In the office area, Chen Mo sat on the sofa. Wang Hai had already put the listening device back in its original place and now stood in front of him.

Chen Mo gave Xiaoyu a look. Understanding, Xiaoyu left the reception room.
“Mr. Chen, I am Yang Yuanhao. We are from the police. We came here because we need your help with something,” said the young man with black-framed glasses who had come with Tong Yu. Sensing the awkward atmosphere, he quickly changed the subject.
“Go ahead,” Chen Mo said as he sat down on the sofa.
“Tong Yu, you tell him,” Yang Yuanhao looked at Tong Yu.
Tong Yu composed herself and sat on the sofa. “Mr. Chen, did anything strange happen to you today?”
Chen Mo looked at Wang Hai. Wang Hai nodded slightly. “This morning, a woman planted a tracker and a listening device in the Chairman’s car.”

Tong Yu and Zheng Xun exchanged a look. Recently, their Security Bureau had been monitoring an Island Nation spy in Binhai City. But just yesterday, they discovered that this spy had met with two other people for an exchange.
According to the information they had, the two people who met with the spy were active near the Legion Ant Company last night.

Tong Yu took out a photo and handed it to Chen Mo.
“The face shape and eyes look similar. She wore heavy makeup and probably a wig too, so I can’t be sure.”
Chen Mo took the photo and looked at it. The woman bore some resemblance to the one who had stopped the car that morning, especially the look in her eyes. He was about seventy percent sure this was the same woman he encountered that morning.
“Alright, we understand,” Tong Yu nodded. “Are the listening device and tracker she left still here? We need to take them back as evidence for later.”
“Wang Hai, take her to get them. You have half a day off. Come back before I finish work this afternoon,” Chen Mo said.
“Thank you, Chairman,” Wang Hai said.
“Then, Mr. Chen, let’s take a simple statement,” Yang Yuanhao said.
Wang Hai and Tong Yu walked toward the garage. Neither spoke along the way. Wang Hai’s eyes were full of pain and guilt. He couldn’t bring himself to look at Tong Yu.
“Why are you avoiding me?” Tong Yu asked.
“I’m sorry,” Wang Hai said calmly. “I’ve already failed your sister. I can’t fail you too.”
“But you already have failed me,” Tong Yu bit her lip. “You’re shirking your responsibility. Are you even a man? Sister asked you to take care of me. Is avoiding me your way of taking care of me?”
“That was an accident. I’m sorry. I wanted some quiet time to think, to give you an answer later. I just… I can’t face it right now,” Wang Hai’s face showed his guilt.
“Then I’ll wait for your answer,” Tong Yu’s gaze was firm.
Seeing her expression, Wang Hai sighed inwardly. He said nothing more and led Tong Yu toward the garage.
“Are you sure you want to take the listening device and tracker? If the listening device disappears, you’ll alert the enemy,” Wang Hai said. “Why don’t you just arrest them?”

“You don’t have solid evidence yet?” Wang Hai asked.

Wang Hai led Tong Yu to the car. He placed the listening device and tracker into a special small metal box.
At Blue Sea Resort, Yeh Tian looked at his computer screen. After confirming that the listening device and tracker had lost connection, his face turned grim.
“Mei Huizi, where are you?” Yeh Tian picked up his phone and asked directly.
“Near the Legion Ant Company.”
“The connection to the listening device and tracker is gone. They probably found them,” Yeh Tian said. “Was your cover blown?”
“Impossible. I’m heading back now.”
Mei Huizi hung up the phone. She took one last look at the Legion Ant Company building, then hailed a taxi and left.
When she returned to the resort and saw the situation on the computer, her face also darkened. She was sure she had done everything perfectly. She couldn’t understand how they were exposed. Ordinary people wouldn’t even know she placed the device under the car.
