Chapter 151: A Girl Falls from the Sky
Chapter 151: A Girl Falls from the Sky
“Young Master Sun!” Brother Hao shouted. The other four bodyguards were also shocked. Nobody expected that the young man, who had been chatting and laughing with Young Master Sun just a second ago, would suddenly attack.
“Die!” After hitting Young Master Sun with an ashtray, Tang Chen quickly wrapped his arm around his neck and then threw his body toward the four bodyguards charging at him.
Bang!
The four bodyguards dared not harm Young Master Sun and used their own bodies to cushion his impact. Brother Hao let out a roar and threw a powerful punch at Tang Chen.
Tang Chen did not care about such a foolish attack. He kicked the glass table in front of him, sending it flying toward Brother Hao. The table struck Brother Hao squarely. Tang Chen then leaped up and delivered another kick, shattering the center of the glass table. With a loud crash, glass fragments flew everywhere. The immense force of the kick sent Brother Hao crashing into the wall, where he fell to the ground and did not get up.
In the blink of an eye, Tang Chen had taken down Brother Hao. By now, the four bodyguards had helped Young Master Sun to his feet. Without even glancing at Brother Hao, Young Master Sun waved his hand and said, “This guy is not Young Master Ou’s friend. Take him out!”
The four bodyguards shouted in acknowledgment and then drew daggers from their waists. Yelling, they charged at Tang Chen from four different directions. Unfazed and without any intention of dodging, Tang Chen calmly reached out and grabbed one bodyguard’s dagger. Under the bodyguard’s horrified gaze, he snapped the sharp blade in two. He then delivered a kick to another bodyguard’s ribs. With a sickening crack, the unfortunate bodyguard cried out in pain and collapsed to the ground.
Tang Chen moved swiftly. After taking down two bodyguards in an instant, he leaped into the air and slammed his foot into the third bodyguard’s temple. Using the momentum from the kick, he launched himself into the air and delivered a heavy punch to the last bodyguard’s chest. That bodyguard spat out blood, his ribs shattered, and his eyes bulged out.
“Tang Chen, that guy is trying to run!” Liu Yanran exclaimed. There was no need for her to intervene anymore—Tang Chen was simply too skilled in combat. These people were no match for him.
Tang Chen’s cold eyes narrowed as he saw Young Master Sun tiptoeing toward the door, attempting to escape. Tang Chen casually picked up a dagger and, with a swift throw, sent it flying through the air. It embedded itself in Young Master Sun’s leg. Young Master Sun let out a sharp cry and collapsed flat on the ground.
“Idiot, thinking you can escape in front of Young Master.” Tang Chen sneered, dusted off his hands, and walked over to one of the still-breathing bodyguards. He stomped on the bodyguard’s neck, and the man died on the spot without even a whimper.
“Tang Chen, are you okay?” Liu Yanran was no delicate, timid girl. As a police officer, she had witnessed life-and-death situations many times and was not afraid.
Tang Chen shook his head and said, “I’m fine. It’s just that killing someone in front of a police officer like you isn’t exactly proper. I hope you won’t arrest me.”
Liu Yanran ignored Tang Chen’s teasing and rolled her eyes. “Stop talking nonsense. Let’s check if that guy is dead or not.”
Tang Chen grunted in acknowledgment and stopped joking. He walked over to Young Master Sun, placed his foot on the man’s face, and said disdainfully, “Old fool, stop pretending to be dead. Get up now.”
Young Master Sun grimaced and groaned, struggling to lift his head. He said coldly, “Who are you people? Why are you causing trouble in my place?”
Bang!
Tang Chen delivered another heavy kick to Young Master Sun’s head, spat on his face, and said coldly, “You scum, Young Master’s identity is not for you to know. But I can tell you who this beautiful lady beside me is. She’s the deputy captain of the police department’s criminal investigation team. Scared now?”
Liu Yanran knew it was time to reveal her identity. She took out her police badge from her pocket and said sternly, “I am Liu Yanran, deputy captain of the criminal investigation team. I suspect you are involved in the recent drug trafficking case in this city. Please come with me to the police station to assist in the investigation.”
Tang Chen chimed in, “Police Sister, your police methods are outdated. Why say you suspect this idiot is involved in drug trafficking? It’s obvious he did it. Didn’t he just take out Ecstasy Pills in front of you? What’s there to investigate? Just take him to the execution ground and shoot him.”
Liu Yanran was a bit exasperated. “Tang Chen, could you learn a little about the law? In his situation, the worst he’ll get is a prison sentence. It’s not severe enough for execution.”
Tang Chen grinned cruelly and turned to Young Master Sun, sneering, “Idiot, Young Master remembers you said earlier that you had hundreds of grams of stock here, right? Now tell me, where are they?”
Young Master Sun sneered disdainfully, enduring the pain as he said, “Do you think I’m an idiot? If I don’t talk, I’ll only be locked up for a while. But if I do talk, I’ll never get out.”
“Oh ho, you’re quite clever, you fool.” Tang Chen clicked his tongue and then winked at Liu Yanran. “Police Sister, why don’t you step out for a moment? Call your colleagues to come here and arrest people or whatever. I have something to discuss privately with this scumbag.”
Liu Yanran knew Tang Chen probably intended to interrogate him forcefully. She didn’t oppose his method but advised, “Just don’t go too far. After all, this guy still needs to stand trial.” With that, she closed the door and left.
The moment the door closed, the smile vanished from Tang Chen’s face. He said coldly to Young Master Sun, “Idiot, Young Master is giving you one last chance. Will you talk, or do you want to die?”
“Pah! I’ve been in this business for over ten years. You think I’m scared of you? If you want to kill me, just do it!” Young Master Sun put on a brave face, likely betting that Tang Chen wouldn’t dare kill him with Liu Yanran around.
“Playing tough, huh?” Tang Chen made a clicking sound with his tongue and sneered, “I have to say, you really won’t give up until you’re facing death. Police Sister is outside, so Young Master naturally won’t kill you. But there are plenty of things in this world worse than death. For example, a living hell!” As he spoke, Tang Chen crouched down and pulled the dagger out of Young Master Sun’s leg. Blood spurted out like a fountain.
“Young Master has OCD. Whether I kill someone or do anything else, I insist on perfection. That stab earlier wasn’t perfect. I need to do it again.” With that, he forcefully plunged the dagger back into the wound.
“Ah!” Young Master Sun let out a hysterical scream. Even Liu Yanran, outside the door, shuddered upon hearing it. Tang Chen seemed to be hitting hard.
More than an hour later, it was finally over. Tang Chen walked out of the Night Charm Bar. Using his pursuit of perfection as an excuse, he had stabbed Young Master Sun’s wound over thirty times. Even Iron Man wouldn’t be able to endure that. Young Master Sun would probably be disabled even if he made it to prison.
Liu Yanran’s mission was accomplished. The cleanup work was now up to the police, and there was no point in her staying any longer, so she left first.
Tang Chen said to the System gloomily, “System, your missions have been getting harder to trigger lately. In the past, something like this would definitely trigger a mission, but today it didn’t. You’re too stingy.”
The System explained somewhat helplessly, “Respected Host, the reason missions were so easy to trigger at the beginning was mainly because you were relatively weak back then. But now, your aura has completely changed. If you were to do those missions now, they would be too simple. That’s why the trigger rate for missions has decreased significantly.”
Tang Chen frowned unhappily and said, “So, you just don’t want to give Young Master free rewards, you bastard.”
“Respected Host, there’s no such thing as a free lunch. If a pie really fell from the sky, would you dare to eat it?” The System’s voice had barely faded when Tang Chen heard a shrill scream above him, so loud it was ear-piercing. He looked up and saw a figure rapidly falling toward him from the roof of the building overhead.
Bang!
Tang Chen instinctively stretched out his arms and caught the falling figure. Taking a closer look, he saw it was a woman in her early twenties. She looked quite innocent, but her disheveled hair made her resemble a ghost.
A thousand curse words raced through Tang Chen’s mind. He exclaimed in disbelief, “Holy shit, no pie fell from the sky, but a girl did.”
