Chapter 198: Buying a House
Chapter 198: Buying a House
After working for a while, Lin Mu finally stopped. The blocked meridians in his shoulder were cleared by him. Some damage at the bone joints would naturally recover after some rest.
Anyway, Ye Zixi herself was an expert who had entered the Qi Cultivation Realm. Her physical constitution far exceeded ordinary people. Previously, the main issue was some Alien Energy that had not been expelled, so her recovery was slower.
Under Lin Mu’s careful acupuncture treatment, the internal and external injuries on her shoulder were mostly healed. The rest just required some rest for natural recovery.
“Alright, it’s mostly fine now. Just rest for a few days.”
Putting the Silver Needle back into the Acupuncture Pack, Lin Mu smiled slightly.
“Hey, it doesn’t hurt at all now!”
Ye Zixi sat up and rotated her shoulder, immediately exclaiming in surprise.
“Of course it doesn’t hurt. It’s basically recovered. The Alien Energy at the wound site has been expelled, so it will heal quickly now.”
Lin Mu tapped Ye Zixi’s little nose. “When you were healing, why didn’t you expel the Alien Energy left by others? Otherwise, how long would it take to recover?”
“I already expelled some. But that scorching energy was quite pure. Every time I used my power to expel it, it was really painful. The area around the wound got burned by that energy.”
Ye Zixi pouted pitifully.
“See what happens when you don’t practice properly! You’ve learned your lesson now. In the future, you must cultivate diligently. Once your Zhenqi becomes stronger, expelling such Alien Energy will be much easier.”
Lin Mu shook his head with slight annoyance.
“I have been cultivating seriously! It’s just that my progress is a bit slow.”
Ye Zixi said softly, a blush flashing across her face.
“Don’t I know you? You work for three days and slack off for two. If not, wouldn’t your cultivation be higher than it is today?”
Lin Mu sighed helplessly. Ye Zixi had excellent talent but just wouldn’t put effort into cultivation. With her casual approach, she still managed to reach the True Qi Cultivation Realm at this age. If she had cultivated properly, her current strength would at least be at Ji Qinglan’s level.
Compared to Ye Zixi, Ji Qinglan also possessed outstanding talent. Because she cultivated Frostglaze True Qi, her personality became increasingly cold. She usually didn’t interact much with others and always cultivated quietly alone, so her cultivation progressed rapidly.
“Did you expend Zhenyuan again just now?”
Fastening her bra strap, Ye Zixi asked while putting on her pajamas.
“It’s fine, just a little Zhenyuan. It just speeds up the wound recovery so no scars are left. Otherwise, a scar on such a beautiful shoulder would really spoil the view.”
Patting Ye Zixi’s little head, Lin Mu picked up the Acupuncture Pack and returned to his room with a smile.
“She really evokes pity! Such a pretty little shoulder should not have any scars!”
Ling Xuanrong sat down beside Ye Zixi with a laugh. She pulled open her pajama collar a bit, revealing her round, fair shoulder, praising admiringly.
“Annoying! What are you doing?!”
Ye Zixi quickly pulled her clothes up, blushing and scolding.
“Oh my! Miss Ye actually blushes? The sun must be rising from the west.”
Ling Xuanrong covered her mouth in feigned shock, wearing an expression of disbelief.
“Alright, stop teasing Zixi.”
Song Yuru interrupted the two with a smile.
“A-Mu has already transferred Zhenyuan to both of you, but not to me yet. I guess I need to find a chance to experience this Zhenyuan feeling too.”
Ling Xuanrong said, poking her lip with her index finger.
“That’s simple. Recently, your period hasn’t been on time, right? Let A-Mu take a look at you!”
Ye Zixi chuckled and nudged Ling Xuanrong playfully.
“That… it’s not necessary. It’s just a minor issue. Better not waste A-Mu’s Zhenyuan.”
Ling Xuanrong blushed slightly and said somewhat shyly. Seeing her expression, Song Yuru and Ye Zixi burst into laughter.
“What’s going on? What are you laughing so happily about?”
Lin Mu walked out of the room and asked with a smile.
“Xuanrong also wants to experience Zhenyuan, to see if it’s really that amazing.”
Song Yuru blinked, covering her mouth as she laughed.
“What’s so difficult about that? Maybe in the near future, you all can cultivate Zhenyuan too.”
Lin Mu shook his head with a smile.
“Us? Only Zixi has hope. After she becomes stronger, she should be like you. Xuanrong and I can’t; we don’t have the talent for cultivation!”
Song Yuru looked at Lin Mu strangely. Lin Mu knew their situations well—only Ye Zixi had entered the cultivation realm, while she and Ling Xuanrong’s constitutions weren’t suitable for cultivation.
“I know you can’t cultivate now, but who says you can’t in the future?”
Lin Mu smiled mysteriously. “In a while, I’ll see how my research turns out. If it succeeds, both you and Xuanrong can cultivate together.”
“Really?”
Ling Xuanrong’s eyes immediately lit up. She really envied Ye Zixi’s Martial Arts but was unable to cultivate herself, so she could only watch enviously.
“Of course. But I still need to experiment. I can’t let you get sick from it.”
Lin Mu laughed heartily and nodded affirmatively.
“Wow! Awesome!”
Ling Xuanrong jumped up, grabbed Ye Zixi’s shoulders, and shook her wildly. “Haha, I can cultivate too! Zixi, I’ll surpass you soon!”
“Wake up! Wake up!”
Ye Zixi rolled her eyes and patted Ling Xuanrong’s cheek. “Even if you can cultivate, I’ve already entered the Zhenqi Realm. I’m way ahead of you. Catching up to me isn’t something you can do in a few days!”
“Hmph! I’ll have A-Mu personally teach me cultivation. A-Mu cultivated for a much shorter time than you, but now he’s left you far behind!”
Ling Xuanrong puffed her cheeks and said defiantly.
“Hehe, A-Mu cultivates fast because he has exceptional talent. But your talent… tsk tsk, that’s hard to say. Unless A-Mu teaches you something like ‘Heaven and Earth Yin Yang Joyous Great Sorrow Scripture’ or directly transfers power to you.”
Ye Zixi covered her mouth and laughed. “Otherwise, trying to catch up to me is just daydreaming!”
“I’ll learn it! Sooner or later, I’ll surpass you, you annoying girl!”
Ling Xuanrong’s face reddened. She now knew what the “Joyous Great Sorrow Scripture” was, but she didn’t back down and deliberately tried to provoke Ye Zixi.
“Oh my! Someone actually wants to learn that embarrassing skill!”
Ye Zixi covered her face, looking teasingly at Ling Xuanrong. The two then started play-fighting, tumbling together on the sofa. For a moment, quite a bit of skin was exposed. Song Yuru shook her head helplessly, smiled, and got up to go into the kitchen.
At noon, the four had lunch at home. After the meal, they gathered in the living room and chatted happily for a while. In the afternoon, Lin Mu went out.
Driving the Maybach, Lin Mu went straight to Dragon Eye’s base. He hadn’t visited the Dragon Eye members for some time and wondered how their cultivation was progressing. Also, the incident with Ye Zixi made him more cautious; he needed to find a solution.
Arriving at the villa area where the Dragon Eye members stayed, Lin Mu didn’t go in immediately. Instead, he drove around the entire area to check the surroundings. Many villas had already been bought; few were left vacant.
After surveying the entire area, Lin Mu found a villa for sale behind and to the left of Dragon Eye’s villa. It seemed someone had bought it earlier but was now selling it because they were going abroad.
Considering it wasn’t too far from Donghai University—about half an hour by car—living here wouldn’t be inconvenient for going to school, and transportation was convenient.
Sitting in the car for a while, Lin Mu took out his Mobile Phone and called the landlord. After a brief conversation, the landlord said he was free to come over now so Lin Mu could see the house first before deciding whether to buy it. Lin Mu naturally agreed.
In less than half an hour, the landlord arrived in a Mercedes-Benz. Lin Mu was parked in front of the villa’s gate. He flashed his headlights twice and got out of the car.
The landlord was a middle-aged man, about fifty, who looked quite spirited. Seeing Lin Mu step out of the Maybach, he was very pleased. Someone so young driving a luxury car worth millions surely wouldn’t lack money.
For a landlord eager to sell the house and move abroad with his family, meeting such a buyer was great news. If Lin Mu liked it, the transaction could be completed on the spot without any delays.
Lin Mu greeted the landlord, who then showed him around the entire villa.
The villa had three floors with over a dozen rooms, all decorated in a luxurious Mediterranean style. Ornate chandeliers and oil paintings were everywhere, showing the landlord’s preference for European style. He introduced everything with confidence.
During their conversation, Lin Mu learned the landlord planned to immigrate to Spain and live there permanently—no wonder he liked European culture so much.
The decoration was very refined, appearing luxurious without any trace of being flashy or nouveau riche. It fully reflected the noble and elegant lifestyle of European aristocracy.
Although Lin Mu preferred traditional Chinese style, he also appreciated other ancient civilizations. After looking around the villa, he felt quite satisfied; living here would be nice.
The landlord offered a discounted price. Lin Mu thought about it briefly and bargained to round down the amount. The landlord agreed readily, so they settled on eight million. Lin Mu said he could pay the full amount anytime, which made the landlord very happy.
They spent some time handling all the procedures. With the house keys in hand, Lin Mu drove back to Dragon Eye’s villa.
No one was in the villa, which didn’t surprise Lin Mu at all. He went directly from the basement to the training ground below. Sure enough, all twenty-five Dragon Eye members were there, training enthusiastically.
