The moment the name Fang Wenxin was spoken, all the students looked stunned. What? The boss of the Zhongmen Society is Young Master Fang Wenxin? What was going on?
Tang Chen was also a bit surprised. Fang Wenxin, this guy, was actually the leader of a campus gang? Could he be any lower profile?
Fang Wenxin on the other end was equally shocked. “Young Master Tang, is it really you? What did you say? My people offended you?”
Tang Chen gave an “Mm.” and said coolly, “Yeah. A few dogs claiming to be from the Zhongmen Society came here disturbing my date with my girlfriend. I’ve already knocked them down. Do you want to come over?”
Fang Wenxin was nearly furious to death. These idiots! Young Master Tang had helped him get revenge, and now he genuinely respected Tang Chen. If they angered Young Master Tang, what then? Utterly useless troublemakers!
“I’ll be right there, right there!” Fang Wenxin hung up in a hurry and rushed out the door.
Tang Chen threw the phone onto the ground. With a crunch, he stomped Zhang Ke’s latest model Apple mobile phone to pieces. Then he said to Zhang Ke, “Just wait. Fang Wenxin will be here soon to take you back.”
Zhang Ke was half doubtful. Who did you think you were? He didn’t believe Tang Chen really knew his Boss. Even if he did, he couldn’t believe this guy dared talk to his Boss like that. Just wait for my Boss to deal with you.
Tang Chen knew what Zhang Ke was thinking but didn’t care. He pulled Yang Mi into a seat. “Mi Mi, let’s keep eating. I’m hungry.”
Not only was Yang Mi speechless at this kid, the other students almost spat blood in disbelief. Damn, after such a big situation, you still have the mood to eat? Was he incredibly broad-minded, or just a total idiot?
Yang Mi worriedly pulled Tang Chen’s hand. “Tang Chen, maybe we should leave first? What if something happens?”
Tang Chen gently squeezed her hand in his palm. “Don’t worry. Have you forgotten Fang Wenxin is my subordinate now? He wouldn’t dare disobey my orders.”
Yang Mi remembered what happened that day at the Judo Club. She pursed her lips and didn’t say anything.
That innocent pout, so unbearably cute, made Tang Chen’s heart flutter wildly. Then, to the utterly stunned gaze of everyone, he kissed Yang Mi directly on the lips. The two kissed passionately, completely ignoring the audience.
The cafeteria fell utterly silent, so quiet you could hear a pin drop. What was this? Utter disregard! Total dominance! Damn, the guys you beat are lying on the ground unable to get up, and here you are kissing as if nothing happened? Even if you’re the main character, you can’t be like this! Have some face for the side characters!
Lu Xiaoqing’s eyes also flickered. She found this man more and more intriguing. How could he be so wildly cool and arrogant? What was his background?
After about five minutes, someone shouted that Fang Wenxin had arrived. Everyone saw Fang Wenxin hurry in through the entrance. He glanced towards the most crowded spot and quickly walked over.
“Big Brother!” Zhang Ke and the others cried out. Finally, the Boss was here! Great! They could finally get justice for the humiliation they’d suffered.
Fang Wenxin saw Zhang Ke and the others lying on the ground. Killing intent immediately flashed in his eyes. He walked over and kicked Zhang Ke hard in the stomach, making him gag and almost vomit bile.
“Ah! Boss, you hit the wrong person!” Zhang Ke clutched his stomach, curled up on the ground like a shrimp.
“Wrong, my ass!” Fang Wenxin lifted his foot and kicked again, his voice cold. “You wait here. I’ll deal with you in a minute.” Then, under the students’ watchful eyes, he walked up to Tang Chen, bowed respectfully at forty-five degrees, and said, “Young Master Tang.”
The whole place erupted. What had they heard? Fang Wenxin calling Tang Chen ‘Young Master Tang’? Were the rumors true? Had Fang Wenxin really accepted Tang Chen as his boss? But that made no sense!
Tang Chen stood up, acknowledging him lightly with an “Mm.” Then he said, “Fang Wenxin, you hid it well. You’re even the boss of some Zhongmen Society?”
Fang Wenxin smiled sheepishly. “You flatter me, Young Master Tang. It’s just a little gang I started for fun. If you don’t like it, Young Master, I’ll disband it immediately.”
Zhang Ke completely froze. Boss, did you lose your mind? If you haven’t lost your mind, why would you say something like that? Just because Tang Chen doesn’t like it, you’ll dissolve the gang? Seriously? You built this with your own sweat! Is being this reckless really okay?
Tang Chen, however, waved his hand. “I have no problem with you having a gang. But when recruiting, you need to be careful. Guys like this, tasteless yet pretending to be awesome, absolutely can’t be part of it in the future.”
Fang Wenxin immediately nodded vigorously. “Yes, yes, Young Master Tang, I understand. I’ll discipline them properly when I get back.”
Tang Chen nodded in satisfaction. “Alright then. I’m leaving. Settle the bill for me.”
“Yes, Young Master Tang.” Fang Wenxin bowed respectfully again. Then, Tang Chen, arm around Yang Mi, swaggered off with Lu Xiaoqing following. The watching students automatically split into two lines to make a path for him.
“Scram, all of you.” Fang Wenxin straightened up and addressed the surrounding students. Seeing the situation was over, the students murmured a bit and gradually dispersed.
“Big Brother…” Zhang Ke finally realized the magnitude of his mistake. Anyone his Big Brother treated with such extreme caution… he couldn’t even fathom how intimidating that person must be.
Fang Wenxin snorted coldly. “We’ll settle this back at base. I’m warning you all, never offend Young Master Tang again! He is my Boss!”
“Yes!” Zhang Ke and the others answered weakly. Their boss’s boss… the grand boss. Looks like the beating they took today was pure humiliation.
Tang Chen walked out of the cafeteria. Yang Mi gently pushed him away, her face still flushed with embarrassment. Kissing Tang Chen in front of so many people made her heart feel like it was about to explode.
“Why shove me? Do I smell?” Tang Chen made an insensitive joke, utterly lacking tact.
Yang Mi rolled her eyes at him, angrily turning her back on him. Lu Xiaoqing then gently hugged Yang Mi and said to Tang Chen, “Tang Chen, your emotional intelligence is way too low! Can’t you tell Mi Mi is shy?”
Tang Chen suddenly understood but shrugged it off nonchalantly. “What’s there to be shy about? Life demands a few crazy moments.”
Lu Xiaoqing was speechless. Yang Mi was speechless too. Frustrated, Yang Mi said, “You pervert! I’m leaving!” She grabbed Lu Xiaoqing and pulled her away.
Tang Chen sheepishly rubbed his nose. He sighed, “Women, women. Truly the most perplexing creatures on earth.”
Yang Mi pulled Lu Xiaoqing away. After running for a while, the two girls stopped, panting heavily. Lu Xiaoqing teased mischievously, “Yang Mi, why so shy now? You were practically on fire back in the cafeteria!”
Yang Mi’s face flushed red again. “Xiaoqing, please stop! I’m dying of embarrassment!”
Knowing her best friend was easily embarrassed, Lu Xiaoqing dropped the teasing. She took Yang Mi’s hand and asked seriously, “Yang Mi, tell me honestly, just who is this boyfriend of yours? What’s his real deal?”
Meanwhile, Tang Chen had already turned and left campus. He was definitely skipping his afternoon classes. Still hungry from the interrupted meal earlier, he casually found a restaurant to have some food. In his mind, he asked the System, “System, my mission counts as completed, right?”
System: “Honorable Host, completed excellently.”
Tang Chen finally breathed a sigh of relief. His hand was sore from all that punching; it would have been ridiculous if it wasn’t considered a success. To the System, he said, “Alright, System, now where’s my reward? The handsome guy underwear?”
System: “Honorable Host, are you certain you want the reward now?”
Tang Chen was displeased. “Of course I’m sure! Don’t pull the random reward crap again! Don’t mess with me, give it to me!”
The System sighed helplessly. “Alright then. This System obliges.”
“Ding! Host mission successful. Reward: One pair of handsome guy underwear. Dispatched immediately.”
“Ding! Handsome guy underwear automatic binding with host body commenced. Binding complete.”
As the System prompts faded, Tang Chen patted his pockets, confused. “System, where’s the underwear? Nothing! You’re pulling my leg!”
System: “Honorable Host, please direct your gaze to your leg.”
His leg? Tang Chen looked down. On his leg, seemingly appearing out of nowhere, was a pair of bright red underwear! The color was impossibly vivid!
“AHHH! Momma! There’s a pervert!”
“Holy crap! Does this dude think wearing underwear outside his pants makes him Superman?” A sharp-eyed girl shouted. Immediately, every customer turned to stare at the eye-catching red underwear clinging to Tang Chen’s leg…
Tang Chen covered his face, unable to hold back tears as he bolted from the restaurant. In his heart, he roared, “System! I curse your entire family!”
System: “La la la la la…”
