Chapter 119: Golden Hair

The golden-haired woman smiled and threw a flirtatious glance at Zuo Zhicheng before she and the three other Western men walked to an empty spot on the deck.

“Hehe, Marie, you’ve got your eyes on another target?” said a short, sturdy man with a golden buzz cut. He leered at the chest of the golden-haired woman called Marie. “What’s so great about these yellow-skinned monkeys? You’d be better off picking me.”

The man’s chest muscles bulged, and his chest hair was almost visible from his collar.

Marie frowned and sneered at his words. “Victor, I can smell your stench from ten kilometers away. If you want to sleep with me, go take a proper bath first. Besides, even if we did, I couldn’t tear you apart during sex—that’s the best part.”

“Bathing is out of the question. This is the smell of a real man, proof of bravery. Bathing only makes me sick and weak.”

“Alright, enough,” said a tall, thin man with a golden ponytail in the middle of the group. “I’m not interested in hearing you two argue. Look around—there’s fresh blood everywhere, no demon hunters, no mages. What a beautiful Eastern country. Why don’t we just enjoy this leisurely time here?”

“But I can’t wait any longer, Peter,” said a disheveled Westerner in a suit who looked like a tramp, standing next to the tall, thin man. Drool dripped from the corner of his mouth as he muttered, “How much longer until we can make our move?”

“Not yet, Charlie. We’re too close to the port. We have to wait until tonight, when we’re out at sea. And we also need Quinlin and the others to arrive so we can save some for them. Only then can we truly enjoy ourselves.”

The three men and one woman spoke in a Western language, a jumble of words that no one around them understood, so they talked without any restraint.

Zuo Zhicheng occasionally glanced at them. Not only were the four of them strong, but the light at the back of their heads was yellow mixed with a faint red, indicating they held hostility. However, as he observed them casually, he noticed that apart from the golden-haired woman, the other three men didn’t seem to pay much attention to him.

“Do they have a grudge against me?” He looked around and suddenly understood. “Is it because of race? Do these Westerners hold hostility toward all people of Great Qi?”

In fact, he only guessed part of it. As he pondered the origins of these Westerners, the golden-haired woman walked toward him. Her fiery figure, revealing clothing, and the bouncing of her chest with every step attracted the gazes of the men around.

But when they saw the attractive golden-haired woman approaching Zuo Zhicheng, their eyes burned with envy and hatred.

Zuo Zhicheng himself, however, felt nothing. He calmly watched the blonde approach him, playing with her hair as she said, “Hello, my name is Marie. May I ask what your name is, sir?”

The golden-haired woman spoke standard Great Qi language. Though a bit stiff, it was completely understandable. Seeing her act so familiar, Zuo Zhicheng thought to himself, “So, I really am the target?”

“Or did my earlier observation alert them?”

These thoughts flashed through his mind, and Zuo Zhicheng decided to play along, hoping to gather some information from the woman in front of him.

“My name is Zuo Zhicheng. May I ask the name of this beautiful lady?”

“You truly are a gentleman.” Marie’s delicate hand casually rested on him as she spoke. A seductive blush spread across her face, as if she had just finished making love. In a soft, moist tone, she said to Zuo Zhicheng, “You can call me Marie. Could you show me around this ship or tell me about our journey?”

Seeing the blonde’s enchanting face, the men around felt their heartbeats skip a beat. The women silently cursed her as a witch and quickly dragged their husbands, brothers, fathers, or other male relatives away.

Zuo Zhicheng nodded and said, “It would be my honor, but I don’t know much about this ship either.”

Marie bit her lip and smiled seductively. “Maybe we can explore this big ship together. It would be best to find a quiet place.” As she laughed, the two pale mounds on her chest bounced, making Zuo Zhicheng a bit dizzy.

Such simple seduction or a honey trap would not easily fool Zuo Zhicheng.

He sneered inwardly but said cheerfully, “Then let’s go, Marie.”

Seeing the two walk side by side toward the cabin, the men around sighed in disappointment. In a shaded area on the deck, a young boy dressed as a servant watched their retreating figures with a pale, grim expression.

In the time that followed, Zuo Zhicheng appeared to get along very well with Marie. Within a few hours, they were already arm in arm, hugging and touching, pretending to be completely captivated by her.

The golden-haired woman, Marie, seemed to enjoy it as well, sometimes rubbing her chest against Zuo Zhicheng’s arm, drawing on his palm, or blowing gently into his ear, as if she took pleasure in toying with him.

However, despite this, Zuo Zhicheng’s repeated attempts to probe for information yielded little. He only learned that she came from a country called Sa Xun on the Western Continent and had fled here with her brothers.

The two wandered around the ship, ignoring the jealous or disapproving looks from other men and women on board. By dinnertime, Zuo Zhicheng accepted Marie’s invitation to eat in their cabin.

When he entered the cabin, he found the three golden-haired men already eating. But as Zuo Zhicheng glanced at the table, he noticed their food was unusual—extremely light, consisting mostly of water, fruits, and vegetables.

Seeing Zuo Zhicheng arrive, the three men looked surprised. The tall, thin leader with a ponytail, Peter, wiped his mouth and said, “Marie, we agreed not to let anyone disturb us before dinner, didn’t we?”

‘Before dinner?’ Zuo Zhicheng frowned slightly, looking at the partially eaten fruits and vegetables on the table.

“Oh, Peter, you don’t understand,” Marie said, stroking Zuo Zhicheng’s cheek. “He’s so adorable…”

Marie’s mouth was only inches from Zuo Zhicheng’s, her warm breath tickling him.

“So strong…” Marie turned back to Peter and said, “Maybe we can let him join…”
