Chen Mo originally had nearly 20 meters of vision. Because of the sea fog, his vision range narrowed slightly. However, Sesshylow’s vision reached 50 meters. Working together, their combined vision could cover almost 70 meters. If any Sea Clan Players were nearby, they absolutely couldn’t escape.
“Hehe, found one!”
Using Sesshylow’s vision advantage, Chen Mo started moving to search for Sea Clan Players.
Soon, a red silhouette appeared within Sesshylow’s sight.
“You two stay back here. Wait for my order,” Chen Mo instructed Xue Ye Hua and Qing Tian not to move around recklessly. He then used his Camouflage Skill to move closer to that Sea Clan Player.
That Sea Clan Player had decent vision. He had seen numerous Human Race Players from Eastern Sea City pass by, but most were in teams, so he didn’t dare act rashly.
Just as he was looking for a solo Player, this Sea Clan Player suddenly felt his body jolt violently.
He was under attack!
Shocked, the Sea Clan Player realized he had encountered a Player skilled in Stealth or Camouflage. Swiftly, he darted forward to escape, trying to create distance.
However, he hadn’t run far when three figures closed in on him from the front. One of them moved with surprisingly terrifying speed!
Several Damage numbers floated above the Sea Clan Player’s head. He felt extremely unlucky, having stumbled upon Hunters using Camouflage who spotted him first.
“Another 50 Points!” Xue Ye Hua said excitedly. On the Forum, many Players complained Points were hard to earn, yet she had already gained 100 Points shortly after returning to the Game.
She knew well it was because she followed this guy. Without him, her Points would likely be around 30 at most.
Next, relying on Sesshylow’s vision, Chen Mo and his two companions successively killed five lone Sea Clan Players.
These Sea Clan Players dared to come near Eastern Sea City alone for Faction Quests. They each had some powerful tricks and, boosted by the sea fog’s Attributes, could usually kill their targets swiftly. Unfortunately, encountering Chen Mo’s group, their tricks proved useless, and they were killed one after another.
“Bad luck. Didn’t earn Points and even lost a chunk of Faction Reputation.”
“You too? I thought it was just me being unlucky.”
“Haha, seeing so many others unlucky makes me feel a bit better.”
Deep within the Weapon Island waters, at a Sea Clan city on a large island, several Players resurrected at the Resurrection Point and voiced their frustrations.
To their surprise, many others echoed the same misery. Comparing notes, they couldn’t help but commiserate.
“Damn, the guy who killed me was terrifying! A Hunter with a crazy Pet! Knocked me out in two or three hits!”
“You too? Did he have a slightly transparent Pet, like a water elemental?”
“That’s her! You got killed by the same person?”
Only when discussing their killers did these Players realize they had all been eliminated by the same person.
“God, is everyone here in the same boat?!”
Everyone was horrified. Being killed by that guy showed how strong he was, but they hadn’t expected him to be this strong!
“Wow! The Quest Hall just refreshed with a new Quest! Accept it to assassinate that Hunter! Rewards 1000 Points if you kill him!”
Before long, someone suddenly shouted loudly.
“What? A Quest targeting a single Player? How many of us did that guy manage to kill?”
“Over twenty! Accept the Quest, and you get one free teleport back there!”
“Let’s go! Everyone together! Time to take revenge on that bastard!”
The group of killed Sea Clan Players instantly grew excited.
Their first teleport was free. After being killed and resurrected, teleporting back required a costly price. Accepting this Quest meant a free teleport back – they absolutely had to go.
Killing that Hunter meant revenge AND earning back a thousand Points!

Outside Eastern Sea City, Xue Ye Hua and Qing Tian shouted in exhilaration.
In less than an hour, Chen Mo had led them to kill twenty Sea Clan Players. Each kill earned them 50 Points. Both women now had one thousand Points and could return to Level up to 20.
Originally, they planned to return and exchange Points once they had 800. But minutes ago, Chen Mo encountered a six-member Sea Clan squad.
That Sea Clan squad had likely ambushed and killed many Eastern Sea City Players; they seemed strong. If they had ambushed Chen Mo’s trio, it could have been disastrous.
However, choosing to attack at night had been their mistake. Within Sesshylow’s immense vision range, Chen Mo spotted them first.
Facing six powerful Players with Xue Ye Hua and Qing Tian only Level 19 and his own Health Points not particularly high, a direct confrontation posed significant risk.
So, Chen Mo had Sesshylow use Mimicry to approach the six silently. Then, she unleashed her Hurricane Skill suddenly. While the Hurricane Skill raged, he and Xue Ye Hua charged forward, fiercely attacking the two or three Sea Clan Players with higher Health Points. By the time the Hurricane Skill ended, all six Sea Clan Players were dead.
Killing six Sea Clan Players at once pushed Xue Ye Hua and Qing Tian’s Points to 1000. Chen Mo’s own Points soared to 2400.
This was achieved in under an hour. Even dragging along two who weren’t major helpers, earning such a high Points total was unbelievable even to Chen Mo just an hour earlier.
“Amazing, amazing!” Chen Mo praised Sesshylow. This was all her doing. Without her powerful vision range, his trio would have been lucky to earn half their current Points.
“We should go back and level up,” Xue Ye Hua urged, unable to contain her eagerness as they had enough Points.
“Let’s go together. I need to upgrade some skills too.”
Adding his previously leftover Points, Chen Mo had just over 3,000 Points. That could upgrade three Novice Level skills to Primary Level.
The three returned to the City Lord’s Mansion. Xue Ye Hua and Qing Tian exchanged their Experience Points, instantly Leveling up to 20.
Chen Mo exchanged his Points for Skill proficiency. He had many skills needing upgrading, almost too many to count. However, without overthinking, he first spent 2,000 Points to instantly upgrade his Vortex Trap skill straight to Intermediate Level.
The Vortex Trap skill was actually unusable for Chen Mo right then. He couldn’t find Dark Magnetic Stone Powder, its primary crafting material, in the System General Store. Without the powder, the trap couldn’t be laid.
Since crafting materials were hard to find, upgrading the skill would definitely be tough later. Even if unusable now, Chen Mo prioritized upgrading his Vortex Trap skill immediately. He feared complications during the city defense event might later prevent him from earning enough Points, which would be disastrous.

Pouring in 2,000 Points instantly pushed Vortex Trap to Intermediate Level.
Vortex Trap (Intermediate Level): Use Dark Magnetic Stone Powder as the main material to place a trap with a 1-meter radius. When triggered, the trap deals 250% direct trap Damage to enemies within a 4-meter radius. Upon triggering, the Dark Magnetic Stone Powder activates, forming a magnetic vortex. This vortex exerts a powerful attraction, pulling enemies within a 10-meter radius towards its center. The magnetic vortex lasts for 4 seconds. Enemies within the central 4-meter radius of the vortex suffer 120% attack Damage per second. Skill cooldown time: 5 minutes. Skill range and duration increase with each Level upgrade.
Intermediate Vortex Trap showed clear improvements in range, Damage, and duration. This skill was definitely worth the investment.
With around one thousand Points left, Chen Mo spent almost all of them to upgrade his Shockwave Trap to Intermediate Level.
Shockwave Trap dealt low Damage but was incredibly useful. It remained effective even at higher Levels.
The Intermediate Shockwave Trap, when triggered, released a shockwave capable of throwing all Players and enemies within its effect range 3 meters away.
“Xue Ye Hua, do you know any merchants in Eastern Sea City? I need to get some Dark Magnetic Stone Powder.”
Not being able to use the Intermediate Vortex Trap felt like such a waste. Other supplementary materials were available in general stores, only Dark Magnetic Stone Powder was missing. If he could craft the trap, dealing with Sea Clan Players—even entire squads—would be possible. He likely wouldn’t even need to rely on Sesshylow’s Hurricane Skill; the Vortex Trap could nearly wipe them out instantly!
Chen Mo didn’t have time to hunt for Dark Magnetic Stone Powder himself. He recalled Xue Ye Hua had spent more time in Eastern Sea City and was once a guild leader.
“I know one, but not well. If he has stock, it probably won’t be cheap,” Xue Ye Hua replied.
Although she’d been active in Eastern Sea City before, not everyone had many items to sell like Chen Mo. Neither were all merchants as accommodating as Lian Hongyu.
“It’s fine. As long as he has some, and the price isn’t outrageous.”
Chen Mo wouldn’t mind paying a bit extra if he could get the Dark Magnetic Stone Powder. Getting this powder meant being able to craft his Vortex Trap. Once operational, Points would come pouring in.
Compared to Points that could be exchanged for substantial rewards, a little bit of money meant nothing!
“Okay, I’ll contact him.” Xue Ye Hua lowered her head to message someone. Soon, she looked up. “He does have Dark Magnetic Stone Powder. Ten Silver Coins per portion. Feels a bit pricey to me. This stuff isn’t high-tech; it’s just a mining byproduct, just in short supply currently.”
“Ten Silver Coins? That’s fine. Tell him to prepare a hundred portions for me!” For Chen Mo—who once spent nearly one Gold Coin on a vial of Monster Blood—ten Silver Coins per portion didn’t feel expensive, especially during such critical times.
“Got it. Go to the Trading Area and look for a Fat Merchant called Scarecrow. Qing Tian and I are off to earn Points,” Xue Ye Hua gave Chen Mo the merchant’s name, then grabbed Qing Tian’s hand and dashed off.
Equipped with the Windshadow Heavy Sword and its unbelievably high base Physical Attack Power, Xue Ye Hua’s offensive capabilities had become terrifyingly strong. She couldn’t wait to go outside and test her newfound power.
Before reaching Level 20, she had stuck with Chen Mo for security. Now at Level 20, her damage output had skyrocketed; it felt too awkward to continue splitting Points with him.
