Chapter 52: Actually, I Have a Gun Too

Some women seemed born to conquer the fiercest of demons. They didn’t need to work hard to be seductive; just a slight smile, a turn of the head, and men would fall head over heels. Clearly, this woman was that kind.

She stood about one hundred seventy centimeters tall, wearing black high heels that looked about five centimeters. Dressed entirely in black leather pants and a leather top, she easily reminded people of those queens from Japanese “special” movies, the ones holding whips with names like Mommy or something.

She thought this guy would run right after hitting people. Instead, he threatened the victims, telling them not to report it! Seriously infuriating! He completely ignored the fact that she was a police officer!

“You, stop right there! Hit someone and think about leaving? Come with me to the station!” Liu Yanran strode over, her fast and decisive personality fully on display.

“Why? You’re not the police.” Tang Chen rolled his eyes. Go with you to a hotel? Maybe. Go to the station? No way.

Ahem, Young Master Tang, where’s your integrity? Weren’t you supposed to not be such a jerk?

Liu Yanran gave a strange smirk, then pulled a badge from her jacket. “You actually guessed it. You assaulted citizens in a public place. You’re coming with me to the station for questioning.”

I’m screwed! Really a cop! A thousand “what the crap”s stampeded through Tang Chen’s mind. A policewoman with a figure this good? Tang Chen’s thoughts immediately went somewhere inappropriate.

“What the heck are you staring at? Keep looking and I’ll dig your eyeballs out!” Liu Yanran frowned, extremely uncomfortable with Tang Chen’s invasive gaze.

Tang Chen coughed awkwardly, then put on an innocent face. “Police Sister, I’m wronged! So many of them tried to gang up on little ol’ me! Look at me! Pure as snow! They call me the clueless little good boy, the innocent young gentleman! How could such a child hit someone? Wronged, I tell you!”

Liu Yanran’s lips twitched. Her expression was epic. She cursed inwardly at this shameless brat, having clearly witnessed him hit people himself. Now he was shirking responsibility faster than anyone. Utterly shameless.

“No nonsense! I saw you hit people with my own eyes!” Liu Yanran snapped. “My colleagues will handle these guys later. As for you, you’re coming with me first.” She snorted. This kid was slick-tongued and definitely no good guy.

“I’m wronged, Police Sister! I really am a good kid! I’m still a student! You know students don’t lie!” As he spoke, Tang Chen clutched his chest and suddenly cried out in pain. “Oh no, oh no! These jerks gave me internal injuries! I’m gonna faint!” Saying this, he lunged forward, wrapping his arms around Liu Yanran and grabbing her waist.

Everyone stared, dumbfounded – a mix of envy and being truly blown away. Holy crap! This actually works! This guy was so lucky, getting to cop a feel from a policewoman!

“You – you let me go!” Even though she was a tough woman, Liu Yanran was still a girl. Suddenly embraced so tightly by a boy, her face flushed instantly red. She shoved Tang Chen away and slapped him sharply across the face. “You bastard! Now I’m not just charging you with group assault! I’m charging you with molesting a woman!”

Tang Chen touched his stinging cheek, putting on a miserable face and amping up his shameless act. “Police Sister, you really know how to wrong a good person! I lost my footing because of my injuries! And molesting a woman? You look more like a mature lady, if anything, definitely not a woman!”

Pfft!

A guest who was trying to take a sip of wine to calm down immediately spat it out. Damn ruthless! How the heck could someone be so ruthless!

“You… you bastard! Go die!” Liu Yanran stomped her foot in fury, then kicked straight at Tang Chen’s body.

Tang Chen just grinned, sidestepped the kick, and grabbed Liu Yanran’s leg instead, giving a lecherous smile. “Police Sister, your legs are so long!”

“Go to hell!” Liu Yanran’s face completely frosted over. The iceberg erupted. Her left leg snapped up, locking around Tang Chen’s neck. Then, using her momentum, she flipped him backward, throwing him straight onto the floor.

Screeeew this! Tang Chen swore. As he fell, he pushed off the ground with his hands, staggering back a few steps before regaining his balance.

“Police Sister! I’m gonna report you! For using excessive force against a law-abiding citizen like me!” Tang Chen shouted like a hysterical woman, stamping his foot hard on the ground, wearing an exaggerated expression of suffering.

“You little punk!” Liu Yanran could no longer tolerate his insolence. She directly pulled a handgun out from her jacket, strode over, and pointed it at Tang Chen, shouting, “Keep this nonsense up and I’ll shoot!”

The surrounding guests weren’t expecting a policewoman to carry a gun. They were all scared stiff.

Tang Chen swallowed thickly. He had pushed it too far. Police Sister had a gun pointed at him! He prayed mentally to the [System]: “[System], can I block a bullet right now?”

“Respected Host, please exit the premises and turn left. About fifty meters, there’s a little store.”

“Go to a store for what?” That was not the answer he needed!

The [System] replied calmly, “Respected Host, I recommend purchasing bottled ice water to stimulate your brain. Then you wouldn’t ask such stupid questions.”

“Screw your baby cousin from your uncle’s wife’s second marriage’s third concubine!” Tang Chen gnashed his teeth and cursed inwardly. Couldn’t you just say ‘No’? Was mocking me really necessary?

“Heh heh, Police Sister, just joking!” Tang Chen plastered on a grin. “Someone as lovely as you, whom people adore and cars blow tires for sight of you, wouldn’t really shoot me, right? It’s just the station? I’ll go with you, okay?” Can’t blame Tang Chen for chickening out. Nobody wanted to catch a bullet!

Liu Yanran snorted coldly, satisfied at last. She walked behind Tang Chen and pressed the gun into his back. “First, to the station with me. You guests stay put. My colleagues will be here soon. Everyone needs to give a statement.” This last order was for the guests.

The guests exchanged uneasy glances, not daring to disobey. They nodded quickly in agreement.

Being poked with a gun like this made Tang Chen feel very unsafe. He tried wheedling again, “Police Sister, can you please not do this? I just hit a guy, I didn’t kill anyone! What if it accidentally… you know?”

Liu Yanran gave a cold laugh. “Don’t worry. My gun is very obedient. It won’t ‘go off’. And if you are unfortunately killed by my gun? Rest assured, this lady will wave a little farewell handkerchief for you.”

Tang Chen’s face darkened. Heck no! That was a curse! She was definitely cursing him!

They left the bar. Liu Yanran slipped her handgun inside her sleeve, its muzzle still pressed firmly against Tang Chen’s back. She gestured ahead: “That red car up there is mine. Get in.”

Tang Chen’s lips twitched. He stopped walking suddenly and said, “Police Sister… actually, I have a gun on me too.”

Liu Yanran froze, then tensed up. “You dare carry a gun? What scheme are you plotting? Planning terrorist attacks?”

Tang Chen’s expression turned epic. “Police Sister, totally overthinking it,” he said slowly. “Girls enjoy this ‘gun’ of mine the most.”

Girls enjoy it the most? Liu Yanran wasn’t a little girl. She understood instantly. Her face flushed crimson again. Her knee shot up, aiming directly for Tang Chen’s rear. “You bastard!” she hissed, her voice sharp. “If you dare speak that nonsense again, I’ll snap your gun right off!”
