After ending the contract with Big Fatty, Chen Mo’s biggest worry was that Big Fatty might get killed as a boss while still at a low level.
This guy was indeed a real boss, and most players knew about him. Chen Mo couldn’t stay online all the time, his online hours were limited. When he wasn’t online, it wouldn’t be surprising if this guy got surrounded and killed as a boss.
There were quite a few players from Level 11 to 18 areas. Big Fatty was Level 10, so it was impossible to level up in a place without players. Chen Mo thought it over and finally came up with an idea.
He needed most players to know that Big Fatty was the pet of a Blacklisted Player and to learn how powerful Big Fatty was. That way, no one would be interested in killing Big Fatty.
It was just a pet; killing it would only let it respawn with no items dropped. At best, killing it would just feel satisfying for a moment. But considering Big Fatty’s attributes, actually killing it wouldn’t be easy. Putting in so much effort for nothing would naturally make no one willing to do it.
This method wouldn’t fool others for long, but it could definitely buy a few days. In just a few days, as long as Big Fatty’s level increased, with its powerful attributes and skills, escaping would certainly not be a problem.
Big Fatty killed monsters at a shockingly fast rate. Level 13 monsters were hardly a challenge for it.
This leveling area was big enough for over ten people to train in. Big Fatty was hogging it all alone, and the monster respawn rate was barely keeping up.
That meant Big Fatty was gaining experience more than ten times faster than other players!
It would take others a whole day to level up from Level 11 to 12, but Big Fatty only needed less than two hours to go from Level 11 to 12!
A little over two hours later, before Chen Mo went offline, Big Fatty leveled up again from Level 12 to 13!
At Level 13, the experience from killing Level 13 monsters was no longer significant. Chen Mo led Big Fatty to take over a Level 14 monster respawn spot.
Although they were no longer master and pet, and Big Fatty had reverted to being a boss, showing strong hostility to any player who got close, it still obediently followed Chen Mo.
“Little guy, if there’s any danger, you must run away.” Chen Mo patted Big Fatty as his online time was up.
The next day, when Chen Mo logged back in, he found Big Fatty still killing monsters for experience in the same spot.
After not seeing Big Fatty for just one night, Chen Mo noticed that Big Fatty had some extra wounds on its body, and its level had risen to 15.
Seeing Chen Mo, Big Fatty growled, jumped a few times to the base of a tree, and knocked against it. Then, a pile of equipment clattered to the ground.
Chen Mo was stunned.
Big Fatty could gain experience and level up from killing monsters, but killing ordinary monsters never dropped any items. The only way these items could appear was if they were dropped by players.
Thinking about the wounds on Big Fatty, Chen Mo realized that some players were still targeting it.
The game world was simply too vast, and there were too many players. Even if something became widely known, there would always be plenty of people who didn’t hear about it.
“This guy will be safe after one more level!”
Chen Mo collected the equipment and led Big Fatty to the next leveling spot.
Currently, the highest-level players in the game were only Level 19. Once Big Fatty reached Level 16, players would no longer have Level Suppression over it. Without that, Big Fatty’s attributes and skills feared no player. Plus, this guy had grown smarter; if it couldn’t win a fight, it could escape, even running to high-level monster respawn points where few players went.
Knowing that Big Fatty wasn’t as safe as he had imagined, Chen Mo decided to stay nearby, killing monsters leisurely while keeping an eye out. If any players showed up, he could help fend them off.
Before long, a female player came running over, panting.
It was Lian Hongyu. Chen Mo had contacted her the day before to discuss a business deal.
Lian Hongyu was busy with business, so she was only Level 13. It was impressive that she managed to run all the way to a Level 16 area.
“Famous one, haven’t seen you in days. Here are the potion recipes you wanted. Most of these are advanced recipes, so they aren’t cheap. Why are you spending so much money on them?” Lian Hongyu traded a stack of potion recipes to Chen Mo, which he had asked her to help collect.
She certainly wouldn’t refuse such a big deal, but she was curious why Chen Mo wanted so many advanced potion recipes. Currently, no one in the game could use those recipes, otherwise their prices would be even higher.
“It’s a secret. Check how much these pieces of equipment are worth. I’ll just sell them all to you.”
Although Lian Hongyu had good credibility, Chen Mo wasn’t close to her, so he didn’t feel the need to tell her about his Grandmaster Potion Making skill. If necessary, he could tell her later.
Then, Chen Mo took out a backpack full of equipment to sell to Lian Hongyu.
“So much equipment! Good thing my backpack is big enough!” Lian Hongyu was startled when she saw it.
There were over thirty pieces of equipment, all at least Blue Equipment, with half being Green Equipment!
All the equipment was between Level 13 and 16, which would sell very well. Lian Hongyu was thrilled. She had thought Chen Mo just wanted to buy some potion recipes, but after coming all this way, she was also getting a pile of equipment to take back.
Chen Mo didn’t say anything, but Lian Hongyu guessed that he had looted all these from other players. Still, getting so many good-attribute pieces was quite shocking.
After completing the trade with Chen Mo, Lian Hongyu happily left. Chen Mo then settled down to continue guarding Big Fatty.
Several players came by during that time, but upon seeing Chen Mo and Big Fatty, they wisely stayed away.
Chen Mo being a Blacklisted Player was one thing, but Big Fatty’s performance was especially eye-catching. After reaching Level 15, it seemed even stronger. It was unclear just how much its attributes increased each level.
Chen Mo was curious, but since Big Fatty was no longer his pet, he had no way of finding out.
Four hours later, a flash of light enveloped Big Fatty as it leveled up to 16.
“Little guy, take care. I have to go now.” Chen Mo walked over and said goodbye to Big Fatty.
He couldn’t stay by Big Fatty’s side any longer. After this, Big Fatty’s leveling speed would slow down. The Bevicent quest had been delayed too long; if he didn’t do it soon, something unexpected might happen.
Chen Mo turned to leave, but then he frowned as he spotted a group of players in the distance.
Stopping in his tracks, Chen Mo waited quietly. Soon, he realized that this group of players was indeed heading toward them.
“That pet, yes, it’s definitely this guy!”
“Didn’t expect it to still be here. I thought by the time we finished our quest and came back, it would have run off who knows where.”
As the group approached, one of them glanced at Big Fatty and nodded.
“Are you Silence?” A young man stepped forward, looking coldly at Chen Mo.
“Yes.” Chen Mo nodded.
“We’re from Dragon Soar Guild. The ‘Freeze Breath’ Skill Book you looted belongs to us. Hand it over, and we can talk. Otherwise, don’t blame us for being rude!” the man said coldly.
As Chen Mo was thinking about how to deal with these arrogant guys, he suddenly heard Big Fatty let out a furious roar.
Chen Mo looked up and was surprised to see Big Fatty’s body suddenly swell, becoming as huge as a small mountain. It then crushed down fiercely onto the Dragon Soar Guild members!
Boom! The ground shook violently. Several Dragon Soar Guild members couldn’t dodge in time and instantly lost over a thousand Health Points!
Like a wolf among sheep, Big Fatty began attacking wildly. The Dragon Soar Guild members were terrified.
Wasn’t this a Level 10 boss? How could it be so powerful?
Several of them couldn’t help but think this before they died.
About two minutes later, the fight ended, and the entire Dragon Soar Guild group was wiped out.
“So strong already!”
From beginning to end, Chen Mo only helped with some attacks; Big Fatty had killed everyone. Chen Mo couldn’t help but feel regretful. If Big Fatty could level up under his control, he would be nearly invincible. Dragon Soar Guild was a Level 2 guild, yet they couldn’t stand up to Big Fatty at all.

“You’re finally back. I thought you failed. I never expected you to actually get the ‘Freeze’ scroll from that old guy Andergreen.”
When Bevicent saw Chen Mo return with the ‘Freeze’ scroll, he immediately got excited.

“Master Bevicent, when are you going to deal with Sesshylow?” Chen Mo asked after putting away the rewards.
