“Why are you so thoughtful today? Did your wife dump you?” Liu Yanran gave Tang Chen a look and spoke coldly.

Tang Chen’s face darkened. He grabbed Liu Yanran’s hand suddenly, pretending to be fierce, and said, “Yes, my wife did dump me. Since the scenery’s nice here, why don’t we find a bush for a wild, intense outdoor adventure?”

“Ouch!” A childish cry caught Tang Chen’s attention. He saw the kite-flying child knocked to the ground by a man in a black trench coat, now crying.

Liu Yanran also walked over indignantly and picked up the fallen little boy, comforting him gently.

“None of your business, scram,” the trench coat man said coldly and then tried to walk straight past.

“I’ll beat you stupid!” Tang Chen got furious. That foolish guy dared to ignore him? Young Master Tang had never been dismissed like that before. It was suicide!

Tang Chen swung his fist at the trench coat man’s face. The man didn’t dodge but punched straight back at Tang Chen’s fist. Their fists collided, and it was Tang Chen who stepped back twice.

“Interesting! But if you don’t apologize today, you’re not leaving!” Tang Chen narrowed his eyes. So this idiot was an expert. After his body had been enhanced, he thought no ordinary person could block his punch. Yet this guy blocked him and made him step back—strange!

“Hmph! Then see if you have what it takes!” the trench coat man grunted. He shot a few fast punches at Tang Chen. When Tang Chen was off guard, he backflipped right over his head.

“Don’t go!” Tang Chen shouted and dashed after him.

“Stop! I’m a Police. Keep running and I’ll shoot!” Liu Yanran lost her temper. The guy was so skilled and rushed off so fast; he might be some bad guy!

Liu Yanran’s yell only startled the other citizens and had no effect. Muttering to herself, she took off after them.

Tang Chen pushed his speed to the max now. He kicked off the railings of the lotus ponds nearby and flew through the air. One hard kick slammed into the trench coat man’s back, the powerful force sending him tumbling into a small river. Then came a gunshot.

Bang!

The sudden gunshot scared the surrounding citizens badly. Liu Yanran caught up next and was slightly stunned. She said, “I never fired my gun. The guy in the river fired!”

Tang Chen murmured yes and thought aloud, “Police Sister, that guy’s an expert. Even when I kicked him into the river, he fired instantly. But why’d he shoot at the river? To hunt fish?”

The First Lady of the province? Liu Yanran wasn’t stupid. With Chen Mingdi saying that, she guessed it—the man’s identity was now obvious.
