want to damage it.
While one Burrowing Worm attacked Su Lun, another hidden underground launched an assault on a Barbarian Warrior.
Acid Spray rained down, followed by a biting attack.
To deal with the Burrowing Worms, Su Lun had prepared some special shields.

But a nearby Kobold slave was not so lucky.

This Burrowing Worm had a large wound on its mouthparts—it was the one that had escaped last time.

The Barbarian Warrior clearly recognized that Burrowing Worm.

The Burrowing Worm was thrown ten meters into the air by the water before crashing down heavily.
Its already badly injured body suffered even more damage.
The fall from mid-air severely harmed its internal organs.
Yellow-brown blood kept flowing from its body, and its dozens of limbs twitched weakly, moving slower and slower until they finally stopped.
With the death of the last Burrowing Worm, all the Burrowing Worms in this area were cleared out.
Su Lun arranged for people to gather the slaves and then, with the others, transported the three Burrowing Worm corpses back to the town.
The hardest shell of the Burrowing Worm was on its head; the shells on its back were weaker but more suitable for making shields.
One Burrowing Worm could produce about ten shields.

The large Burrowing Worms had plenty of meat.

Although Burrowing Worms are Magical Beasts, for Wizards, there are very few useful parts on them.
The only valuable part might be the acid sac inside their bodies.
The acid sac stored a lot of acid, and for Wizards who hadn’t yet learned the ability to cast spells without materials, the acid sac was very good for casting Acid Splash and Acid Arrow.
The best material for casting Acid Arrow is a Wyvern’s poison sac.
But it’s important to remember: Burrowing Worms are only considered mid-level Magical Beasts, mainly because they live in groups.
If it were a Wyvern, unless a Grand Mage or higher level took action, anyone else would be seeking death.
Wyvern venom could easily corrode metal armor completely.
If someone’s physical strength wasn’t high enough, coming into contact with that venom would mean instant death.
