Chapter 254: Mission Complete

The System didn’t know what Tang Chen was up to or why he was so confident he could escape the Pentagon in just one minute. But being a responsible system, it obediently modified the program and triggered the missile.

“Dear Host, the System has just modified the program. The missile will strike here in one minute.” The System sounded quite pleased, as if it were eager for Tang Chen’s praise for doing something so impressive.

“Damn it! Damn it!” Jackson was going insane. Although he didn’t understand Chinese, just seeing Tang Chen’s annoying expression drove him crazy. Less than ten seconds after he flew away, a huge fireball hit the building on the ground. Then came an earth-shattering sound. The anti-air missile was incredibly powerful, and continuous explosions roared like thunder.

Dazzling, fiery flames, resembling a fire dragon, shot up into the sky, illuminating the entire night. All five sections of the building collapsed simultaneously, like dominoes—one building fell and brought down the other four. A mushroom cloud rose once again, dust filled the air, and the sky turned dark. The scene was both shocking and spectacular.

At that moment, several fighter jets were gradually approaching in the sky. When the pilots saw the flames at the Pentagon, one of them almost let go of the controls and caused the plane to crash. “My God, what happened? The building collapsed!”

The massive explosion was felt by cities all around Washington, especially by residents in the city center. They felt their houses shaking and wondered if it was an earthquake.

At that moment, Boss Obama was watching the news when he received a phone call. He picked up the phone and asked sternly, “It’s so late. What’s going on?”

On the other end of the line was Secretary of State Tabor. Tabor swallowed nervously, gripping the phone tightly, and finally managed to say, “Mr. President, the building was hit by a missile and has now collapsed.”

Lawrence felt like he was about to die. Initially, he had brought over a hundred men to arrest Yuanyang and her team during the fake transaction. But these Chinese were too cunning—not only did they avoid capture, but they also used bombs and other means to wipe out more than half of his men. He was furious and determined to eliminate them today.

“Stop hiding! I know you’re here, you damn Chinese! Go to hell!” Lawrence screamed hysterically. He wished he could tear Yuanyang and the others apart with his bare hands!
