Chapter 163: Killing a Bear with One Punch

The System said disappointedly, “Respected Host, you made this System so disappointed. How could you fall down twice in a row due to a woman?”

Tang Chen’s face darkened. He said, “Why so much nonsense? Do you think now is the time for you to make sarcastic remarks?”

Tang Chen felt the System was doing it on purpose. It could have taken over his body early on. But it waited until Li Chunhui had almost tortured him to death before making a move. This System just wanted to see him make a fool of himself.

“Damn, that woman also deserved to die. I just don’t know where this place is,” Tang Chen angrily gave Li Chunhui’s corpse another kick. Then he took out his mobile phone to call Yang Mi, but found there was no signal.

This place actually had no signal? Did this woman drag him into the mountains?

Wang Xiaocai said, “My family lives here. Not just that, my uncle and my grandpa also live here.”

This was a rather poor village, or you could say it was a small isolated village. The people here didn’t have advanced transportation. For travel, they mostly used ox carts, or a slightly better one was a tractor. Each household had a black-and-white television. Since there was no signal base here, there weren’t even telephones.

Wang Xiaocai’s parents were honest farmers. After learning that Tang Chen had saved Wang Xiaocai, the whole family thanked him profusely. Hearing that Tang Chen was lost, they offered that Wang Fu would take him to the town tomorrow.

Tang Chen couldn’t refuse their warm hospitality, so he decided to stay overnight. He hoped Yang Mi wouldn’t worry too much about him.

By evening, cooking smoke rose from each household, creating a peaceful and harmonious atmosphere in the rural village.
