Chapter 22: Taming the Monster

Mu Yuan saw that the monster was huge and had never been heard of or seen before. With the ground covered in blood, he felt nervous. Even the tiger, known as the king of beasts, was so afraid, which was even more shocking!

Seeing the tiger crouch on the ground, not daring to move and only whimpering, Mu Yuan felt a little pity. It was natural for people to feel sorry for the weak. Holding the Dragon Soul Sword firmly, Mu Yuan felt much more confident. He activated the Dragon King’s Dynamic Force, and the Dragon Soul Sword immediately produced a sword beam thirty feet long. With a casual swing from Mu Yuan, the air filled with light. Within the light and shadows, there were low thunderclaps and bright electric sparks. Large amounts of Sword Qi poured down, enveloping the giant monster!

Then came a series of clear metallic clashing sounds, followed by explosive noises like thunder and drumbeats. Mu Yuan felt a shock in his hand, and the sword light dissipated. He was startled to see that the giant monster had been pierced with dozens of holes all over its body. Blood gushed out, and it looked miserable!

Wounded, the monster became even more violent. It opened its big hand, which was like a palm-leaf fan, and turned directly toward Mu Yuan, grabbing at him!

“Hmph, you reckless monster! I only used twenty percent of my power earlier, just testing the sharpness of the Dragon Soul Sword. I didn’t expect you to have such thick skin and tough flesh that you weren’t cut apart, only pierced by the Sword Qi!” Seeing the giant monster attacking, Mu Yuan of course didn’t fight it head-on. Mu Yuan saw that the giant monster seemed to have endless divine strength. It swung the two big trees, creating a defense so tight that not even water could get through. The black fire that could melt metal and refine iron couldn’t even get close to the branches before being pushed away. Black fire flew in all directions, filling the sky with light.

They faced off like this for half an hour. The giant trees in the monster’s hands showed no sign of weakening; instead, they spun faster and faster. This made Mu Yuan develop a bit of a desire for the giant monster!
