Tang Chen froze for a moment, then smiled awkwardly and said, “Hehe, Xiaoqing, you’re joking, right? Is this some kind of cold joke?”
Lu Xiaoqing chuckled lightly. With a serious face, she said, “I’m not joking, Tang Chen. I feel there’s a mysterious charm about you that’s very attractive, you know? Tang Chen quickly grabbed her hand and said with a pained expression, “Xiaoqing, stop playing. This game isn’t fun at all.”
Putting aside the fact that Tang Chen wasn’t interested, even if he were, he couldn’t do that with Lu Xiaoqing. He really liked Yang Mi and had sworn to marry no one but her. If he did something with Lu Xiaoqing behind Yang Mi’s back, wouldn’t that make him worse than an animal?
Just as Tang Chen was thinking about how to persuade Lu Xiaoqing, his mobile phone rang. Tang Chen quickly gently pushed Lu Xiaoqing away and said, “Answer the phone. Uh, let me answer the call.”
Tang Chen didn’t use much force, so Lu Xiaoqing landed steadily on the ground. She shot Tang Chen a resentful look, then began buttoning up her clothes.
Tang Chen escaped into the car as if fleeing, quickly took out his mobile phone, and answered the call, saying, “Hello?”
“Hello, is this Tang Chen? Where are you? Why didn’t you answer my calls? You scared me to death! Yang Mi finally laughed happily. After telling Tang Chen she was at the school, she hung up the phone full of anticipation. After ending the call, Tang Chen found himself in an awkward situation again.
He didn’t even dare to look Lu Xiaoqing in the eye. Even though he hadn’t done anything wrong, he just felt somewhat unable to face her.

Tang Chen breathed a sigh of relief and quickly said, “Yes, that’s right. I’m glad you think that way. Let’s continue being friends in the future.”
Lu Xiaoqing’s eyes lowered, and it was unclear what she was thinking. She just said, “Tang Chen, I hope you won’t tell Yang Mi about what happened today. I don’t want her to know that her good friend would do something like this. Just think of it as me being lonely for too long and wanting someone to comfort me properly. Is that okay?”
