Chapter 170: Embarrassing Bear Kids
Chapter 170: Embarrassing Bear Kids
Liu Heming himself thought this matter was quite ridiculous and wondered if he had misread the situation. But he still went outside and brought the two Bear Kids over, wanting them to meet first.
The Bear Kids followed Alex, strolling along as they came here. They were also very curious about the situation here, poking their heads out and looking around repeatedly.
When they reached the cage, the Bear Kids paid extra attention to the black bear inside. However, they were just joining in to see the excitement and then wanted to continue visiting the area ahead.
Just as they started to move forward, the black bear inside was not having it and let out a loud “Roar!”
This roar was no small matter. Not only did it startle Liu Heming and the others, but it also scared the two Bear Kids badly. How scared were they? They had already tucked their heads behind Alex, only leaving their bodies exposed. They were seeking protection from the little one.
“Dad, the big bear isn’t angry. Please don’t blame it, okay?” The little one no longer paid attention to the Bear Cubs and ran over to Liu Heming, tugging at his hand as she spoke.
“Why would Dad blame it? Hurry and call the Bear Kids over. They seem to recognize each other,” Liu Heming said, patting his daughter’s head.
The Bear Kids were still a bit scared. Seeing the little one run over to Liu Heming, they lost their “safe protection” and also ran over to the crowd. Now, as the little one tried to pull them, they played stubborn and relied on their heavy bodies to refuse to move.
“Be good, Bear Bear, come with Alex,” the little one coaxed patiently.
The two Bear Kids showed no signs of giving in. They stood their ground, not willing to go over and get bullied.
“Be good, and Dad will make lots of Chicken Legs for you,” the little one said, gesturing with her small hands.
The Bear Kids, who had been standing firm just moments before, were quickly won over by the temptation of food. Even though they were still a bit afraid of the big black bear, they followed the little one to the side of the cage.
“Alfred, there’s an entrance here, right? Open the door and let these two in,” Liu Heming said, turning to Alfred.
“Dexter, that might be very dangerous. Mother bears are also very aggressive and have their own territories,” Alfred said with concern.
“It’s fine. These Bear Kids are still young. The big bear probably doesn’t even see them as a threat. Trust me, it’ll be okay. Let them in,” Liu Heming said with a laugh.
The big bear’s earlier cry had convinced Liu Heming that even if this black bear wasn’t the mother of the Bear Cubs, it was likely a relative or something similar. Although the cry was loud, it didn’t contain any negative emotions—it was just a bit noisy.
Alfred was hesitant, but after thinking for a moment, he instructed the nearby staff to open the cage door.
Liu Heming’s family was quite extraordinary. Just the way they managed these little animals so obediently was something ordinary people couldn’t do. Even those with training would find it hard to achieve. Now that Liu Heming was so confident, Alfred began to doubt his own judgment.
However, the door was opened, and he also instructed the staff to prepare tranquilizer guns. He was worried that the big black bear might harm the two Bear Cubs, as they held a very high status in Liu Heming’s household.
The Bear Kids didn’t want to go in, but Liu Heming pushed them in forcefully.
Between the entrance and the cage holding the big black bear, there was another door. The big black bear had already come over to this side and was carefully examining the Bear Kids outside the door.
The Bear Kids were still a bit nervous, unsure if this big guy was going to pick on them. So when the door was lifted, before it was fully raised, the two of them slipped underneath and dashed to the other side of the cage.
Their speed was truly impressive. Alfred and Jenny had never seen anything like it. They also hadn’t expected the Bear Kids to employ tactics.
The big black bear stopped roaring and slowly walked over to them. The Bear Kids’ small bear eyes widened, watching the big black bear with great caution.
“Alfred, tell everyone not to rush later. If the big black bear wanted to pick on them, it would have done so already,” Liu Heming said to Alfred.
Alfred nodded. They were now starting to realize that something seemed off.
However, the situation inside the cage still took everyone by surprise, even making Liu Heming outside feel a bit embarrassed.
The big bear sat in front of the two Bear Kids, watching them. The Bear Kids didn’t hide. Instead, they rummaged through the small bags they were carrying, pulled out two Carrots, and placed them in front of the big bear.
“Dexter, do you think the Bear Cubs are trying to please the big bear?” Alfred asked, stroking his chin.
“Probably. Although the Bear Kids love sharing things with everyone, this is the first time they’ve shared like this,” Liu Heming said with a bitter smile.
The big bear didn’t even glance at the Carrots on the ground. It stood up and walked over to the two Bear Cubs, sniffing them all over.
The bear’s paws were very nimble, and it began to poke and prod the Bear Kids, sniffing them thoroughly. Then the big bear pushed the Bear Kids to the inner side of the cage and sat in front, completely blocking them from view.
Even now, it didn’t look at the Carrots on the ground. Instead, it started watching everyone, its eyes filled with caution.
“Alfred, does this mean the reunion was successful?” Liu Heming asked, looking at Alfred.
“I’m not sure. It should be. Otherwise, it wouldn’t be protecting these two Bear Cubs. But I still think this is too much of a coincidence,” Alfred said with a bitter smile.
“Sigh, can we adopt this big bear?” Liu Heming sighed.
At this point, it seemed his family would have to add another big eater to the mix. The big bear’s behavior was too obvious: if they wanted the Bear Kids to come out, they would have to defeat it first.
His Bear Kids were also too timid. Why couldn’t they communicate properly with the big bear and give some indication of whether it was their Mother Bear or not.
Whether they had received Liu Heming’s telepathic message or not, the two Bear Kids finally moved. They began playing and acting playful around the big bear.
“Dexter, if you want to adopt such a big bear, you need to be mentally prepared and also ensure your safety,” Alfred said.
“It’s fine. We’ll keep it for now. After all, there’s a Forest near our house. Next spring, we can let it take the Bear Cubs to play in the Forest,” Liu Heming nodded.
Whether he wanted to or not, he had to take it in. Otherwise, he would have to leave the Bear Kids here.
