Chapter 527: I Have No Interest in the Kujo Tail Fox
Chapter 527: I Have No Interest in the Kujo Tail Fox
Kanzaki Rin’s departure was fake. The moment Fang Cheng jumped up, she spun around and punched him in the face.
Fang Cheng fell onto his back. Kanzaki Rin straddled him without caring about her short skirt revealing anything, raining down wild punches.
“Calling me while messing around with other women gets you excited, huh? I’ll let you call! I’ll let you call!”
The anger in her heart burned like a volcano about to erupt.
During his intimate moments with Asaka Akihime on the spaceship, Fang Cheng had called Kanzaki Rin multiple times, shamelessly planting a green hat on her head.
Making your own cheap movie? She’d never been humiliated like this.
Every punch she threw held lethal force, determined to beat this green hat dealer to death.
Fang Cheng knew he’d crossed the line—thrills were temporary, but consequences lasted.
He didn’t resist, taking the beating meekly. He even pulled out a knife: “Still angry? Then stab me.”
“Think I won’t?!”
His casual attitude infuriated her. She grabbed the knife and plunged it at his chest.
*Clang!* The blade shattered against his steel-like body.
Fang Cheng blinked innocently: “My bad. My body’s kinda hard right now.”
Kanzaki Rin threw the broken blade aside and grabbed at his shadow: “Hand over the Child-Cutting Ankan.”
“C’mon, really?!”
His steel-like body was only Level 1. That divine weapon could actually pierce him.
“Give. It. Now.”
Her rage hadn’t cooled. She kept pushing.
“Fine, fine!”
Fang Cheng pinned her down: “But let’s use your favorite vajra instead.”
“Screw you!”
They wrestled across the office floor, tearing each other’s clothes off accidentally.
Fists and kicks soon gave way to lips and tongues, shifting to a different method of venting heat.
“W-wait…”
Kanzaki Rin pushed against Fang Cheng’s chest, panting: “My whole body’s toxic now. Still want this?”
“Makes it hotter.”
Fang Cheng answered by diving into her neck, drunk on her sweet breath.
……
Sato Mai quickly spread news of Fang Cheng’s return.
Takeda Masumi rushed back from the barracks. Nangong Saye ditched her police shift.
Even Kamikawa Takumi and Sato Hayako abandoned work, bringing their girlfriends straight to the apartment.
Unfortunately, Fang Cheng wasn’t at the apartment.
The group gathered around Ye Yuqing’s new body while she worked on building relationships, plotting to steal the mistress’s vice leader position.
The nine-tailed fox returned to the apartment. Upon hearing Fang Cheng had gone to find Kanzaki Rin, she remembered Rin’s sudden request for her to leave earlier.
A knowing smirk spread across her face as she slipped away quietly.
In the living room, Asaka Akihime fielded questions about their North America trip details.
Her phone buzzed suddenly – Kanzaki Rin’s name flashed on the screen.
“Rin?” she answered. “Did Cheng-kun reach you?”
“He’s here.”
Rin’s voice sounded odd, nasal and slightly breathless.
Asaka’s pulse quickened. “What are you doing right now?”
“What does it look like?”
Kanzaki Rin chuckled. “I’m… jogging.”
Asaka shot up from the sofa. She wasn’t stupid – that panting tone spoke volumes.
“You two—”
She bit back her words under the group’s curious gazes.
“We won’t be back for dinner,” Kanzaki Rin added before hanging up.
Asaka stared at her phone. She’d returned home triumphant, only to have her rival steal her man before she’d even settled in.
Takeda Masumi noticed her expression. “What happened?”
“Nothing,” Asaka forced out. “Cheng-kun and Rin-chan are… busy tonight.”
The injustice burned – covering for her cheating man and smug rival made her want to scream.
Her glare shifted to Ye Yuqing, who was entertaining two girls with wild stories.
If this idiot actually tried being useful, Cheng-kun wouldn’t have time for affairs.
The rage simmered…
*
Sunset hues colored the sky as tides began rising.
Two exhausting hours later, Fang Cheng finally quelled Kanzaki Rin’s anger.
The price? Several billion casualties.
Lying together post-storm, they discussed recent events. The Killing Stone’s awakening in Rin’s body had begun leaking toxic energy that endangered others.
However, with the nine-tailed fox’s assistance, the poison remained suppressed within Kanzaki Rin’s body. Contact with her bodily fluids posed no risk as long as it was avoided.
To fully neutralize the Killing Stone, locating Tamamo-no-Mae’s remaining doppelgangers became essential.
Yet with Mechanical City’s ongoing development demanding her attention, Kanzaki Rin lacked the energy to pursue this matter. Kamikawa Takumi stayed behind as the martial power safeguard, leaving him no time to hunt for Tamamo-no-Mae either.
“You’ve worked hard,” Fang Cheng murmured, fingers brushing through Kanzaki Rin’s long hair. “When time allows, I’ll take the nine-tailed fox to investigate.”
Kanzaki Rin’s eyes narrowed. “Do you fancy that fox?”
Fang Cheng raised his left hand solemnly. “Not at all. I have zero interest in any Kujo Tail creature.”
After placating her, he recounted every detail of their North American journey. She examined his left hand but found nothing unusual.
“Any special abilities?”
“Still unknown. So far it only shows soul-healing properties.”
Kanzaki Rin released his hand. “If Dracula or the Apocalypse Knights target you, we must prepare thoroughly this time. No more last-minute scrambling like when Isis attacked.”
Fang Cheng pulled her closer, lips grazing her cheek. “Focus on protecting yourselves. My strength renders most conspiracies meaningless now.”
His true vulnerability lay with his companions – their safety guaranteed his invincibility.
“Designate the recovered spaceship as our covert base,” Kanzaki Rin proposed. “Let Dr. X rebuild his research institute aboard to mass-produce Divine Medicine. Properly managed, these assets could skyrocket Mechanical City’s power.”
Divine Medicine injections granted at least Hazard Level A abilities. Solving production and supply issues would enable creating a superpower army.
“Your call,” Fang Cheng shrugged. He’d always entrusted Mechanical City’s governance to her.
Kanzaki Rin pinched his arm. “Burying me in work so you can chase other women?”
Reading her mock anger, Fang Cheng tumbled playfully with her. “Keep me exhausted and I won’t stray.”
“You’d dare… mmph!”
Mid-embrace, Fang Cheng vanished from the office. He reappeared clutching a squirming nine-tailed fox.
Kanzaki Rin adjusted her disheveled clothes without embarrassment – the fox often joined her showers.
“Weren’t you leaving?”
The fox’s tails twitched. “I… worried about you!”
“What’s there to worry about?”
Fang Cheng gripped the nine-tailed fox by her scruff, sneering, “Eavesdropping on me? You really have no idea what ‘death’ means, do you?”
The fox stopped struggling and shifted to human form, clinging to his arm. “It was an accident! I just came at a bad time.”
Her charm worked like a trap, irresistible to anyone.
But Fang Cheng’s immunity had grown stronger. He pulled her close by the waist, grinning. “Perfect timing. Let’s play together.”
The nine-tailed fox froze.
His serious face and roaming hands made her panic. She’d only meant to tease, never expecting him to act. “W-what? I don’t get it,” she stammered.
Fang Cheng tightened his grip. “Weren’t you always trying to seduce me? Let’s do it.”
“I was joking!”
“Too late. I believed you.”
The sixteen-year-old little fox had never faced such boldness. With a yelp, she shrank back to fox form. “Not playing! Going home!” She bolted through the window.
Watching her flee, Fang Cheng chuckled.
Kanzaki Rin materialized behind him, fingers digging into his side. “Like that fox, huh?”
“N-no!”
He raised his hands. “Zero interest in Kujo Tail’s foxes.”
She shoved him down. “Better drain your energy so you stop chasing other women.”
…
Kanzaki Rin kept her word, dragging him through all-nighters enjoying night scenery till dawn.
Physically fine but mentally drained, he returned home to face Asaka Akihime’s wife-like gaze – the look of a woman whose husband stayed out all night.
Others being present kept her silent, but Ye Yuqing shouted, “Where’d you wander last night?”
Fang Cheng ignored her, embracing Kamikawa Takumi warmly.
A stunning beauty approached next, arms outstretched.
“Leader! Welcome ba– Oof!”
