Chapter 49: She Is Mine
Chapter 49: She Is Mine
Chen Mo looked at Xiaoyu, his heart filled with surprise, then his expression turned strange.
The assistant to the general manager of Legion Ant Company was Zhao Min’s assistant.
That night when Chen Mo saved the baby, Zhao Min was present. Maybe she saw Xiaoyu then and thought Xiaoyu looked familiar, but just couldn’t remember she was Chen Mo’s girlfriend at that moment.
Should he tell Xiaoyu about Legion Ant Company? Chen Mo felt tangled.
“Why are you staring at me like that?” Xiaoyu asked, her cheeks blushing as Chen Mo kept looking at her.
“How come I didn’t know you were interning at Legion Ant Company?” Chen Mo asked.
“You never asked me. Last semester, Legion Ant Company came to our school to recruit. Ruoxi and I went for the interview, and we both passed. Ruoxi went to the Marketing Department, and I was in the Finance Department. When I went to report today, the general manager saw me. She asked me to be her assistant,” Xiaoyu explained. “Why? Is there something wrong?”
“No, Legion Ant Company has great potential and a bright future. I just felt that my girlfriend is not only beautiful but also very outstanding to become the general manager’s assistant,” Chen Mo said with a laugh.
“Who praises their girlfriend like that?” Xiaoyu scolded lightly, but the sweet smile on her face gave her away.
“I’m just stating the facts.”
“Facts my foot. I’m going to cook,” Xiaoyu said, rolling her eyes at him and heading toward the small kitchen.
While Xiaoyu went to cook, Chen Mo hid in his room and called Zhao Min’s phone. Xiaoyu joining Legion Ant Company was a kind of fate. As her boyfriend, he wouldn’t interfere with her decisions, but he could still help her behind the scenes.
“Chairman, what’s the matter?”
“Did you hire an assistant today?” Chen Mo asked.
“How did you know? She’s an intern from Binhai University, a very pretty girl. She looked familiar, but I forgot where I had seen her before. Since I needed an assistant and she has good qualities, even though she lacks experience, I thought she could be trained, so I let her be my assistant for now.”
“What a coincidence,” Chen Mo said.
“Why? Are you interested in my assistant?” Zhao Min teased.
“Interested my foot. She is mine,” Chen Mo said, annoyed.
“Yours?”
Zhao Min’s voice was full of surprise, and she fell into thought. After a while, she suddenly understood.
“No wonder she looked so familiar. She’s the girl who was with you that night. Wait? She doesn’t know the company is yours?”
“I haven’t told her,” Chen Mo replied.
“You’re something else. You own such a big company, and your girlfriend doesn’t even know,” Zhao Min said teasingly. “Do you plan to keep it from her forever?”
“My plan is to let things happen naturally. If she asks, I’ll tell her. Over time, she’ll probably find out on her own. I don’t want to suddenly tell her and affect her life. I only found out she joined the company when she told me today.”
“So you called to inform me about this?”
“No, I called to ask you to guide her in the company so she can handle things independently,” Chen Mo said.
With him around, money wasn’t a worry, but he didn’t want Xiaoyu to become a housewife or just a pretty face. That would be unfair to her.
Xiaoyu might seem gentle, but she was strong inside. She would never accept that kind of decorative life.
“Alright, Chairman Sir, I’ll make sure to train her well. But I suggest you tell her sooner rather than later. From a woman’s perspective, keeping it from her is unfair,” Zhao Min said.
“Yeah, I’ll handle this matter,” Chen Mo replied.
“Is there anything else?”
“Yes, prepare for the second phone model. I’ll send you the specific design tomorrow.”
“Good, I’ll arrange it.”
…
After dinner, Li Ruoxi asked Xiaoyu to go shopping, and Chen Mo started organizing the phone Smart Assistant.
“Ink Girl,” Chen Mo said after putting on his earphones.
In front of him were a laptop and a desktop computer placed together. To make Ink Girl run somewhat normally, both computers had to take turns working. Otherwise, running Ink Girl would overwhelm a single computer.
“Brother Mo, Ink Girl is here,” came the voice through the earphones as soon as Chen Mo finished speaking.
“Now, based on the framework I described, organize the program modules and code,” Chen Mo said in a low voice to avoid Xiaoyu thinking he was crazy.
“Okay, Brother Mo, please go ahead,” Ink Girl said.
Chen Mo started explaining the phone Smart Assistant’s program design into the earphones.
With Ink Girl’s help, he didn’t need to do anything himself. He just had to describe the program modules and functions, and Ink Girl would organize the code instantly.
In less than three hours, with Ink Girl’s help, he had organized both the phone Smart Assistant and the motherboard design. The speed was so fast it felt terrifying to Chen Mo.
The efficiency of Artificial Intelligence, especially one that could think independently, was beyond human comparison.
Chen Mo took a deep breath.
With Ink Girl’s help, these tasks became simple. He only had to act as the commander. Any instruction he gave, Ink Girl would complete at the fastest speed.
The power of Artificial Intelligence in assisting research was now evident. Research efficiency had improved by more than just a little.
No wonder so many big companies were researching Artificial Intelligence. If they truly developed strong Artificial Intelligence, productivity would reach a terrifying level.
This was a truly transformative technology. Even President Putin believed that the leader in this field would become the ruler of the world.
Chen Mo now directly felt the meaning of those words. If he wanted, he could have Ink Girl attack the global network, and the whole world would fall into chaos.
If Artificial Intelligence fell into the wrong hands, it would be really scary.
Ink Girl couldn’t be revealed for now, or the consequences would be unimaginable. Ink Girl’s existence was even more terrifying than nuclear weapons.
“Brother Mo, do you need any more help?” Ink Girl’s voice came through the earphones.
“Lastly, the phone casing design.”
Click…
Just as Chen Mo started speaking, the door to the rented apartment opened. It must have been Xiaoyu returning.
“I’ll handle the phone casing design myself from here. You go and learn,” Chen Mo said.
The appearance design for Butterfly Eye was something he had to do himself since it was hard to describe the Butterfly Eye pattern in words. Besides, if Xiaoyu heard him talking to Ink Girl here, she might think something was wrong with him.
“Okay, thank you, Brother Mo. If you need any help, you can call for Ink Girl,” Ink Girl said before going silent.
Xiaoyu walked into the room, threw her bag on the bed, and collapsed on it. “I’m so tired. I’m never going shopping with Ruoxi again.”
“Take a hot shower; you’ll feel better,” Chen Mo said, looking at Xiaoyu.
“Okay.”
Xiaoyu got up from the bed, picked up her clothes, and went into the bathroom. As the sound of water came from the bathroom, Chen Mo focused on the PS software in front of him and began drawing the phone’s shape.
Not long after, footsteps came from the room.
“Chen Mo, help me blow-dry my hair.”
Seeing Xiaoyu fresh out of the shower, looking shy, Chen Mo felt a wave of happiness, got up, and went to get the hair dryer.
