Chapter 253: Blowing Up the Pentagon With a Missile Made by Big Nose Himself!

Thud! Thud! Tang Chen’s kicks landed simultaneously on the chests and shoulders of two bodyguards. He followed with a whip kick to the face of the guy on his left, then delivered three punches and two more rapid kicks to the body of the guy on the right.

“Scram!”

Tang Chen roared again. While forcing the two bodyguards back, he unleashed a heavy punch straight into the temple of the man behind him. That guy spat blood and died instantly. Tang Chen bent down, locked his hand around the neck of the last bodyguard, scooped up his legs with his other hand, and hoisted the entire man aloft.

Hah!

A sickening crack echoed. This hefty bodyguard, all 190 centimeters of him, was slammed down across Tang Chen’s knee, crashing viciously into his spine. His backbone shattered instantly; life fled his body on the spot. Just like that, all four bodyguards were dead.

“Trash!” Tang Chen straightened up. He strode directly towards the office, kicked the door open with one foot, and found Jackson sitting calmly behind his desk.

“Chinese, you do have some skill,” Jackson said, not a trace of fear in his voice. His tone was oddly casual, like mere small talk. “No wonder you barged into my Pentagon solo.”

“Of course I have skills,” Tang Chen replied, not rushing to strike. Killing Jackson was easy enough. But blowing up the Pentagon? That was tougher. “Seems you knew I’d come to kill you. Aren’t you afraid to die?”

Though Jackson didn’t understand Tang Chen’s words, the tone felt menacing. He stood up, smiling smoothly. “Jackson’s crawled his way up. What dark, bloody things haven’t I seen? If fear ran in my blood, I wouldn’t be waiting here quietly for you. I must say, I admire you. You truly have both cunning and guts. First, you had your people pose as the Red Army, offering to buy Wang Jianfeng’s life. Then, when the entire FBI rushed to respond, you somehow snuck into our building alone to steal data. Truly, you’re the cleverest Chinese I’ve ever met.”

Tang Chen gave a cold snort. He pulled a USB drive from his pocket, his voice icy. “You’re wrong about one thing. I’m not stealing. I’m just taking back what belongs to my nation. You are the thieves, you filthy grandsons! Can’t stand to see China do well, can you? You lowlifes used tricks to bribe the traitor Wang Jianfeng, getting him to steal our nation’s USB drive and hand it over! Then you brazenly plagiarize our nation’s wisdom! Tell me, Big Nose, how can you lot be so utterly shameless?”

Big Nose Jackson had no clue what Tang Chen was ranting about. He looked furious, likely accusing him of orchestrating the data theft.

Jackson ignored the outburst. “Admittedly, your plan was clever,” he continued conversationally. “But you made one miscalculation. This is the Pentagon. This is Washington! Do you really believe you can cause this much trouble here and just walk out? Think again. See, I just made a call upstairs. Got connected directly to the Big Boss himself at the White House. Elite reinforcements are already on their way here. Should arrive within half an hour. You’ll die here. And another thing—my man Lawrence called. Said they’ve already engaged your comrades. Facing stiff resistance, yes. But we outnumber them. Won’t be long before we wipe them all out. It’ll be perfect timing for you all to meet on the yellow spring road!”

“You fucking coward! Still trying to provoke me?!” Tang Chen exploded. He lunged forward, blasting Jackson’s desk into splinters with a single kick. His fist followed immediately, crashing towards Jackson’s head.

Wham!

The blow was terrific. Jackson’s head immediately blossomed with blood. He reeled dizzily, crashing to the floor. Only because Tang Chen didn’t intend to kill him yet did that punch fail to crack his skull like a melon!

“Pah! You clueless sack of trash! At a time like this, you still dare to anger your Young Master?” Tang Chen spat, rage mounting as he grabbed Jackson by the collar and slammed him hard against the wall. “You think I fear your so-called reinforcements? Ridiculous!”

Blood streamed from Jackson’s mouth, pain twisting his face. He managed to sneer defiantly. “Go ahead! Kill me if you dare! Gutless Chinese! Even if you kill me, I die in the line of duty! Millions in compensation for my family. But you? Do you think you can escape Washington? Escape the United States? Even if you did, wouldn’t your precious little country suffer the consequences?”

“Consequences your fucking aunt!” Another crushing punch slammed into the idiot’s face. Tang Chen hissed through gritted teeth. “The reason Young Master hasn’t ended you isn’t fear! It’s because I want you to watch your beloved Pentagon crumble! I want you and your fortress buried together!”

After uttering this, Tang Chen ripped the belt straight from Jackson’s pants. He hoisted Jackson’s body like a sack of poultry, hauled him towards the window, and smashed the glass. He looped the belt around Jackson, tying him securely to the window’s iron bars.

“Free me! Kill me if you have the balls!” Jackson screeched, the humiliation unbearable for a man of his lofty rank – the Minister of the fucking Department of Defense!

“Shut the fuck up!” Tang Chen delivered a savage kick to Jackson’s groin. The idiot’s eyes rolled back instantly as darkness swallowed him.

Tang Chen strode into the inner chamber of Jackson’s office. A computer sat on the desk there. Mentally, he called upon the System. “System, the Pentagon’s fortress-like, right? Ordinary explosives couldn’t level it, could they?”

System: “Respected Host, theoretically, yes. Not only is destruction unlikely, acquiring that volume of explosives in such time is impossible.”

“Mmm,” Tang Chen grunted, his voice icy calm. “True. That idiot said the FBI is now engaged with Yuanyang’s group. She and the others likely won’t hold out long. Need to figure out a solution quickly… and then rescue them. But how?”

He was frustrated. Killing? Simple, natural even. But demolishing the Pentagon? This wasn’t a feat fists could achieve. It required serious firepower – a colossal stack of bombs!

“Say, System,” a thought sparked suddenly. “If memory serves, isn’t this the Big Nose Defense HQ? If it’s a military base like the Department of Defense, shouldn’t they stockpile things like… rockets?” His eyes narrowed with cunning realization. A real military base. They must have missiles. Actual missiles! Why waste time scrounging for bombs? Talk about blindness in the very shadow of the objective itself!

The System knew his Host’s mind. “Respected Host, please think carefully,” it warned with a hint of resignation. “If you unleash heavy ordnance like rockets… this situation will truly explode in scale.”

“And what? It isn’t huge already?” Tang Chen snapped back irritably. “You asshole knew this could turn into a monumental headache, yet you still hit me with this ‘blow up the Pentagon’ ultimate mission? Fine! We play for ALL the marbles then! The higher-ups did say to cut loose. The nation covers everything.”

Somewhere in Zhongnanhai, the old man who signed off on this mission might have felt a profound pang of regret if he knew Tang Chen was fully prepared to light the entire fuse.

The System didn’t argue further. After a heavy pause, it said: “Respected Host, if you wish to go big… then let it be big. First, please power on the computer. Allow this System to commence intrusion.”

“Mmm.” Tang Chen switched Jackson’s terminal on. Password cracking? Child’s play for the System. Barely had the Apple logo faded when the screen plunged into darkness, only to reboot into a surreal interface.

“Respected Host, fortune favors you,” the System announced. “This System penetrated Jackson’s OS. Located a program within – a remote-control interface for missiles hosted at the nearby Zeetown Military Base. Use this program, and you can remotely command a missile strike… anywhere. The ordnance in question is what your humans call an AA missile.”

“Anti-Aircraft Missile?” Tang Chen’s lips curled into a savage grin. “How… ironic. Jackson! Didn’t your boss promise reinforcements? Excellent! Young Master will ensure they witness the Pentagon burn before their very eyes!”

Tang Chen issued the command decisively. Speed was everything now. Every second the approaching reinforcements drew closer was trouble compounded; every moment Yuanyang fought was agony multiplied. “System! You can manipulate that program to launch, right? Target that AA missile here! I’m using a missile made by the Big Noses to blast their own Pentagon sky-high!”

System: “Respected Host, this System can initiate missile launch. However… flight time is barely sixty seconds. Are you utterly confident you can clear the Pentagon within that minute?”

The System’s worry was obvious. Failure meant becoming collateral damage – the ultimate poetic justice gone horribly wrong.

“Relax,” Tang Chen declared, brimming with audacity. “Young Master’s escape plan is flawless. Just remind me… seconds before impact. No time to dither! Execute NOW!”
