Chapter 125: Headless

The female corpse under Victor’s feet was now a mess of flesh and bone. Rows of twisted muscles and bone fragments made it unrecognizable, completely devoured beyond its original form.

Wiping the corner of his mouth, Victor looked down at the chaotically eaten body and felt no more interest. But Peter had said each person could only eat one woman, and he dared not disobey the order.

Licking his lips, just as he felt an unbearable itch, a cold smile suddenly appeared at the corner of his mouth. “That Charlie probably hasn’t started eating yet. We agreed on one each, meaning three women. Heh, if I go steal his and eat it, I’ll get an extra one.”

Thinking this, Victor felt his stomach seemed to speed up its churning, as if his abdomen was empty, and a strong sense of hunger surged through him.

He couldn’t wait any longer and immediately headed in the direction Charlie had left.

But after searching for over ten minutes, aside from knocking out more than twenty passengers again and scaring off a group of people, he found no trace of Charlie. Not only Charlie, but he didn’t see Marie either. The surroundings had quietly grown still.

No screams, no cries of pain—it seemed as if everyone had vanished. The air seemed to carry a dangerous scent.

“Hmm?” Sensing something was wrong, Victor slowed his pace, pricked up his ears, and twitched his nose as if sniffing for danger in the air.

“Something’s off. This smell is a bit familiar…”

Just as he thought this, Victor narrowed his eyes. A few meters ahead on the floor, a piece of flesh lay on the ground. The bloody smell he had just detected was coming from this flesh.

In the corridor behind the flesh, all the lights had gone out at some point, creating a mass of heavy shadows. But Victor had Night Vision, so he could clearly see that the corridor was empty.

He could also trace the bloodstains from the flesh leading to a nearby room. The room’s door was open, and it was pitch black inside. The bloodstains looked as if someone had dragged the flesh out from there.

Victor sneered, “Charlie, if this is a joke, I don’t find it funny at all. You’d better come out now.”

There was no sound, as if the world around Victor had drifted away. In the quiet darkness, only the broken flesh and eerie bloodstains remained.

A cold gleam shone in Victor’s eyes. “Whoever you are, you’ve pissed me off.” As he said this, he strode confidently toward the room indicated by the bloodstains, seemingly unconcerned by the strange situation.

As soon as he entered the room, his eyes followed the bloodstains and saw several broken pieces of flesh piled together in the darkness, completely unrecognizable as to whose body they were. But the familiar scent from the blood was unmistakably Charlie’s.

“Is this Charlie? But how is that possible? There are no powerful Eastern Martial Artists on this ship. The strongest one was taken away by Marie.” These thoughts flashed through Victor’s mind, but he remained vigilant, scanning the entire room with his eyes.

But just as he looked to his left, toward the area behind the door, a figure suddenly appeared before him. Before he could think about how the figure had appeared or if it had been hiding there all along, a burst of intense white light shot out from the figure’s head.

It was the Light Energy that had been gathered in Zuo Zhicheng’s left eye, known as the Night Sea, now released from his left eye. It was as if a Sun had suddenly appeared in the room. The terrifying light instantly flooded Victor’s vision, leaving nothing but white in his eyes.

Zuo Zhicheng had already stepped back. “Night Vision means his eyes are very sensitive to light, so this flash effect is even more powerful against them.”

Zuo Zhicheng’s guess was right. Victor’s optic nerves were highly sensitive to light. For an ordinary person, vision might start to recover after a few seconds, but Victor was instantly blinded.

This eye condition, caused by nerve and blood vessel blockage, clearly couldn’t be cured by simple self-healing abilities.

But Zuo Zhicheng didn’t immediately attack. Instead, he stepped back a few paces because he knew that the initial moment of blindness was when the opponent’s alertness was highest.

Sure enough, upon realizing he could see nothing, Victor let out a furious roar and began wildly attacking his surroundings. The air whistled as countless punches flew around him, and he cursed loudly.

“Who are you!”

“You’re dead! I’ll bite your flesh off piece by piece when I catch you!”

Victor continued to threaten while attacking relentlessly, throwing punches and slashes in all directions. His face turned ashen, and sharp teeth, like those of a piranha, protruded as he snarled and postured.

With a bang, his fist struck the door panel, blasting a huge hole in it. Then, with a series of tearing motions, the entire door shattered into countless flying fragments.

Unfortunately, his attacks were useless. From the moment he entered the room until he saw the figure and the burst of light, he hadn’t even caught a glimpse of Zuo Zhicheng’s appearance, so he didn’t know who had attacked him.

Seeing Victor frantically attacking his surroundings, Zuo Zhicheng smirked coldly. He raised a finger, and the Dagger originally placed across the room flew up, thrusting toward Victor’s back.

A thread was wrapped around the Dagger’s handle, with the other end held by Zuo Zhicheng. With a pull from a distance, the Dagger instantly leaped forward, aiming for Victor.

Victor, just blinded, was at his most alert. Hearing the sound of something cutting through the air behind him, he roared, turned around without thinking, and punched toward the Dagger’s location.

With a thud, his punch sent the Dagger flying, but in doing so, he completely exposed his back to Zuo Zhicheng.

Faced with such an opportunity, Zuo Zhicheng didn’t hesitate. He closed in lightly, leaped up, and landed obliquely behind Victor. Then, kneeling down, he placed his knees on Victor’s shoulders, clamping Victor’s head between his thighs. Using the momentum of his body weight and the explosive force from his thighs, waist, and entire body,

Zuo Zhicheng spun 360 degrees. Victor’s clamped head followed, spinning a full circle, instantly separating from his body.

This series of movements flowed seamlessly. Before Victor could react, only a headless corpse remained standing in the room, blood spraying continuously from the severed wound.
