Chapter 119: Auction House

“Boss, Nüwa Village has now upgraded to a level-two town. There’s an Auction House here. Shall I list this weapon for sale at the Auction House?” Zheng Yi said.

Recently, Zheng Yi had been grinding proficiency, consuming a large amount of ores and materials, but he had successfully forged very few pieces of equipment. He felt uneasy and wanted to make up for it.

“Do as you see fit. If you can use it, use it yourself. If not, sell it for resources,” Xu Feng said.

“Okay, boss.” Zheng Yi sounded a bit hesitant, but finally said, “Boss, Nüwa Village, oh no, Nüwa Town now has a small number of plots of land and houses for sale. I was thinking, maybe we should buy one? We could open a weapon shop later to earn some money.”

The Village of Sacrifice was Xu Feng’s personal territory. Until he fully secured it, he didn’t plan to open it to the public. Therefore, Nüwa Town was something he could properly plan for.

Xu Feng glanced at the endless graveyard and sighed. Relying on his own strength to wipe out this land of the undead was just too difficult.

He turned and left, heading towards Nüwa Town.

The graveyard behind him was eerily quiet. After a short while, a new tombstone emerged from the ground. The brand-new tombstone, in just a moment, seemed as if it had experienced hundreds of years, becoming old and worn, full of traces of time. The soil beneath the tombstone shifted slightly, and a low growl came from within, as if some creature was hidden underneath.

The former Nüwa Village had now become Nüwa Town. The outer walls had become masonry structures over two meters high, and the buildings inside were much more ornate than before.

Zheng Yi stood in front of the Blacksmith Shop, pacing back and forth restlessly.

Even though he had been promoted to a formal Blacksmith, his forging success rate was still too low. Zheng Yi felt anxious, afraid that Xu Feng would be dissatisfied and kick him out.

People came and went in front of the Blacksmith Shop. Many who were unwilling to go out and hunt monsters came to take up life professions. Although they couldn’t get official professional certification without Three Stars, becoming an apprentice was no problem. After becoming an apprentice, they could at least support themselves.

“This damned SSR talent. If not for this talent, with all those resources, I would have advanced to a forging expert long ago. I might even be a forging master by now.” Zheng Yi felt somewhat annoyed, dissatisfied with his forging success rate.

While feeling irritated, Zheng Yi looked up and saw Xu Feng walking towards him. He hurried forward to meet him.

Xu Feng glanced at the weapon. Zheng Yi had already sent its attributes to Xu Feng, so he didn’t pay it much mind. He shook his head and said, “Handle it as you see fit.”

“Where is the Auction House?” Xu Feng asked.

“It’s in the west part of town, a three-story building. Let me take you there,” Zheng Yi said promptly.

“No need. You practice first. There’s no hurry to sell this weapon; keep it for self-defense for now,” Xu Feng said. “I’ll go by myself.”

Zheng Yi only had One-Star Strength. With this long blade, he could at least defend himself. Even though fighting wasn’t allowed in Nüwa Town, it was better to be safe than sorry.

After discussing forging matters with Zheng Yi a bit more and reassuring him, Xu Feng nodded to Zheng Yi and walked towards the Auction House.

Upgraded to a town, the streets of the former Nüwa Village were much wider. Many shops appeared on both sides, some open, some closed. There were many people on the streets, most with One Star strength, and some ordinary people who looked haggard, dressed in ragged clothes. Their eyes were full of confusion, seeing no hope and unwilling to strive.

Xu Feng shook his head. Although the apocalypse was a great crisis, it was also a great opportunity. As long as one dared to fight and venture, they could survive. Even killing the lowest level Black Armored Beetles and collecting their shells could earn enough Fate Points to buy Insect Crystals and level up…

Xu Feng was startled, not expecting them to be so popular.

“Xiao Yu, come to the Auction House quickly! A batch of Two-Star and Three-Star equipment has appeared in the Auction House now, and there’s even Silver and Gold Quality stuff…” A little fat guy wearing cloth armor next to Xu Feng said excitedly into his Communicator in a low voice.

Xu Feng smiled slightly. His current level was at least One Star higher than ordinary people’s, and the monsters he fought were of higher levels, so the dropped items were naturally all high-grade. Those who could fight the same monsters as him now were either elite squads or major forces. The equipment they obtained was usually digested internally and not surplus for auction.

Xu Feng had heard of this ore. Ores that could increase an item’s grade were extremely rare. In his previous life, each piece was astronomically expensive. But he had never heard of a Heavenly Crystal Ore with such high quality.
