Chapter 45: Not Giving Up Until Facing Reality!
Chapter 45: Not Giving Up Until Facing Reality!
None of the shareholders present expected Tang Chen to make such a strong entrance. Watching Director Xie fall to the ground, they couldn’t help but shout in surprise.
“What kind of person are you? Why did you barge in here!”
“Judging by your appearance, you should be a student, right? Why did you hit someone, and of all people, Director Xie?”
“Principal Wang, is this how you manage students?”
Principal Wang also forced a bitter smile. He never imagined Tang Chen would be so overbearing and arrogant, rushing in and knocking out Xie Tingfeng and his son in one go. Hu Weidong stared at Tang Chen, his eyes flickering, not knowing what he was thinking.
Faced with the accusations from these idiot-like directors, Tang Chen simply yawned and ignored them. He walked over and sat down next to Principal Wang, saying, “Principal, it’s only been a day since I last saw you, but you still look so young.”
The principal felt like coughing up blood. This guy didn’t care at all about the directors’ shouts. Could he be any more arrogant? But that was fine—since they had already torn up all pretense, there was nothing to be afraid of.
“Dammit, Principal Wang, it seems you are very familiar with this kid. Do you even take us directors seriously? Get him out of here!” A fat director slammed the table angrily, stood up, and pointed at Principal Wang’s nose, cursing.
Tang Chen lazily glanced at him and said, “Where did you come from, you idiot? We’re having a meeting, and I, the Young Master, just came to join in. Why are you talking so much? Do you believe I’ll slap you?”
“I’ll slap you, you piece of trash!” The fat director, who was also a Boss of a company, had never been cursed at by anyone, especially not by such a young student. He was absolutely furious.
Tang Chen curled his lip and said, “Old fool, you brought this on yourself.” As he spoke, Tang Chen walked over.
“Tang Chen, don’t make this worse!” Principal Wang spoke up to mediate, not wanting to see the situation escalate beyond control.
“Principal, I don’t know how you can tolerate dogs like this barking in front of you, but I, the Young Master, can’t stand it.” Tang Chen spoke to the principal without turning his head, then walked up to the fat director.
“You little brat, I’ll kill you!” The fat director was so angry he grabbed a teacup from the table to smash at Tang Chen, but Tang Chen was faster, kicking him in the leg and then slapping him across the face.
Bang!
The fat director’s face immediately swelled up. Just as he tried to curse again, Tang Chen slapped him once more.
“Do you think you’re something special? You idiot, how dare you curse at me, the Young Master.” Tang Chen activated the Slapping Divine Palm, wildly slapping the fat director’s face until it was swollen like a pig’s head. Then he grabbed the teacup and smashed it hard against the director’s head.
Bang!
The fragile teacup shattered on the spot, tea splashing all over the fat director’s head, his face covered in tea leaves. He swayed a few times before collapsing to the floor, unconscious.
“Pah! With your sorry state, you think you can hit me, the Young Master? I’ll slap you to death.” Still not satisfied, Tang Chen kicked the fat director in the stomach and spat on him.
The other directors erupted in an uproar. Did this guy have any respect for the law? How could he just beat up the fat director like that? Was he trying to start a rebellion?
“Kid, you’re in big trouble now. Security!” Another middle-aged man, who seemed to be close to the fat director, shouted angrily, calling for the Security Guard outside.
“Secure your mother!” Tang Chen sneered, walked over, and slapped the man across the face. The man covered his face and slumped into his chair from the blow.
“If you keep running your mouth, do you believe I’ll make sure you’re the one in big trouble?” Tang Chen smiled as he shook his fist, though the threat in his smile was unmistakable.
The middle-aged director wanted to curse back, but seeing the ferocity in Tang Chen’s eyes and remembering what had happened to Director Xie and the other two, he swallowed his words and lowered his head, avoiding Tang Chen’s gaze.
Tang Chen nodded in satisfaction, then returned to his seat next to Principal Wang, smiling as he said, “Now, does anyone have a problem with me being here to observe?”
His meaning was clear: if anyone still had a problem, he would beat them until they didn’t! He had heard every word these idiots said outside—more than a dozen of them ganging up on the principal. As the principal’s ally and the representative of justice, Tang Chen felt it was his duty to teach these scoundrels a lesson.
The remaining sixteen directors fell silent. They were too frightened by Tang Chen to speak, but inwardly, they were furious with Principal Wang. Where on earth did this bastard find such a freak?
The principal had always been at a disadvantage, suppressed by the eighteen directors. Now, seeing them all behaving as meekly as possible, he felt a secret thrill. The old saying was indeed true: the soft fear the tough, and the tough fear the ruthless. Weren’t you all so arrogant before? So why aren’t any of you speaking up now?
Tang Chen gave a light cough and said to the principal, “Principal, weren’t you holding a shareholders’ meeting? Please continue.”
The principal, now feeling more confident, nodded and said seriously, “Where were we just now?”
Director Hu exchanged a glance with his son and continued, “We were just saying that you, Principal Wang, have been very negligent as a principal. Not only have you ignored the students’ safety, but you’ve also allowed certain individual students to act recklessly, even assaulting school directors. We believe you are no longer fit to be the principal.”
Tang Chen frowned in displeasure and said, “Sorry, but I, the Young Master, would like to interrupt. When you say ‘individual student,’ are you referring to me?”
Director Hu, not backing down, admitted directly, “Yes, I’m talking about you. Not only did you barge into our meeting and assault school directors, but I’ve also heard that you were the one who gathered so many students for that assembly on the Sports Ground some time ago. I really don’t understand why a student like you is still allowed to study here. If it were up to me, I would have expelled you long ago.”
Tang Chen sneered and said, “Expel me? It seems you don’t have that authority. Also, if idiots like you can attend this meeting as directors, why can’t I, the Young Master, be here?”
Director Hu snorted coldly and said, “Brat, you talk too much. We’ll deal with you later for assaulting school shareholders. For now, Principal Wang, the eighteen of us directors jointly demand that you step down!”
Beads of sweat reappeared on the principal’s forehead. Although Tang Chen’s beatdown was satisfying, if Tang Chen hadn’t secured the shares, he would still have to step down today! Thinking this, he uneasily glanced at Tang Chen.
Tang Chen, however, smiled confidently and said meaningfully, “I say, you old fool, what right do you have to make the principal step down?”
Director Hu laughed loudly and said, “I already answered that question for Principal Wang earlier. It’s because the combined shares of us eighteen shareholders are greater than his. He must obey the decisions of the board of directors. Isn’t that right?”
As soon as he said this, the shareholders who had been intimidated by Tang Chen earlier also started laughing, loudly agreeing. That’s right, no matter how violent you are, kid, this is a fact you can’t change: our combined shares are more than double Principal Wang’s! How can you fight us?
Tang Chen also burst out laughing, then said, “I think you old fools are truly senile. Didn’t you transfer your shares to me, the Young Master, half a month ago?”
Director Hu was stunned for a moment, then let out a mocking laugh. “Kid, you’re not just an idiot—you’re a complete moron. Do you really think we would transfer our shares to you? What a joke!”
Tang Chen shook his head helplessly and said, “Humans, you’re always so damn self-righteous. You just won’t give up until you’re faced with reality!” As he spoke, he snapped his fingers and called out to the door, “Lawyer, bring in the documents!”
As soon as Tang Chen finished speaking, a man in a black suit walked in from outside. He was carrying a black briefcase. For some reason, the appearance of this man made the shareholders present feel uneasy. Had someone really broken the agreement and secretly sold their shares?
The lawyer walked up to Tang Chen and addressed him as “Young Master Tang.” Tang Chen nodded, then said to the lawyer, “First, show these idiots your business card, so no one thinks I, the Young Master, am bluffing.”
The lawyer nodded, placed the briefcase in front of Tang Chen, took a business card from his pocket, and walked over to the shareholders. He handed a card to each person and said, “Hello, I am Zhang Ming, a lawyer from Brilliance Law Firm. This is my business card.”
The shareholders numbly accepted the cards. They knew of Brilliance Law Firm—it was somewhat well-known in the industry. What was going on? Had this guy really brought a lawyer?
