Chapter 27: Wangcai’s Gun-Kata
Chapter 27: Wangcai’s Gun-Kata
“It was really bad luck. Whatever you feared would happen, happened.” Fatty Lei gritted his teeth and raised his Laser Rifle, aiming at the bugs below. “To protect my Sweet Potatoes, for my Credit Points. I must destroy you sons of bitches!” Fatty Lei snarled through clenched teeth and shouted loudly.
“Master, wait!” Just as Fatty Lei was about to pull the trigger, Wangcai raised a hand and pressed down on the muzzle of the Laser Rifle, stopping Fatty Lei. “Huh?” Fatty Lei was very puzzled why Wangcai would stop him.
“What do you want? Why are you stopping me from killing these sons of bitches?” Fatty Lei looked at Wangcai, very confused.
“Master, didn’t you want to see my strength?” Wangcai showed a bootlicking smile to Fatty Lei. “So, there’s no need for you to deal with these guys, Master. Let me keep them to show you my strength.”
“Uh!”
Fatty Lei stared dumbly at Wangcai. “There are more than ten of these Xenomorphs? I think we should wipe out most of them first, then leave one for you later.” Fatty Lei was actually very worried that Wangcai couldn’t handle so many Xenomorphs.
The Xenomorphs that had rushed to the base of the Metal Wall let out unpleasant screeching sounds. They wildly swung their thick, sharp forelimbs, continuously hacking and slashing at the wall of the Metal Wall.
“Clang! Clang Clang!”
Every slash produced a loud noise. And with every sound he heard, Fatty Lei’s face couldn’t help but grow more stern.
“These Xenomorphs are all very troublesome, I’m worried…” Fatty Lei knew very well the survivability and Combat Power of the Xenomorphs. The Laser Rifles were powerful, but the vitality of those Xenomorphs was even more formidable.
Fatty Lei had seen with his own eyes: he shot a Xenomorph, blowing off half its body, but that Xenomorph did not die. It even kept attacking the Metal Wall.
It wasn’t until he fired his gun, completely blasting its body into pieces, that the Xenomorph truly died.
From then on, Fatty Lei truly learned about the powerful vitality of those Xenomorphs and gained a deep understanding of it.
Besides having powerful vitality, these Xenomorphs also felt no pain and were very brutal and bloodthirsty. Moreover, they possessed incredibly strong armor and those two very sharp blade arms.
These creatures had no intelligence at all; they seemed born solely for combat. A fully armed human soldier might not even be a match for one Xenomorph…
In an instant, various memories about these Xenomorphs flashed through Fatty Lei’s mind.
“Master! Leave everything to me. You just watch.”
Wangcai knew Fatty Lei was worried that he couldn’t defeat those Xenomorphs. After all, those Xenomorphs were about two or three meters tall and extremely fierce.
And he himself only had a human appearance, looking rather weak and frail.
No matter who it was, they wouldn’t think he could win against the Xenomorphs.
“Crack! Crack!”
Wangcai turned and leaped, jumping onto the edge of the Metal Wall.
He crossed his arms over his chest, holding a Laser Rifle in each hand.
At this moment, the fawning expression Wangcai had when facing Fatty Lei was gone, as was the bootlicking demeanor. It was replaced by a cold, stern face, making him look like a cool, handsome older man.
“My Master relies on this Sweet Potato Tree to earn money. How can I allow you to damage it?” Looking coolly at the frenzied Xenomorphs below, he spoke coolly. “I, Wangcai, am counting on my Master becoming successful later, so he can upgrade my level and give me more authority. So…” As Wangcai said this, a sharp glint flashed in his eyes.
“I will eliminate you, on behalf of my Master!”
Wangcai leaped into the air. He crossed his arms over his chest, curled his legs, and performed a tucked forward flip with a twist in the air, finally landing among the Xenomorphs in a spread-eagle kneeling pose.
Wangcai hung his head low, his arms held level, holding a Laser Rifle in each hand. He knelt on one knee, stirring up a cloud of Yellow Sand.
Wangcai’s appearance caused the Xenomorphs that were frantically attacking the Military Outpost’s Metal Wall to abruptly stop their assault. They hadn’t expected that the tiny, weak speck in their eyes would have the courage to charge into their midst.
“Swish swish~”
After a brief stillness, the Xenomorphs quickly surrounded Wangcai. Even the one that was about to charge towards the Sweet Potato Tree, seeing this situation, turned back and joined in surrounding Wangcai.
“Screech~ screech~ scree~”
Over a dozen Xenomorphs, gnashing and clawing, surrounded Wangcai. Fatty Lei’s heart jumped into his throat.
Although Wangcai had told Fatty Lei not to worry, seeing Wangcai now surrounded, Fatty Lei couldn’t help but worry about his safety. After all, this Intelligent Butler, Wangcai, really didn’t look as fierce as those Xenomorphs.
The Xenomorphs jostled and pushed against each other, slowly tightening the encirclement.
And Wangcai remained in that pose: head bowed looking at the sand, arms held level with a Laser Rifle in each hand, kneeling on one knee.
Fatty Lei was far too worried about Wangcai’s safety. So he shouted loudly and fired first at the Xenomorphs surrounding Wangcai below.
“Wangcai, run!”
“Zap!!!”
An eerie blue laser beam shot from the gun barrel. It hit a Xenomorph directly behind Wangcai. “Splat!” One-quarter of its body was blown apart.
“Screeeeeech~~!!!!!”
This Xenomorph, with a quarter of its body blown away, moved its six lower legs back and forth. It suddenly raised its body high, waved its two sharp blade arms making a ‘whoosh whoosh’ sound as they cut the air, and charged madly towards Wangcai.
Perhaps because of Fatty Lei’s shot, or perhaps because Fatty Lei had blown away a part of its body, all the Xenomorphs surrounding Wangcai moved at that moment.
The Xenomorph that had a quarter of its body blown off had fluorescent green liquid continuously splashing out from inside it, scattering everywhere. This liquid, comparable to sulfuric acid, fell onto the Desert, making a ‘sizzle~ sizzle~’ corroding sound.
Facing the assault of over a dozen Xenomorphs, Wangcai seemed completely unaware, still maintaining that pose.
Seeing this, Fatty Lei couldn’t help but feel anxious inwardly.
“Wangcai! Run quickly!”
Fatty Lei fired two more shots from the metal platform at the Xenomorphs below.
And shouted loudly down to Wangcai below.
Wangcai seemed not to hear Fatty Lei’s shouts at all. He knelt on one knee, motionless.
“Screeeech~~!!!”
Over a dozen Xenomorphs let out screeches in unison. They raised their forelimbs and, surrounding Wangcai, chopped down at him.
“Whoosh! Whoosh!” The sound of slicing air rang out, as if foretelling Wangcai’s Destiny.
But was that really the case?
“Thump!”
A cloud of sand rose up, making Fatty Lei’s vision somewhat blurry.
“Screech screech screech!”
Those Xenomorphs also screeched more chaotically.
Fatty Lei suddenly looked up and saw that Wangcai himself, who had originally been kneeling on one knee on the sand, had somehow already reached mid-air.
Wangcai was upside down, head below feet, his body spinning rapidly. His arms were stretched out level, like an inverted cross.
The Xenomorphs had pounced on empty air, not expecting that weak little guy had jumped into the air. Wangcai made these Xenomorphs very angry, and the consequence of Xenomorph anger was that they began to call out loudly, then started looking up at Wangcai in mid-air, constantly waving their sharp forelimbs, occasionally leaping up to attack.
Unfortunately, the jumping ability of these Xenomorphs really wasn’t very good, so each time they failed to hit Wangcai. And precisely because of this, these Xenomorphs became even angrier.
In Fatty Lei’s eyes, Wangcai’s outstretched arms suddenly swung.
Dozens of eerie blue laser beams shot out in all directions.
“Zap! Zap! Zap!”
“Thud!”
Wangcai landed. At the same time, the Xenomorphs closest to him were hit by those dozens of laser beams, their bodies shattering into pieces.
His hands swung once more, creating phantom images of his arms in Fatty Lei’s eyes.
Wangcai began his performance.
Wangcai raised his right hand and fired a shot that blasted apart the entire face of a Xenomorph approaching his left side. He took a step back with his foot. A Xenomorph behind him slashed down with its blade arm, and as it fell, Wangcai lifted his left arm and pulled the trigger. “Zap” It blew off half of its head.
Wangcai’s feet kept moving, his body turned.
As two Xenomorphs crashed to the ground, Wangcai swung his arms, turned his body to the side, and the Laser Rifles in his left and right hands aimed directly into the wide-open mouths of two Xenomorphs.
“Zap!”
Two more Xenomorph lives were added to Wangcai’s count.
The Xenomorphs continuously charged at Wangcai, but Wangcai just moved forward, backward, left, and right in place. His arms also extended levelly, swung, retracted, and lifted high with clear rhythm.
All of Wangcai’s movements were so elegant and yet so bizarre. It was as if he had calculated the trajectory of every step those Xenomorphs would take, and then inflicted maximum damage on them.
Watching Wangcai’s performance, Fatty Lei’s mouth hung wide open.
“Oh my god!” Fatty Lei muttered. “Can it really be played like this?”
Fatty Lei simply couldn’t believe what he was seeing, because everything he saw completely exceeded his understanding.
The dull reports of the Laser Rifles sounded continuously. The number of Xenomorphs was gradually decreasing.
“Click! Click!”
Arms crossed, Wangcai struck a cool pose.
“Boom!” The last Xenomorph fell before Wangcai.
“That was just too damn exciting!” Fatty Lei was stunned and speechless. “I really never expected that guy Wangcai had such skills.”
Wangcai’s performance was a great surprise to Fatty Lei.
He retracted the Laser Rifles and placed them back against the outside of his thighs. Wangcai sprang up and leaped back onto the twenty-meter-high Metal Wall.
“Master! Was my performance spectacular?”
When facing Fatty Lei, Wangcai put away that cool demeanor and again showed that sycophantic look, gazing at Fatty Lei like a lapdog as he spoke.
Fatty Lei raised a hand and stroked his chin. He walked a circle around Wangcai.
“Hmm~, I really never expected it.” Fatty Lei uttered words of admiration. “I really never expected you, this guy, to have such skills.”
Fatty Lei looked at Wangcai with shining eyes.
“I wonder if this technique of yours has a name?” Fatty Lei suddenly asked.
“Gun-Kata!” Wangcai looked at Fatty Lei and replied with a face full of flattering expression.
