“Tang Chen, Tang Chen?”
Tang Chen was sleeping groggily when he heard a sweet yet anxious voice calling his name. He lifted his eyelids and saw Yang Mi’s sweet face right in front of him.
“Yang Mi?” Tang Chen felt his throat was a bit dry, and his voice was somewhat hoarse.
“Great. It’s good that you’re awake. You scared me to death.” Yang Mi’s tense face finally relaxed a little. Clearly, she had been very worried during the time Tang Chen was unconscious.
Tang Chen faintly grunted in acknowledgment, scanned his surroundings, and asked, confused, “Yang Mi, am I at home or in the hospital?”
Yang Mi smiled and said, “You big dummy, this is our own home. Don’t you recognize it?”

Yang Mi found this even stranger and shook her head, saying, “No, they only said they happened to be passing by and came to help after hearing me shout for help. Tang Chen, what exactly happened?”

Tang Chen grinned, grabbed Yang Mi’s hand, and said with a cheeky laugh, “They were worried about me, so of course I’ll be good to them. But before that, I should first repay you for your concern.” As he spoke, he tried to pull Yang Mi onto himself.
“Stop it, you’re not fully recovered yet,” Yang Mi said coyly, swatting his hand away, her face blushing with shyness. Although she had been intimate with Tang Chen more than once, every time she thought about his terrifying ‘combat prowess,’ she felt both happy and a little scared.

“Nothing much. I just heard from Fang Wenxin that you seemed to be injured, so I called to check on you. It seems like you don’t need my concern now. Yang Mi is taking good care of you,” Lu Xiaoqing said quickly.
“Oh, thank you. I’m fine, I’ve recovered,” Tang Chen said with a dry laugh, unsure how to converse with Lu Xiaoqing.
The two fell into an awkward silence for a moment. Then Lu Xiaoqing said, somewhat dejectedly, “Tang Chen, don’t you have anything to say to me?”
Tang Chen said helplessly, “What do you want me to say to you?”
“I understand,” Lu Xiaoqing sighed with great disappointment, then spoke again, “Tang Chen, I wish you and Yang Mi everlasting happiness. Also, I’m leaving. My parents want me to transfer to a school in the United States. Actually, I don’t mean anything else. I just wanted to say a final goodbye to you. Goodbye.” With that, she hung up directly.
“Hello? Hello?” Tang Chen called out twice, but the other end only returned a busy signal. Tang Chen shook his head, put the phone on the bed, and felt like he had wronged Lu Xiaoqing.
“Respected Host, your emotional intelligence remains as idiotic as ever,” the System spoke, its words laced with sarcasm as usual.
Tang Chen didn’t have the energy to argue with it. Remembering something, he asked directly, “By the way, System, I remember when I was dueling Mo Chunqiu, I was clearly seriously injured. Why couldn’t the doctor find anything?”

Tang Chen obviously didn’t go to class today. Yang Mi also voluntarily stayed behind. Now that Tang Chen was injured, how could she possibly leave him at home alone and go to class herself?
After having lunch at home with Yang Mi, Tang Chen noticed she looked tired. He directly told her to go upstairs and sleep.
