Chapter 19: I Don’t Want to Go Home Tonight
Chapter 19: I Don’t Want to Go Home Tonight
The Three Little Ones became popular again. It seemed hard not to be popular when they could sing lyrics like that. Tang Chen bought them just to mess with them, and once his goal was achieved, he naturally let them go.
Since their idols had left, the fans also left with their shattered hearts. Before leaving, their eyes seemed to firmly imprint Tang Chen and the Junyue Hotel in their memories. They probably would never come back to this sad place, Junyue, again.
Later, the fate of the Three Little Ones turned rather tragic. Without the protection of their agency and agent, they became homeless strays. They had to become online streamers on some internet platform, singing and acting cute every day. Although their lives were much shabbier than before, it was still better than cleaning toilets.
With everything successfully resolved, Tang Chen and Yang Mi left the hotel under the admiring gazes of all the employees. Tang Chen said to Yang Mi, “Beautiful Yang Mi, it still seems early now. Do you have any plans? Should I take you home?”
Yang Mi was still a bit dazed. Hearing Tang Chen’s question, she deliberately avoided his gaze, twisted the hem of her clothes with both hands, and said, “I don’t want to go home yet. Can you go for a walk with me?”
Tang Chen hummed in agreement and grinned mischievously, “Normally, I really hate pointless walks, but if I’m walking with you, it’s different. I’d be willing to walk as long as you want.”
Yang Mi’s face turned red, and she spat in mock anger, saying shyly, “You just know how to sweet-talk me. I wonder how many girls you’ve said that to.”
It was already past seven in the evening, and the streetlights had just lit up. Tang Chen and Yang Mi stood under a lamppost, the light shining on Yang Mi’s face, making her delicate skin look especially bright and captivating.
Tang Chen’s gaze drifted downward, scanning Yang Mi’s lovely legs beneath her short skirt. He nearly got a nosebleed. No, no, he couldn’t keep looking, or he wouldn’t be able to control himself.
Seeing that Tang Chen hadn’t answered her, Yang Mi looked up at him questioningly and happened to catch him staring intently at her legs. Her face instantly flushed crimson. She stopped walking, stamped her foot, and said coquettishly, “Tang Chen, stop looking at me so lustfully. I can tell you’re thinking about something not suitable for kids.”
Tang Chen exclaimed, and without thinking, blurted out, “No, I wasn’t thinking about how comfortable it would feel to have your legs wrapped around my waist—ah, no! My brain just short-circuited. Can you pretend you didn’t hear that?”
Tang Chen felt utterly embarrassed for saying out loud what was on his mind. Finished, finished—his integrity was completely gone now.
The System also said helplessly, “Respected Host, this System thinks knowing you is pretty embarrassing.”
Tang Chen had no retort. Meanwhile, Yang Mi glared at him angrily. His blatant words made her heart skip a few beats.
Yang Mi scolded, “All you men think with your lower halves. You creep, you jerk.”
Tang Chen was so awkward; he could only force a dry laugh and say, “Yang Mi, you can’t generalize like that. Other men might be like that, but I’m definitely not. I’m very pure—I’m still a virgin.”
Yang Mi’s mouth twitched, and her face darkened as she said, “Your lecherousness doesn’t seem related to whether you’re a virgin or not.”
Tang Chen really wanted to slap himself. How useless—why did he always say the wrong thing when he was with a beautiful girl? Now he had definitely made Yang Mi angry.
Fortunately, Yang Mi wasn’t the type to hold a grudge easily. Her eyes shifted, and she said quietly, “Tang Chen, the reason I came out to eat with you is that I think you’re a decent person. But don’t say things that take advantage of me, or I won’t pay attention to you anymore.”
First rule of dating: when a girl is willing to forgive your nonsense, it means you have a chance.
Tang Chen grabbed Yang Mi’s hand and said earnestly, “Yang Mi, I’m not taking advantage of you. I really like you. I liked you the first time I saw you, but I was too poor and had no confidence, so I didn’t dare tell you.”
This sudden confession made Yang Mi immediately lower her head. She tried to pull her hand away but couldn’t. Her heart raced as she said, “Don’t joke with me, Tang Chen. You bought Junyue and the Three Little Ones—how can you say you’re poor? If I’m not mistaken, you must be from some wealthy family, pretending to be poor to play with my feelings, right?”
Tang Chen shook his head, pulled Yang Mi firmly into his embrace, and said softly, “No, Yang Mi, I really was a loser—at least until two days ago. I never meant to deceive you. I’ve always liked you, but I was afraid you’d reject me, so I kept it to myself.”
Tang Chen was telling the truth. After all, who wouldn’t like a beauty like Yang Mi? But back then, he was just a loser who couldn’t offer her happiness. Now it was different—who could top him now? He had turned his life around and didn’t want to miss his chance with Yang Mi.
Seeing the sincerity in his eyes and that he didn’t seem to be lying, Yang Mi actually believed him a little. She whispered, “Then if you were a loser before, how did you suddenly become so rich now?”
Tang Chen smiled wryly and said, “Yang Mi, I can’t tell you that. But what I can say is that every cent I have is clean. Whether you believe me or not, if you don’t like me, just pretend I said nothing tonight.”
He absolutely couldn’t reveal the System; Yang Mi wouldn’t believe it anyway. Better to act carefree than to explain.
After saying this, Tang Chen pushed Yang Mi away and turned to leave. At that moment, Yang Mi’s small hand tightly grabbed his.
Her face showed a deeply shy expression, her eyes sparkling as she glanced at him. She said softly, “I believe you. I don’t want to go home tonight.”
When a woman tells you she doesn’t want to go home tonight, any man can guess what she means. Tang Chen, with his high emotional intelligence, immediately understood. He felt both nervous and excited as he said, “Let’s go to a hotel.”
About ten minutes later, inside a hotel room, Tang Chen and Yang Mi pushed open the door and entered. Yang Mi was held by Tang Chen, her legs wrapped around his waist. Gazing at him affectionately, she said, “You have to take responsibility for me. I’m not just playing around.”
“Neither am I.” Tang Chen nodded solemnly, then kissed her red lips. He laid her on the bed, took off her shoes, gently unbuttoned her top, and kissed her fair skin.
Yang Mi held his hand, her eyes seductive, and murmured, “It’s my first time. Be gentle.”
Tang Chen instantly became wild with desire, tore off his own clothes, and pounced on her.
In his mind, the System appeared in a human-like manner, covering its eyes with a hand, and sighed, “Not suitable for kids. Respected Host, you’re setting a bad example for elementary school students.”
And so, beautiful music began to play in the room. Yang Mi let out a pained moan, and a blush spread across the bedsheet.
Two hours later, Tang Chen finally finished his “assignment.” Satisfied, he held Yang Mi and gently kissed her eyelashes.
Yang Mi felt as if her whole body had fallen apart. As a first-timer, how could she withstand Tang Chen’s wolf-like energy? She had surrendered as early as the first round.
Tang Chen felt as if it were all a dream. Just a few days ago, he was a nobody and never imagined he could sleep with Yang Mi. But it had really happened.
“Tang Chen, what’s wrong?” Yang Mi asked, noticing Tang Chen’s distracted look.
Tang Chen snapped out of it, smiled, and said, “It’s nothing. I just suddenly feel it’s unbelievable—I actually slept with the class belle.”
Yang Mi’s face turned red again. She pinched him lightly and said, “What do you mean ‘slept with’? Watch your words, you annoying guy.”
Tang Chen chuckled, kissed her again, and said seriously, “Don’t worry, Yang Mi. From now on, you’re my woman. I will definitely take responsibility for you.”
