Chapter 255: Preparations Before Departure
Chapter 255: Preparations Before Departure
Ape and his companions looked grim. Ape growled in anger: “Yuanyang, take Wang Jianfeng and leave first! Us four brothers will stay and hold off these disgusting big noses!”
Yuanyang gave a bitter smile. “Don’t kid around. They have so many people. If only you four stay… it’s suicide. I can’t just watch you throw your lives away!”
“Losing four is better than losing everyone!” Ape said heavily. Black Fox and the others immediately nodded. Then, gritting their teeth, the four prepared to stand up.
“You idiots, go die!”
Just as despair gripped Yuanyang and her group, a familiar roar echoed. Yuanyang, ignoring the danger, instinctively jumped up. Tears streamed down her face. “Tang Chen!” she cried out loud.
“Damn it!” Lawrence and his men looked horrified. They saw a young man, bare-chested, suddenly charging from behind them. He held a gleaming dagger in his right hand as he sprinted towards them.
“Take him down!” Lawrence yelled. He waved at his men, who instantly turned and fired. Bang! Bang! Bang! Bullets rained down on Tang Chen. Yuanyang and the others felt their breath catch in shock. They realized that no matter how fierce Lawrence’s attack was, every bullet that hit Tang Chen… just bounced right off!
“Die!” Tang Chen charged incredibly fast. He leaped high like a Shinigami. The dagger in his hand slashed towards a gun held by one agent. Clang! A crisp sound rang out. The agent’s gun was sliced clean in two. Before the agent could react, the Edgeless Dagger had already swept across his throat.
Crack!
His head was severed clean off by Tang Chen’s dagger. Blood splattered out violently. Tang Chen’s face and body were instantly covered in the red spray.
“Demon! Kill him!” Lawrence was terrified. What was this guy? Bullets couldn’t even hurt him, and now he killed so brutally!
Tang Chen wasted no words. He dove straight into the group of agents. His dagger struck with blinding speed – severing heads, piercing hearts. Any agent who got near Tang Chen didn’t survive beyond a single move!
Although the FBI agents outnumbered him, their bullets were useless, and none matched his skill. In less than a minute, they were completely routed, stumbling back.
“We go too! Kill these big noses!” Yuanyang knew the moment had arrived. Ignoring everything, she and the others opened fire on Lawrence’s group. The agents, already struggling to handle Tang Chen at the front, were ambushed from behind. Caught in the crossfire, they were overwhelmed.
Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Gunshots exploded everywhere. Agents fell, shot one after another. Lawrence constantly hid behind his subordinates, using them as human shields, shouting: “Don’t panic! Don’t panic! There are more of us! Don’t be afraid!”
“More of you, my ass!” Tang Chen had just killed four more agents. He grabbed one agent’s corpse and hurled it at Lawrence. The fleshy missile knocked over a dozen men. Then, Tang Chen flung his dagger with all his strength towards Lawrence’s chest!
Lawrence reacted surprisingly fast. He yanked the agent standing right behind him, using him as a shield. Thud! The dagger pierced straight through the agent’s heart. But, horrifyingly, the dagger was so sharp it didn’t stop after passing through the first agent. It shot out the other side… and plunged deep into Lawrence’s chest…
Lawrence never dreamed he’d die like this. He clutched his bleeding chest, struggling to scream. Tang Chen rushed over, kicked his neck hard – snap! His spine broke. Blood vessels burst. Finally, he died.
Lawrence, the mighty FBI Bureau Chief, died in the most absurd way. How ridiculous.
Tang Chen yanked the dagger from Lawrence’s chest. He hoisted Lawrence’s corpse high above his head. “Stop!” he roared. “Your boss is dead! Do you want to die too? Don’t force my hand!”
The remaining dozen or so agents heard Tang Chen’s shout and saw Lawrence’s lifeless body. Instantly, they collapsed in spirit, like they lost their backbone.
“Oh God, the Minister!” one agent screamed, dropping his weapon in surrender. Seeing this example, the other agents followed suit. They all threw down their weapons, kneeling in surrender.
The reversal was shockingly dramatic. Surely, these agents never dreamed it: one hundred agents hunting down five people. The result? The Bureau Chief dead, and themselves kneeling… surrendering.
“Yuanyang! Collect their weapons!” Tang Chen threw Lawrence’s corpse down and stepped firmly on it.
Yuanyang’s heart pounded with excitement. She wanted nothing more than to rush forward and embrace Tang Chen tightly. But considering the situation, she ordered Black Fox instead: “Black Fox! Go collect their weapons!”
Black Fox and the other three nodded excitedly. They had thought death was certain. If not for Tang Chen killing Lawrence, the outcome would never have changed so drastically.
“Careful! Put the gun down!”
“Kneel properly! Or I’ll blow your head off!”
Black Fox and the others swaggered, overjoyed for the chance to humble these arrogant FBI elites themselves.
“Yuanyang, are you hurt?” Tang Chen strode towards her, concern in his voice. He examined her carefully and found she only had a wound on her forearm. The rest was unharmed.
Reuniting with Tang Chen again, Yuanyang’s throat tightened with unsaid words. She swallowed hard, managing a faint smile. “I’m alright. But you… you look like you just fought for your life. What happened at the Pentagon?”
“The Pentagon?” Tang Chen gave a mysterious, calm smile. “That place… I blew it up. There’s no Pentagon left in the world anymore.”
His casual words made Yuanyang and Wang Jianfeng behind her blanch instantly. He blew up the building? My God! What insane thing had he done? Blown up the Pentagon!
Yuanyang felt she understood Tang Chen less and less. But recalling how bullets bounced off him mere moments ago made his building destruction feel less shocking. After all, for an invincible stronghold of a man like Tang Chen… destroying one building probably wasn’t that big a deal.
“Tang Chen, Young Master! We’ve collected all their weapons!” Water Python called out. Their feeling for Tang Chen now was pure worship. Turning the tide alone – that earned any man’s respect.
Tang Chen grunted his acknowledgement and walked over. “Stand aside first. I’ll finish things here, then we leave immediately.”
Ape and the others grunted in agreement, stepping back to watch Tang Chen handle matters.
“We’ve already surrendered! You can’t kill us!” a wounded, bloodied agent cried out. Tang Chen’s fierce aura terrified them. They surrendered partly because the Minister was dead, leaving them leaderless, and partly because faced with such a man, they lost all will to fight.
“Trash!” Tang Chen spat. “Your boss got killed by this Young Master! Your first instinct should be revenge. But you? You just surrendered in fear! Scum like you don’t deserve to live in this world either!” With that, he tucked the dagger into his waistband, snatched the gun from Black Fox’s hands, and opened fire on the kneeling agents!
Ratatatatatat!
No one expected Tang Chen to suddenly shoot. It was outright slaughter. Before the agents could react, bullets ripped through them. They fell amidst screams. In less than ten seconds, the last agent was shot dead. Just like that, Tang Chen carried out his first personal death sentence!
Clatter!
Tang Chen threw the empty gun onto the ground. He told Yuanyang and the others: “The Pentagon is gone, and these FBI idiots are dead. The US higher-ups will definitely come after us like crazy now. We need to leave the United States tonight!”
