Chapter 52: The Super Mutant Slime King!

Second, while the game lagged, other applications on the holographic virtual network were unaffected. Third, under similar circumstances, programs on traditional networks would have a high chance of crashing. However, in the holographic virtual network environment, the AI Glimmer, which manages the game, only needed a little over a second to fix the problem. Glimmer is also capable of learning and doesn’t require human adjustments. The same issue will not happen again.”

Canglan Technology had a strong reputation. Once the three statements were made, the voices of doubt quickly died down.

Chen Mo returned to Earl Town and logged off to lay low while checking the reactions online.

After multiple interactions and comparisons, Chen Mo felt that the behavior of these NPCs still had many awkward aspects.

This was because Glimmer wasn’t yet proficient. Glimmer was still immature, and since it had the ability to learn, it would definitely keep improving these emotion programs in the game.

Once these emotion programs were perfected and matured, Glimmer would very likely form a huge program that was almost self-aware.

What Chen Mo wanted to do was to influence Glimmer’s emotions and personality through certain specific NPCs in the game. If he could make Glimmer have two completely opposite emotions and personalities about the same thing, Glimmer would definitely have real big problems when dealing with issues!

If someone knew what Chen Mo was thinking, they would think he was crazy. Doing this was a complete waste of time, and the chance of success was almost zero!

Chen Mo also knew that his idea was ridiculous. But strangely, he had a feeling that he would succeed.

The Mutant Slime King was overpowered. Most of the Mutant Slime Kings in the Starter Villages were still unbeatable. But in one Starter Village, a Mutant Slime King was surrounded by a large group of expert players, and its Health Points dropped rapidly.

When its Health Points dropped to half, the Mutant Slime King instantly split into two. Then, using two ultimate skills, it wiped out the dozens of expert players attacking it, as well as all the onlookers around.

“Wow, two Mutant Slime Kings teaming up is insane! And this super mutant boss is in the Starter Village…”

Chen Mo quickly left the Forum and returned to the game.

That’s right, this Super Mutant Slime King was in his very own Starter Village!

This Starter Village had the most experts. After failing to defeat the Flame Three-Headed Wolf, a large group of expert players who hadn’t left yet heard about the Mutant Slime King and formed teams to try and kill it. If the Mutant Slime King hadn’t mutated again, it would have been defeated by them.

Chen Mo guessed that the change in this Starter Village’s Mutant Slime King was related to the game lag incident or the Flame Three-Headed Wolf. It might have been caused by him!

After switching to a set of top-tier equipment at the warehouse, Chen Mo took out the Capture Skill Book and a Skill Mutation Scroll.

After killing so many Mutant Slime Kings, Chen Mo had long wanted to try capturing one as a minion.

With the normal Capture Skill, he figured it was impossible. But he was different—he had a Skill Mutation Scroll!

It really was a mutated skill! It could actually capture bosses!

In the game, some Level 15 Hunters had already learned the Capture Skill. The normal Capture Skill only unlocked 2 pet slots at the start. At Novice Level, it could only capture monsters 2 levels lower than the player. If the capture failed 3 times, the monster would gain immunity.

Compared to that, the mutated Capture Skill was way stronger!
