Chapter 133: Idiots Are Everywhere

Lei Yaotian looked at the guy in front of him who stuck his nostrils out arrogantly and really wanted to give him a good beating. But he also knew that was impossible.

Frank stood respectfully between the two groups, making introductions to both sides.

Lei Yaotian finally understood—the Military Department sent this Lan Qi to see him because they were interested in those two technologies he had.

Especially the technology that reduced energy loss.

“Lan Qi! Don’t you think you’re overreaching?”

Count William, who had just been criticized by Lan Qi, could no longer hold back and spoke up.

Count William’s purpose for coming was also to obtain the technology in Lei Yaotian’s hands. Although William was an official in the Civil Affairs Department, his backer was Elle, the brother of His Majesty Balthers.

Count William’s expression turned even more colorful. He frowned and roared at Lei Yaotian, “You country bumpkin, you’re just seeking the Divine Glory Empire’s protection. “Shut up!”

William was taken aback by Lan Qi’s shout, but then his face turned red with rage, his expression becoming as fierce as a wild beast.

“Lan Qi, you’re just relying on Duke Muse’s backing. Don’t think you’re so great. When it comes down to it, you’re the same as me—you’re after this country bumpkin’s technology. Why pretend to be the good guy?”

Provoked by Lan Qi’s rebuke, Count William began spouting nonsense without thinking.

Lan Qi’s expression gradually darkened.

“Are all of Prince Elle’s subordinates such fools? No wonder they couldn’t compete with His Majesty Balthers in the struggle for the throne.” Lan Qi glanced at the still-shouting Count William and curled his lip in disdain.

“Throw this guy out!”

Lei Yaotian couldn’t even be bothered to look at the idiot William anymore.

“Yes, Young Master.”

Following Lei Yaotian’s command, Wangcai led a small squad of fully armed Artificial Human Soldiers and quickly marched toward Count William.

“What are you doing? If you dare lay a hand on me, I’ll make sure all of you—”

Before William could finish, one of the Artificial Human Soldiers struck him in the mouth with a rifle butt. The blow immediately knocked out several of William’s teeth and silenced him.

“If he makes any more noise, just finish him off!”

After casually leaving that instruction, Lei Yaotian smiled and made a gesture to Lan Qi.

“Let’s talk in the Lounge. I don’t think this is a good place for a conversation.”

Lan Qi showed no reaction at all to William being struck.

“It seems the power struggles within the Divine Glory Empire aren’t very peaceful,” Lei Yaotian thought to himself as he observed Lan Qi’s calm expression.

The Artificial Human Soldiers escorted the struggling William to a platform outside the Space Carrier and then tossed him into a Hover Vehicle. The Hover Vehicle then took William to the Port on the Administrative Planet, where he was left without further attention.

William was dizzy, his cheek swollen high.

“Bastards! How dare you hit me? I’ll make sure you country bumpkins all die here.” William’s eyes burned with hatred as he glared fiercely at Lei Yaotian’s Space Carrier.

But for now, the situation was against him, and all he could do was curse. He had no troops or Warships at his disposal; even if he wanted to cause trouble for Lei Yaotian, he had no means.

Was he supposed to confront a Space Carrier with his bare hands?

That was clearly impossible. Even if William was an idiot, he wasn’t that foolish.

After cursing a few more times, William turned and headed toward the Port’s management office. What he needed to do now was inform Prince Elle about this incident and await his decision.

At that moment, Princess Yana and Kanpa, who had just arrived at the Port to meet Lei Yaotian, spotted William’s retreating figure.

“Your Highness, by all accounts, William should be meeting with the other party now. Why is he still at the Port? Something doesn’t seem right here,” Kanpa suddenly remarked.
