Chapter 3: Reward Distribution
Chapter 3: Reward Distribution
Seeing Liu Yumeng kneeling before him, a smile spread across Bai Ze’s lips.
Years of humiliation finally found release in this moment.
He’d imagined countless scenarios of tormenting Liu Yumeng, but none compared to the satisfaction of seeing her kneel before him now.
“You want food? Fine. Do exactly as I say. If you behave, I won’t be stingy.”
“Fine!” Liu Yumeng replied, struggling to hold back her fury.
Bai Ze knew she resented him, but he wasn’t worried.
“Turn left three times, then right three times,” Bai Ze commanded.
Confused, Liu Yumeng obeyed his instructions.
She finished quickly.
Bai Ze pulled a packet of Wangzai Milk Dots from his coat, opened it, and took out one tiny piece.
Liu Yumeng’s hungry eyes locked onto the food in his hand.
A moment later, Bai Ze tossed it upward. The milk dot sailed in an arc toward her.
Liu Yumeng raised her hands to catch it, but Bai Ze snapped, “No hands! Use only your mouth.”
Startled, she lowered her hands, tilted her face up, and opened her mouth.
Her aim was slightly off. The milk dot grazed her lip and bounced softly onto the floor.
She instinctively moved to pick it up.
“I said no hands.”
Only then did Liu Yumeng understand his meaning.
She glared at him angrily. “What do you want?”
Bai Ze chuckled mockingly. “Pick it up if you wish. But trust me, you won’t get another crumb from me.”
Her expression shifted several times. Finally, she knelt again. Planting both hands on the floor, she lowered her upper body until her chest was nearly touching the ground. When her lips reached the fallen milk dot, she used her mouth to pick it up.
She couldn’t bear to swallow it immediately. The sweetness flooded her mouth as her saliva soaked and swelled the tiny morsel. Only after its taste disappeared completely did she reluctantly gulp it down.
“I did what you asked,” she pleaded, eyes fixed on Bai Ze’s snack packet, gulping repeatedly. “Can I have more?”
Bai Ze took out another piece and tossed it.
Liu Yumeng scrambled to catch it. This time, she succeeded cleanly. “Good job. Come here,” Bai Ze said.
She approached him, confusion on her face.
Bai Ze reached out and gently stroked her slightly greasy hair.
Liu Yumeng’s cheeks flushed instantly. A strong sense of shame washed over her.
But she dared not protest. She realized obedience meant food.
“More, please? I’m so hungry,” Liu Yumeng begged, her large, watery eyes radiating charm.
“Call me ‘Master’ first. Say it.”
Liu Yumeng’s eyes widened in disbelief. He wanted her to say something so degrading! “Impossible!”
“Oh? Then you don’t want food?” Bai Ze held the packet’s opening near his mouth and tipped it back. A piece rolled toward it, about to fall inside.
Panic seized Liu Yumeng. Her empty stomach growled fiercely.
Seeming to resolve herself, she parted her lips slightly and whispered in a tiny voice, “Mas…ter…”
“Good girl. Eat this.” Bai Ze directly handed her the snack.
Liu Yumeng snatched it, tears of joy streaming down her face.
Suddenly, this seemed acceptable. It was embarrassing, sure, but it beat hunger.
These past days had taught her nothing was worse than starvation.
She even felt a strange attraction to this feeling of being trained.
Bai Ze simply smirked coldly and ignored her.
He went to the door and pushed. It didn’t budge.
Frowning, he glanced out. Zombie corpses blocked it.
Luckily, another door existed, leading to the Library corridor, which connected to the Cafeteria.
Time to replenish food supplies.
He opened that door instead.
“Where are you going?” Liu Yumeng asked anxiously.
“No food left. Have to find some.”
“Are you coming back?” Worry clouded her eyes.
The corner of Bai Ze’s mouth lifted. “Who knows? If I find a way out, maybe not.”
“I’ll go with you!” Liu Yumeng blurted out urgently, rushing to his side.
Now Bai Ze took his time. “Want my protection, is that it?”
She nodded.
“Why should I protect you? What can you do for me?”
“I…” She seemed to hesitate, struggling internally. Eventually, shamefaced, she said, “I’ll obey you. Whatever you ask.”
“Whatever I ask?” Bai Ze’s gaze drifted to the swell visible at her collarline.
Liu Yumeng noticed. She instantly crossed her arms over her chest.
But after a moment’s hesitation, her frown eased. Slowly, her hands lowered to her sides.
“I’ll do anything,” she whispered, “as long as you keep me safe.”
Then her hands rose again—this time to her shirt buttons.
As each button slid open, tears spilled freely from her eyes.
Throughout her four years at university, she’d had many boyfriends. Yet she’d preserved her final defense, remaining whole. She’d always planned to save her most precious self for marriage.
Now, that same precious part must go to her worst enemy.
Resentment burned within her.
But she had no choice. Survival demanded it.
Regret washed over her. If only she hadn’t treated Bai Ze so harshly before, maybe this price wouldn’t be necessary!
Lost in thought, Liu Yumeng let her clothes fall away completely.
Then she lay down on the sofa, waiting for him to have his way.
Bai Ze didn’t hesitate. He unleashed all his pent-up bitterness of the past years.
…

Suddenly, light flashed.
The image of a building appeared within Bai Ze’s mind.
He studied the vision intently, and a flicker of triumph lit his face.
