Chapter 175: Constitution Four Stars
Chapter 175: Constitution Four Stars
With a whoosh, the Flying Sword moved wildly, like lightning, and cut fiercely towards the giant lion’s head. The burning flames scattered in the wind raised by the sword, splashing in all directions. A large spray of blood flew out, and half of the giant lion’s head was sliced open. It fell heavily to the ground.
The flames on the jungle giant lion gradually went out. Its huge body lay among the trees, with a large pool of blood around it. The blood ignited the dry grass nearby, leaving the area scorched black.
Xu Feng walked forward. The giant lion’s two red eyes remained open, round and unblinking. Though dead, it still gave off a fierce and terrifying presence.
Xu Feng said nothing. He dug out the Beast Crystal and threw a Gathering Art at the lion’s huge body.
A few pieces of lion meat and two lion bones appeared. The giant lion’s body slowly vanished.
The lion meat was for cooking, and the lion bones could be used for alchemy. The Four-Star quality materials were quite valuable.
Xu Feng sighed softly and shook his head slightly. He put away the items. There was no Fate Treasure Chest. Besides, what Xu Feng cared about most was the lion’s fur. This was a giant lion with fire powers; its fur, if used to make equipment, might give fire-related attributes.
After collecting the items, Xu Feng stood up and prepared to leave. But suddenly he noticed the forest had become very quiet. There was no roaring of monsters, not even the sounds of insects or birds. Everything was dead silent.
Xu Feng’s lips curved up slightly. He had experienced this kind of scene countless times in his past life.
“It seems I have become the prey of some monster or a group of monsters. I am already surrounded,” Xu Feng thought. His mind was very calm, but his muscles tensed up.
Holding a Short Spear in one hand and the Flying Sword in the other, Xu Feng stood still, looking around, trying to spot something.
Suddenly, Xu Feng felt a numb sensation. A strong feeling of threat washed over him. His back stung slightly, as if a Sniper Rifle was pressed against his spine. This made him deeply uneasy; life and death seemed out of his control.
His Three-Star Perception told him danger had arrived. His body instinctively moved to dodge.
Xu Feng rolled behind an Ancient Tree.
Boom!
A loud noise erupted. A huge Fireball hit the spot where he had just stood, instantly creating a pit more than a meter wide. Flames raged in the pit, the surroundings turned black, and thick smoke billowed.
Roar!
A deafening lion roar came from not far away.
One…
Two…
Three…
Three adult giant lions emerged from the woods, their bodies covered in blazing flames.
When these fire-powered giant lions ignited flames on their bodies, it meant they were ready to fight—it was their battle stance.
Three jungle flame giant lions with Four-Star Strength?
Xu Feng furrowed his brow and tightened his grip on the Flying Sword.
The forest’s silence was broken. Waves of killing intent rose sharply. The three giant lions had seen Xu Feng kill the other lion, but they were too far away to help in time. Now they had arrived, and it was enough if they could kill this human.
Boom!
Boom!
Boom!
Three Fireballs, like rockets with burning tails, screamed through the air toward Xu Feng.
The Fireballs struck the big tree where Xu Feng was hiding. The tree, tens of meters tall, broke in half. Flames fiercely burned, quickly turning the remaining stump into charcoal.
Xu Feng was agile. Before the Fireballs hit the tree, he had already dodged away. His Four-Star Agility Attribute allowed him to easily avoid such attacks.
Whoosh!
A silver spear sparkling with electricity flew out from the woods. The mane on one giant lion’s neck suddenly stood up, each hair like a needle. The beast’s instinct told it something terrifying was coming for it, as if a primal beast had targeted it as prey.
Roar!
The panicked lion roared at the sky. It didn’t know what danger approached, but it wanted to scare the threat away with its roar.
A silver flash passed. A Short Spear appeared in the lion’s neck, shining with dazzling electric light.
The spear pierced deep. Though it didn’t go all the way through, most of the spear was inside the lion’s body.
Zap!
Electric current ran through its entire body. A lightning damage number of 120 points appeared above its head.
The other two giant lions roared and pounced toward Xu Feng.
“Flying Sword, slash!”
Xu Feng swung the Flying Sword, creating arcs of sword light that flashed briefly like fine rain. These sword rays carried a terrifying aura, capable of cutting metal and jade. The two flame-covered lions kept spurting blood, which splashed on the grass, setting it ablaze.
Swift Wind Thrust!
Xu Feng’s figure suddenly split into three, all charging toward the lion on the left. The lion looked confused, unable to tell which was real.
Before it could react, waves of sharp pain reached its brain. The lion became furious and was about to counterattack when it heard a loud explosion. Its large head blew apart, brain matter splattering like lava.
The other lion swiped its claw at Xu Feng’s back. Xu Feng couldn’t dodge in time, so he twisted slightly to avoid a vital hit. The flaming lion claw struck Xu Feng’s left arm. Blood splattered, and a flame burst from the wound, sizzling as it burned the skin.
Xu Feng frowned and turned, slashing his sword at the lion.
Clang! The Flying Sword met the lion’s claw. The lion let out a miserable cry. Its large paw, still on fire, separated from its body and fell to the ground.
Storm of Blows!
He unleashed the Drizzle Sword Technique. The sword light became even more chaotic. The lion roared repeatedly but struggled helplessly like a headless fly in the dense, thread-like rays of sword light.
“Die!”
Xu Feng leaped up like an agile panther. His long sword, like Fangs, stabbed fiercely into the lion’s neck.
Thud!
Crack!
The blade pierced in, severing the spine. The lion’s head rolled away, and its body crashed to the ground.
Xu Feng looked up. The other lion hit by the Short Spear had just recovered from paralysis. It stood up and started charging forward, but when it saw Xu Feng’s murderous eyes, it skidded to a sudden stop, leaving deep marks on the ground. Its eyes filled with fear, the flames on its body went out, and it turned to flee into the woods.
Xu Feng pulled out the Short Spear and threw it at the lion.
The spear, with electric light, stabbed hard into the lion’s body, reducing it to low health.
Xu Feng pointed. The Flying Sword swooshed, circling the lion’s neck once. Blood sprayed. The lion’s head dropped, and its headless body stumbled forward two steps before collapsing.
“With these four Beast Crystals, I should be able to raise my Constitution Attribute to Four Stars. Then I can use the Sacred Dragon’s Essence Blood!” Xu Feng smiled slightly and thought to himself.
