Chapter 214: I Want a Dominant CEO Boyfriend
Chapter 214: I Want a Dominant CEO Boyfriend
Asaka Akihime instantly grasped Fang Cheng’s three demands.
This was the perk of reading so much.
After a moment’s thought, she realized she fit two of the requirements—only lacking the “wild” part.
What did that mean? Was Cheng-kun hinting she should take the initiative?
The thought sent heat rushing to her face, turning it bright red. The alcohol’s residue fogged her head, muddling clear thinking.
This tipsy state boosted her courage beyond usual limits.
Sensing the atmosphere had peaked, she shakily reached out to hug him.
“Cheng-kun…”
Fang Cheng froze as Asaka Akihime’s soft body pressed against him—nothing like Takeda Masumi’s sturdy frame.
He wrestled internally. He wasn’t against bedding Asaka Akihime, but Takeda Masumi lurked beneath the bed.
Pounding the mattress right above her head seemed…reckless.
As he debated chasing the thrill, salvation came—a knock at the door.
Sato Mai’s voice chirped:
“Cheng-brother! Asleep?”
Seriously? Round two?
“I’m asleep!” he snapped.
She giggled. “Liar! Sleepers don’t talk.”
Clearly she wouldn’t leave. Asaka Akihime’s courage evaporated.
She scrambled over Fang Cheng, grabbed her pillow, and slid off the bed’s far side.
Before he could speak, she dove under the bed.
“…”
He could only hope they wouldn’t brawl beneath him.
The door creaked open before he could react.
Sato Mai stood there in a pink nightgown, clutching a teddy bear instead of a pillow.
A sly smile curled her lips as she shut the door. “Heh heh…”
Originally, she’d sought Asaka Akihime for a sleepover.
But after checking every place except Fang Cheng’s room…
A bold idea struck—Asaka Akihime was launching a sneak attack!
Normally, Sato Mai might’ve grumbled and retreated.
But tonight’s drinks burned away caution.
She wasn’t here to join them—she came to catch them red-handed.
Frustrated with her own inability to complete her mission, she decided to interrupt her competitors’ progress.
“Cheng-brother, is there only you in the room?”
“Obviously. Aren’t you a person?”
“Hehe!”
Sato Mai approached and yanked the blanket aside, revealing only Fang Cheng in the bed.
He’d just used a cleaning spell to erase the lingering scent of Asaka Akihime and now lay sideways, propping his head on one hand.
Sato Mai circled the bed suspiciously, even trying to peek underneath, but Fang Cheng grabbed her collar and hauled her back.
“Why are you here in the middle of the night? Go back to bed.”
She flopped onto the mattress and burrowed into the blankets. “Cheng-brother, I can’t sleep!”
She sniffed discreetly—no trace of other women.
*Weird. Was I wrong?*
Guilt about suspecting Akihime briefly crossed her mind before giving way to giddy excitement, her cheeks flushing.
*Idiots, all of them! Letting this chance slip… hehe, my gain now!*
Fang Cheng snorted. “And how does coming here help?”
He flexed his fist. “Need some physics-based sleep therapy?”
Instead of retreating, Sato Mai clung to his arm. “I just want to talk!”
Their long acquaintance had eroded her act of innocence, revealing her clingy, mildly scheming nature.
Fang Cheng remained impassive.
He’d initially found the girl appealing—she fit his preferences, and their ages were close. But things had changed. As Sato Hayato’s sister, she now felt like family.
*Getting involved would be wrong. How would I face Hayato?*
Trapped by her antics, Fang Cheng resigned himself to half-hearted conversation.
Under the bed, Asaka Akihime and Takeda Masumi stared awkwardly at each other.
*Of all places to meet…*
“Wrong door,” Takeda blurted. “Was looking for the bathroom.”
Akihime nodded with strained politeness.
*She thinks you’re an idiot!* Ye Yuqing cackled in their shared mind. *Wrong door to under the bed? Why not claim she’s checking for bedwetters? That flat-chested rookie dares challenge you? Clueless about cup sizes!*
Above them, Fang Cheng struggled to stay awake through Sato Mai’s chatter about Gen-Z trends.
*Could easily humor her… but why bother?*
Noticing his boredom, Sato Mai brightened. “Let’s play a game! Pretend to be my boyfriend?”
Beneath the bed, two women tensed.
*That sly fox!* Ye Yuqing raged. *Brat needs homework, not boyfriends!*
Fang Cheng shrugged. “What kind?”
“Japanese-style!”
He adopted a thick accent: “You! Flower-woman! Sleep now, understand?”
Sato Mai: (=′ー`)
“O-or a CEO! Like in dramas!”
*Too many K-dramas.* Fang Cheng straightened sternly. “Sleep first. Discuss at meeting.”
“Not that kind!”
“Which department? Deducting attendance bonus.”
When she gaped, he jabbed a finger doorward. “Africa expansion needs you. Flight’s booked.”
Sato Mai: (°ー°〃)
*Cheng-brother, how are you this dense? What do they even see in—*
Knocking interrupted her thoughts.
