Chapter 179: Ghost Hand Fei
Chapter 179: Ghost Hand Fei
Night fell, and the nightlife in Jingdu officially began. Men and women of all sorts, dressed up nicely, left their homes and headed to various entertainment spots. After a tiring day, it was time to relax and have some fun.
The Triumph Bar had been renovated and was back in business. The number of customers was still very large.
Even though Jin Qianbao died, it did not stop the Triumph Bar from running. They just had a new boss. In Jingdu, this kind of thing was very common.
Close to midnight, an Audi R8 stopped in front of the Triumph Bar. A very strong man got out of the car, patted his sleeves, looked around, and then walked straight toward a young man at the entrance of the bar.
“I want to see Jin Qianbao.”
Under the light, the strong man was Tu Fei, the mixed-race man who had appeared earlier at the estate in Thailand.
The young man was smoking a cigarette and chatting with a girl next to him who had colorful hair. Suddenly interrupted, he turned around with an annoyed look.
“Looking for Jin Qianbao? Don’t you know he’s dead?! Get lost! Don’t ask for trouble!”
He blew smoke into the other man’s face and cursed arrogantly. Then he turned back to chat with the girl, completely ignoring the person in front of him.
Tu Fei did not get angry. He calmly stepped forward and, without warning, slapped the girl away. Then he grabbed the young man by the neck with one hand, lifted him into the air, and slammed him against the wall.
“I said I want to see Jin Qianbao. What did you say just now? I didn’t hear it clearly. Say it again.”
Tu Fei held the young man up effortlessly with one hand and spoke slowly. The girl, seeing this, did not dare make a sound. She covered her face and quickly ran away.
“B-brother Bao really is dead. The boss here isn’t him anymore. I’m not lying to you.”
The young man grabbed Tu Fei’s hand with both of his, trying hard to lift himself up to ease the pressure on his neck. His face turned bright red.
“What? Jin Qianbao is dead?”
Tu Fei was slightly stunned. He thought for a moment, then let go and put the young man down. “How did he die?”
“Ugh! Cough! I’m not really sure, but I heard that one night, the Triumph Bar got smashed up. Some young guy took on all of Brother Bao’s men by himself. That night, Brother Bao was fine, but the next day he died.”
His throat had been squeezed for too long. The young man grabbed his own neck and dry-heaved, but he still remembered to answer Tu Fei’s question.
“Who runs the Triumph Bar now?”
Tu Fei nodded. These low-level thugs at the door only heard rumors. You couldn’t expect them to know any secrets.
“Qin Ye is in charge now, but he isn’t here himself. Sang Ge runs the place.”
The young man finally caught his breath. His eyes were already red, and tears fell without him meaning to cry.
“Sang Ge?”
Tu Fei raised his eyebrows and showed a strange look in his eyes. Then he asked, “Qin Ye? You mean that old man Qin Haisheng?”
“Yes, yes, that’s the one.”
This man dared to say Qin Ye’s name directly, but the young man didn’t dare. He could only nod repeatedly.
“Alright, keep your eyes open from now on. If you’re this clueless as a underling, you’ll only ever be a underling.”
Tu Fei glanced at the young man who was bent over coughing, then walked straight into the bar.
The bar was at its busiest time. Countless men and women were wildly shaking their heads, wasting what little youth they had left. The deafening music made Tu Fei frown immediately.
He walked to the bar and sat down, then crooked his finger to call over the bartender.
“Tell your boss that Ghost Hand wants to see him.”
Tu Fei said softly into the bartender’s ear.
The bartender was stunned for a moment and looked at Tu Fei with doubt and surprise.
“Just say that. Don’t worry about the rest.”
Tu Fei waved his hand and sent the bartender off to deliver the message.
“Hey, handsome, feeling lonely all by yourself? How about having a drink with me?”
While Tu Fei was sitting alone waiting for news, a woman dressed very revealingly walked over. She put a hand on his shoulder and rubbed it lightly.
Tu Fei turned his head and smiled, then reached out and gave the woman’s butt a hard pinch. “Sorry, I’m waiting for someone. I’ll find you to have fun another time.”
The woman pouted and walked away bored, looking for the next handsome, rich guy to target.
“What did you say? Ghost Hand?”
Da Sang was sitting in a private room upstairs, drinking with a group of his underlings. When he heard the bartender’s words, he immediately put down his glass.
“Yes, Sang Ge, that’s what the man said—Ghost Hand.”
The bartender confirmed.
“I got it. Tell him to come up!”
Da Sang nodded, then waved his hand. The underlings next to him immediately stood up and followed the bartender out, leaving only him in the large private room.
A short while later, the door to the private room opened, and Tu Fei walked in.
“It really is you! I thought you died a long time ago!”
Looking at the person who came in, Da Sang narrowed his eyes and stood up immediately.
“Da Sang, you still remember me after all.”
Tu Fei closed the door behind him and smiled slightly.
“Of course I remember you! You bastard!”
Da Sang grinned, then suddenly rushed forward and punched Tu Fei in the face. Tu Fei stood still without moving, taking the punch head-on.
“If you hadn’t taken that knife for me, I might have died long ago! All these years, where did you run off to? You’re alive and didn’t even contact me! Do you even think of me as a brother?”
Da Sang’s face turned red with emotion, and he shoved Tu Fei’s chest a few times.
“Da Sang, I had no choice. That time I almost died. I barely made it out alive. Later, I went abroad and spent a long time recovering from my injuries. See, as soon as I returned to Jingdu, I came looking for you!”
Tu Fei smiled slightly and patted Da Sang’s shoulder. “By the way, how did you end up working for that old man Qin Haisheng?”
“Come, sit down and let’s talk slowly.”
Da Sang pulled Tu Fei down onto the sofa. With a sweep of his hand, he cleared away the assorted bottles and snacks on the table in front of them, making a clean space. Then he took out a few bottles of beer and put them on the table.
They opened the beers and happily downed a few bottles first, then slowly began to talk about the past.
“By the way, are you leaving again this time?”
Da Sang peeled a peanut and looked at Tu Fei as he asked.
“Well, I came back this time for something important. Since the Triumph Bar is now under Qin Haisheng’s control, it means he’s connected with the Yan Family. Maybe I can work with him on this matter.”
Tu Fei smiled and avoided answering Da Sang’s question directly.
“What’s so important? Could it stump the famous Ghost Hand Fei from back in the day?”
Da Sang laughed heartily.
Ghost Hand Fei—when Tu Fei heard this name, a hint of nostalgia flashed in his eyes. When he was young, because he was very skilled, he had made a name for himself in the underworld. Because he moved like a ghost when he fought, he got the nickname Ghost Hand.
“The Ghost Hand from back then is already dead.”
Tu Fei smiled slightly, tilted his head back and finished a bottle of beer. After wiping his mouth, he said, “Da Sang, help me find a chance to get in touch with Qin Haisheng. I have a business deal to discuss with him.
“What kind of business can you do with that old ghost? You know what he’s like—a complete old fox.”
Da Sang looked at Tu Fei strangely.
“Hehe, it’s exactly because he’s an old fox that I can get things done.”
Tu Fei smiled mysteriously.
“Your brother is right here. If you need any help, just tell me anytime.”
Da Sang nodded. “Tomorrow I’ll help you find an opportunity. I’ll contact you by phone then.”
…
Early morning at Jingdu International Airport, Lin Mu and his group arrived. They had reserved a section to shoot a movie.
They were going to film a scene where the male and female leads part ways, so the crew came early in the morning and started working busily. Luckily, Lin Mu and Yao Xianxian worked well together, so there were no problems. Everything went smoothly.
During a break after filming the middle part, everyone sat down on chairs in the waiting area to rest. Lin Mu took a hot corn cob handed to him by a staff member, broke it in half, and gave one half to Yao Xianxian.
“Wow, it’s hot!”
After taking a couple of bites, Lin Mu blew out a breath.
“Look at you, so eager!”
Yao Xianxian blew on hers gently, then took small bites.
Not far away, a group of ordinary-looking Europeans walked over. Each of them carried a travel backpack and pulled a suitcase, as if they were a tour group. There were more than twenty men and women in total.
This was a very common sight at Jingdu International Airport. There were many foreigners coming and going. After all, this was the capital of Huaxia. The number of tourists alone each day was huge, not to mention the many multinational companies that had offices in Jingdu.
But Lin Mu, who was eating the corn, suddenly looked alert. His eyebrows raised slightly, and he turned his head to glance at those people.
“I’ll go buy you a drink.”
Holding the corn, Lin Mu stood up and said. Then, without waiting for Yao Xianxian to reply, he walked straight toward a convenience store in the waiting area.
“Hey, there are drinks here already…”
Yao Xianxian swallowed the corn in her mouth, but before she could finish speaking, Lin Mu had already walked far away. She gave his retreating back a strange look, shook her head, and continued eating her corn.
“Oops, sorry, sorry! I hope I didn’t dirty your clothes?”
Lin Mu, who was holding the corn, somehow bumped into that group of Europeans. The corn fell on the ground.
“It’s okay. The clothes just need washing.”
The tall white man who was bumped into smiled slightly and spoke in stiff Mandarin.
“I’m really sorry.”
Lin Fei smiled apologetically, bent down to pick up the corn from the ground, and then left.
“Huh? Weren’t you going to buy a drink? Where is it?”
Seeing Lin Mu return empty-handed, Yao Xianxian asked curiously.
“Silly girl, you know I wasn’t really going to buy a drink. There’s something strange about those people.”
Lin Mu sat down and casually glanced in the direction of that group.
