Tang Chen took Wang Baobao and got into the Extravagant Battle Car. As he started the car, he asked her, “Where do you want to go first to have fun?”
Wang Baobao glanced at him and mumbled without saying anything clearly.
Tang Chen remembered something, his face darkened for a moment, and he said, “When I told you not to talk carelessly, that doesn’t mean you can’t talk at all. You can speak now.”
Wang Baobao gave Tang Chen a resentful look. Then she said, “You’re really so mean. How can you be so harsh to a cute girl like me? I bet you’re a single dog.”
Tang Chen was stunned. He cursed angrily, “Damn it, this Young Master is not a single dog. My wife is much prettier than you.”
Wang Baobao pouted; this little girl really didn’t hold back when arguing: “I know, I know. You don’t need to explain. I know your wife is inflatable.”
“Shut up!” Tang Chen was so angry he almost wanted to pull the steering wheel right off; this girl’s words were really infuriating. What did she mean by his wife being inflatable? Was she looking down on him like that?
Wang Baobao opened her mouth to say something else when she saw Tang Chen glaring at her fiercely, then threatening her by saying, “If you keep talking nonsense, this Young Master will throw you right out of the car. I mean what I say. Other than my wife, I have no intention of being gentle with any other woman.”
Wang Baobao seemed to be scared by Tang Chen. She pouted and didn’t say anything more, then rubbed her little tummy and said, “Take me to eat first. I’m starving.”
Tang Chen twitched his mouth and, without another word, took the girl to a restaurant to eat.
Tang Chen was only focused on driving and didn’t notice that behind his car, a black sedan was following not too far and not too close.
Inside the car sat four men. The leader was a bald man with a scarred face, who looked fierce and menacing. The other three didn’t look like good people either.
The scarred face took out a mobile phone and made a call. Once the call connected, he said respectfully, “Boss, we’ve followed the little girl to Z City now, but there’s a small problem.”
A deep voice came from the other end of the phone, asking coldly, “What problem? Did you lose her?”
The scarred face quickly said, “No, Boss. It’s just that the girl was picked up by another young guy. Should we wait until she’s alone before we make a move?”
There was a brief silence on the other end, then the icy voice said, “Scarface, Young Master didn’t give us much time. Do you understand?”
Scarface felt his heart tighten suddenly and cautiously replied, “Yes, Boss. I understand. Please wait for my good news.”
Although the Boss didn’t say it directly, the meaning was clear. Scarface had been following the Boss for several years; if he couldn’t figure out what his Boss meant, he wouldn’t have survived safely until now.
“Brother, what did the Boss say?” a yellow-haired man called out from behind. He was holding a handgun.
“Kill them all, no exceptions!” Scarface said coldly, stepping on the gas to chase after them again.
Tang Chen took Wang Baobao to a Sichuan hotpot restaurant. They didn’t get a Private Room and just sat at a table outside to eat.
“Wow, so much delicious food.” Wang Baobao clearly was a foodie; she couldn’t contain her excitement upon seeing all the tasty dishes.
Tang Chen smiled rather helplessly; this girl was quite simple-minded. He asked, “Wang Baobao, why can’t you just stay at home properly? Aren’t you going to school?”
Wang Baobao took a bite of mutton and said indistinctly, “School? You must be joking. I already have a master’s degree. Who would still go to school?”
Pfft!
Tang Chen almost spat out the soda he had just sipped. He said in disbelief, “Wang Baobao, you’re joking, right? How old are you to already have a master’s degree? Do you think it’s that easy to get a master’s degree these days?”
Wang Baobao frowned unhappily; she felt looked down upon. Putting down her chopsticks, she said very displeased, “What do you mean? You don’t believe me, do you? Fine, I’ll prove it to you.” As she spoke, she pulled out a slingshot from her bag and placed it in front of Tang Chen.
Tang Chen gave it an exasperated look and said, “Wang Baobao, are you sure you’re not a clown sent by monkeys? I think not only is your education fake, but your IQ is also lacking.”
“You don’t know anything!” Wang Baobao ungracefully cursed, then explained somewhat proudly, “This young lady studied electronic computer science; I’m into scientific inventions. Take this thing in front of you, for example. You think it’s a slingshot? Dead wrong—it’s a crossbow!”
“A crossbow?” Tang Chen openly laughed at her, bending over with laughter, and said quite speechlessly, “Wang Baobao, have you watched too much Detective Conan? You’re telling me this slingshot is a crossbow? Not everyone who wears a watch can shoot anesthetic needles.”
“You don’t believe me? Fine, I’ll show you!” Wang Baobao felt her pride was being challenged. She stood up directly and domineeringly aimed the slingshot at a man’s hand. She pulled back the rubber band and released it. Tang Chen was shocked to see a short arrow shoot out.
What the hell, how did that happen? Was he seeing things? How could this little girl’s slingshot shoot a short arrow?

“Damn it, what’s going on!” The man had been secretly trying to put his wandering hand under his girlfriend’s skirt, but the short arrow struck the table leg right between his legs, scaring him half to death.
“Who the hell did that? Is this some kind of dart game?” the man roared as he stood up, feeling absolutely furious inside.
“It was him!” Wang Baobao screamed, instantly drawing everyone’s attention. Tang Chen looked at the slingshot that had somehow appeared in front of him and heard Wang Baobao’s bell-like laughter. He finally realized—Wang Baobao had tricked him!
Before this, Tang Chen had never imagined he could be outsmarted by a little girl like Wang Baobao, but now he understood: this girl was even better at playing tricks than he was.
Just because he had looked down on Wang Baobao a few times, she had to mess with him like this. Her level of pettiness really rivaled the System’s.
“System, this Young Master strongly suspects that Wang Baobao is your long-lost sister. Otherwise, she couldn’t be as shameless as you.”
Tang Chen was so mad he had no other outlet. He couldn’t hit Wang Baobao, so he vented his anger on the System. The System, unfairly taking the blame, felt really wronged.
“So, you’re looking for trouble, huh? I’ve got no beef with you; why did you shoot a hidden arrow at me?” The man stormed over, feeling like his lungs were about to explode from rage.
Tang Chen stood up awkwardly and said, “Hey, bro, can you let me explain? It’s not what you think…”
“Explain my ass! I’m not your bro! I was sitting here peacefully having my meal. Why did you attack me? Tell me, how are you going to handle this—through the law or privately?” The man gave Tang Chen no chance to explain, yelling right away and spraying spit all over Tang Chen’s face.
Just as Tang Chen was about to lose his temper, he saw Scarface and his men enter. Scarface first scanned the room left and right, and when he spotted Tang Chen and Wang Baobao, all four pulled out handguns from their coats and aimed at Wang Baobao, firing.
“Damn it, watch out!” Tang Chen forcefully kicked the man aside, then lunged over and grabbed Wang Baobao, rolling on the ground with her. At the same time, gunshots rang out, shattering the bowls, chopsticks, and cups on the table into a mess.
“Ah! They’re killing people!” someone screamed, and the customers immediately panicked, some crouching down, others throwing their wallets.

Scarface fired a warning shot and said to one of his men, “Go check; we might have missed!”
“Yes, Big Brother!” the killer replied, then headed toward Tang Chen and Wang Baobao’s table, gun in hand.
Tang Chen and Wang Baobao were now hiding under the table. Thanks to the tablecloth, they were completely hidden from view.
Wang Baobao blinked, her mouth covered by Tang Chen to keep her quiet. Tang Chen whispered in her ear, “Don’t be afraid. These guys are probably after me. Don’t worry, I’ll definitely get you out of here.”
