Chapter 16: I Want to Buy These Three
Chapter 16: I Want to Buy These Three
This statement silenced the previously noisy fans instantly. Then, they automatically parted into two rows. A black van stopped, and a woman agent in her thirties got out first. Seeing so many fans on both sides, she looked quite pleased.
“Thank you all for coming to Yuanyuan’s birthday party! Now, let’s welcome Yuanyuan, Kaikai, and Daxi!” As the agent finished speaking, three teenagers stepped out of the van. They were dressed in sharp black suits, with shiny, slicked-back hair. These three were the Dung-scooping Teens trio: Zhang Yuan, Wang Kai, Jiang Daxi.
Zhang Yuan, the team leader, walked at the front. The other two teens trailed behind him, all smiles, waving to the fans on both sides with every step. It felt damn fancy, almost like walking on a red carpet.
“Wow! Our Daxi looks so handsome today!”
“Are you blind? Zhang Yuan is clearly more handsome!”
“Rise, Yuanzi! We’ll always be with you! If you never leave, we’ll live and die together!”
“Fans warmly wish Yuan Yuan a happy birthday!”
The fans practically screamed their idols’ names, seeming even more excited than if they saw their own mothers. Passersby stopped and watched, some shaking their heads, others recording videos. Society was really declining— just look at how crazy fans became over stars these days.
Tang Chen’s face darkened. These jerks were clearly treating his hotel entrance like their own personal red carpet. Ugh. Absolutely unacceptable!
By now, the Dung-scooping Teens had finished their big entrance. They reached the steps of the hotel and were about to walk up when Tang Chen made a sweeping gesture with his hand and yelled, “This is my hotel! You idiots think this is the Cannes Film Festival? All this noise is ruining the city’s image! What about my scared-off guests? How do you fix that?”
The agent walked over, her tone unfriendly. “You’re the owner?”
Tang Chen glanced at her. “Yeah, I’m the owner here. Got a problem?”
The agent gestured to the three teens beside her. “Do you recognize these children?”
Tang Chen curled his lip. “Sure do. Aren’t they the so-called Dung-scooping Teens?”
Snort!
Yang Mi, standing behind Tang Chen, couldn’t help bursting into laughter. Manager Pang and the others soon followed, roaring with laughter. Serves you right! You thought just bringing three kids around gave you free rein? Young Master Tang doesn’t even give you the time of day!
“How rude!” The agent fumed. “How can you speak like that? Do you believe I’ll sue you for defaming our artists?” She was furious. She’d thought revealing the Three Little Ones would intimidate him. But clearly, this man didn’t show any respect for her boys.
“You’re so cruel. How can you insult children like this?”
“This hotel owner is awful! How does anyone like him deserve to run a place like the Junyue?” The loyal fans stood firmly with their idols. Hearing their treasures insulted again was too much to bear.
Tang Chen gave a cold, dismissive laugh. “Defame their reputation? What good’s an artist’s reputation worth? You realize your little fan meeting scared off how many hotel guests? Can you even afford to pay for my losses?”
“You’re vulgar!” the agent replied with scorn.
“Vulgar? Damn right. Sounds like you think you’re above us. If you weren’t vulgar yourselves, why exploit your fans? Damn birthdays with rocket gifts and renting out whole hotels— talk about over-the-top!” Tang Chen sneered. No one outtalked him when it came to arguing logic.
“Y-you… you’re twisting things!” The agent stammered. “We never asked our fans to prepare gifts! They do it voluntarily! Isn’t that right?” She quickly turned to the fans for backup. Exploiting fans was a controversial topic. If word got out, the carefully crafted image of Tianyu’s Three Little Ones could be destroyed.
“Yeah! How dare you accuse them of exploiting us? They’re way too young to understand those things!”
“This is totally our choice!”
“We’re happy to spend money supporting our precious babies! Mind your own business!”
Brainless fans lived up to their name. When it came to their idols, they’d admit they just ate dung if told to.
The Dung-scooping Teens flashed smug grins at Tang Chen. See? This is the power of our fanbase!
Tang Chen couldn’t be bothered with these obsessive fans. He waved his hand dismissively. “I’m done wasting words. You got two choices: get your Dung-scooping Teens out now, or I call Security to throw you out.”
The agent shot Zhang Yuan a meaningful look. Zhang Yuan immediately understood. Turning to the fans with a pitiful expression, he said, “I’m sorry, everyone. I was so arrogant. I never should have mentioned wanting to rent the Junyue Hotel for my birthday. I caused this mess. They’ve got money and power; we’re outmatched here. Let’s just forget it. And maybe never mention birthday dinners again?”
Tang Chen watched coolly. The kid was pulling the ‘woe is me’ act. Ugh. He hadn’t planned to draw this out, but they’d forced his hand. No mercy now!
Zhang Yuan’s awful acting worked. The fans exploded like a boiling kettle, instantly riled up.
“Don’t cry, Yuanyuan! We’ll always support you!”
“Exactly! This is a nation ruled by law, not by the rich!”
“Damn it! They dare bully our Yuanyuan? Let’s rally every fan! We’ll fight back! Boycott the Junyue Hotel!”
“Boycott the Junyue Hotel! Make it go bankrupt!”
“Had enough screaming yet, idiots?” Tang Chen shouted again. He ordered Pang beside him, sharply, “Old Pang! Get the troops ready. Whoever refuses to leave gets an electrified escort home. I’ll cover the consequences.”
“Yes, Sir!” Old Pang was furious too. He barked at the security guards behind him. “What are you staring at? You heard Young Master! Deal with these reckless fools!”
Buzz! Crackle!
Multiple stun batons flared to life in an instant, awaiting orders.
Tang Chen pointed at the agent, oozing authority. “One. Last. Chance. Take your Dung-scooping Teens and leave now. Or leave in an ambulance.”
“You… you bully!” The agent yelled, trembling with rage. She grabbed her mobile phone and dialed her boss at Tianyu Media Co. “Sir! We’ve got a major problem here!”
Ouyang, CEO of Tianyu Media, sounded annoyed on the other end. “Problem? Aren’t you at Junyue celebrating TF’s birthday? How’d trouble find you there?”
The agent glared daggers at Tang Chen. “Sir, the Junyue Hotel blocked us at the entrance. They’re not letting us in. More than that — they threatened to beat us up with stun batons!”
“What?! Give the phone to their manager,” Ouyang commanded.
The agent swallowed hard, cautiously stepping forward. “Our… our CEO demands to speak with you!”
“Hmph! Let’s see what nonsense he spins.” Tang Chen took the phone, unimpressed. “Are you the boss of the Dung-scooping Teens?”
He wasn’t the only one stunned. The agent nearly fell over. Manager Pang silently lifted a thumb. Unreal. Young Master Tang— peerlessly arrogant and domineering.
Ouyang felt a spark of irritation but held his tongue. Junyue had powerful connections. “Hello. I am Ouyang, CEO of Tianyu Media. They are our debut idol group.”
Tang Chen gave an acknowledging hum. “Perfect they’re yours. I already dislike them intensely. Let’s discuss their future.”
Ouyang paused, surprised. “Sir… I apologize if anything they did offended you. My agent reported they were trying to enter Junyue Hotel to hold TF’s birthday celebration, yet you stopped them. Would you clarify why?”
Tang Chen liked this boss’s respectful tone. You showed him courtesy? He showed it back. That was his rule.
His voice softened slightly. “Simple, Mr. Ouyang. Junyue Hotel is… a hotel. Clients dine here for reputation and ambiance. Yet your teen star entourage and those stupid fans demanded I kick all guests out? Just so this Zhang Yuan gets a flashy birthday? Ridiculous or stupid? Which is it?”
Ouyang grasped the issue instantly. “Understood. Apologies — truly. We had no warning about fans organizing this gathering. But yes, my agents were reckless. I will discipline him severely.”
Tang Chen nodded. He glanced at the trio. A sudden gleam flashed in his eyes. He had an idea. “Mr. Ouyang… these Dung-scooping Teens must earn you mountains of cash, right?”
Ouyang choked at the abrupt sensitive query. He forced a laugh. “One works harder than most, yes… May I ask why?”
Tang Chen’s lips curled upward. His next words came out calm. “Simple. I want to buy all three for myself. Will you sell?”
Silence. Every single jaw dropped, stunned. Had they heard right? This man… wanted to buy the Dung-scooping Teens? He must be psychotic!
Manager Pang’s shock lasted only seconds before a knowing smile spread. He remembered the day Tang Chen bought his hotel for Five Billion yuan— furious over disrespect. Who else… but Young Master Tang… could be so wild?
