Chapter 174: Overstepping Boundaries

At that moment, four students—two boys and two girls—ran out from a certain part of Mountain Peak Village. Their clothes and hair were messy, and they wore strange smiles with red faces. This saved Lin Yin and Gong Jian the trouble of looking for them.

Of course, the four could not avoid a harsh scolding from the two Counselors. They were ordered to write a self-criticism and copy the field trip rules three times after returning to the hotel. Only then were they allowed to rejoin the group.

On the way back, looking at the overcast and dark sky, Lü Yang felt worse and worse. This trip to Mountain Peak Village for Yi Ya and Lin Yin should have been as safe as all the previous field trips for the Central Arts Institute student groups. But now, because of his arrival, he felt that something unexpected was bound to happen.

But Lü Yang didn’t care what they did. As long as Yi Ya didn’t go, they could do whatever they wanted. If they got scolded or ran into trouble, it served them right.

After dinner, the two Counselors announced the evening rules again. They told all students not to leave the area near Mountain Peak Hotel, and assigned team leaders to keep checking on their members regularly.

There weren’t many places for the students to hang out in the evening—just a ping-pong room, a billiards room, and an arcade room. The ping-pong tables, billiard tables, and arcade machines were all brought up when the scenic area was first built, and were now very old. But the charges were ridiculously high. The students had no mobile phone signal, couldn’t make calls, and couldn’t access the internet. After dinner, they were quite bored and had no choice but to kill time in these places.

Of course, some students stayed in their rooms playing cards. Yi Ya was very focused on her studies. She didn’t go out to play or join the card games. Instead, she stayed in the room to review her lessons. Lü Yang had heard from Lin Yin before that Yi Ya had the best grades in the class.

Yi Ya had a good impression of Gong Jian. After Gong Jian and the other boy left, Yi Ya teased “Lin Yin” a few times. Lü Yang didn’t respond to that. He was only temporarily inside Lin Yin’s body. Matters of Lin Yin’s feelings were for her to handle when she returned. He absolutely wouldn’t overstep and make any decisions for her.

“Lin Yin? I knew you were hiding here!” At half past nine, Gong Xue pushed open the door to Yi Ya’s room and walked in.

“Director Gong, what is it?” Lü Yang asked Gong Xue.

“I’m very tired today and want to rest early. Come shower with me downstairs. After we finish, we can go back to our room to sleep. We have a lot to do tomorrow!” Gong Xue said to Lin Yin.

“Well…” Lü Yang glanced at Yi Ya.

“You two go ahead and shower first. It’s probably crowded right now. I’ll go later with Yulan.” Yi Ya didn’t look up as she spoke to Lü Yang.

“Let’s go.” Gong Xue walked over, took hold of “Lin Yin’s” arm, and pulled “her” out of the room.

Lü Yang went back to the room to get Lin Yin’s change of clothes and toiletries, then went downstairs with Gong Xue. On the way down, Gong Xue intentionally chatted with Lin Yin about Gong Jian, saying many good things about him. Lü Yang was smart enough to understand what Gong Xue meant. He also realized why Gong Xue was especially close to Lin Yin, and even slept in the same room with her at night.

Lü Yang carried a bag with clothes and a towel, following Gong Xue as they pushed aside the cloth curtain and entered the shower room. As they walked in, several girls were inside changing. One of the naked girls had her change of clothes in a locker on the bottom row. As Lü Yang walked by, she was bent over, pulling open the locker to find her clothes inside.
