Chapter 131: Puppet-Type Ability User

Seeing this suddenly appearing, amiable-looking young man push the door open, the people in the room had slight changes in their expressions.

Lu Xin didn’t reply, merely giving a slight nod. His gaze remained fixed on the Man in Red Suit opposite him.

That man had long hair and wore a gaudy Red Suit, looking incredibly flashy. Remarkably for a place like the Wilderness, his Crimson Suit was both vividly colored and impeccably clean, making him stand out like a flower amidst the dusty crowd.

Lu Xin recognized him without needing Mother to point him out.

He was the Puppet-Type Ability User from the Knights Order that attacked Satellite City No.2.

The reason was simple. When Lu Xin saw the smile on his face, it felt familiar.

Back then, a Psycho-modified Human had tried to get close to him, but he had blown its head off. Now, looking at this Man in Red Suit, he felt the smile was very similar to that Psycho-modified Human’s. Thinking back, whoever was smiling at him through that Psycho-modified Human then was this Man in Red Suit. It was he who had shown that smile towards Lu Xin through the Psycho-modified Human.

The Man in Red Suit, meeting Lu Xin’s gaze, paused slightly, then offered a light smile.

The burly man sitting opposite him, whose throat was still pressed by Gecko’s dagger, shifted uncomfortably.

After laying down his cards, the Man in Red Suit leaned back slowly, resting against the chair back. His narrow eyes held a sharp glint as he surveyed Lu Xin and Gecko, before saying with a slow smile, “Who are you?”

Gecko instinctively glanced at Lu Xin.

Lu Xin’s expression didn’t change. He just said slowly, “I think you should know who I am, so I won’t answer that question. But I will state my purpose. I’m here to take you back. You’d better not resist, because I intend to take you in alive. Executing you after standing trial and being sentenced feels more… meaningful that way.”

“But since I have no experience fighting Ability Users, I can only go for the kill in a fight.”

Gecko’s expression turned slightly strange hearing these words.

The Man in Red Suit, however, smiled even more broadly.

As they twisted their bodies, one pulled a Handgun from beneath his chair and aimed it treacherously at Lu Xin.

The other used his shoulder to heave the poker table upwards, trying to throw it at Gecko, who was holding the gun.

“Naughty!” Gecko barked sharply.

The report of gunfire sounded simultaneously with his shout.

The gun spinning swiftly in his hand emitted two short, sharp, and loud cracks.

The two trouble-makers collapsed limply to the ground. One had taken a bullet between the eyes; the other was shot in the shoulder.

Their movements faltered for an instant before they slumped down insensibly.

The situation in the room seemed to give a moment of relief.

What no one expected, however, was that the Man in Red Suit sitting across the table suddenly smiled again at that very moment.

In the next second, the two men who had fallen limp suddenly snapped their eyes wide open.

Both the one shot in the forehead and the one shot in the shoulder began to move with astonishing speed and ferocity.

One, lying prone on the ground, aimed his gun at Lu Xin and pulled the trigger.

The other rapidly thrust the table upwards, sending cards and money flying everywhere.
