Chapter 117: Since Ancient Times, Liangnian Produced Beautiful Women
While He Juzheng and He Lin racked their brains over how to drive away Jiang Xincheng, this rookie Primordial Warrior, Jiang Xincheng, the novice Primordial Warrior, already sat on a plane heading to Liangnian City with great excitement.
In just about an hour, Jiang Xincheng arrived in the picturesque Liangnian City.
Since ancient times, Liangnian produced beautiful women. As he walked through the airport of Liangnian City and looked around, he saw beautiful women everywhere, dressed in light, cool clothes.
Miniskirts, white hot pants, see-through outfits, small T-shirts, high heels… arms as white as jade, long and fair legs, hair as dark as clouds, big bright eyes, red attractive cherry lips… they were so lovely and pretty, it made his eyes dizzy.
The light breeze carried faint fragrances, and the bright sunshine scattered across the ground. The Fourth World War had not affected Liangnian City much; though bombed a few times, the losses were small, so Liangnian City recovered quickly after the war.
In just a few years, Liangnian City not only returned to its pre-war bustling state, but also saw its businesses and scenery become more than twice as good as before. It was a shining gem in the southwest of the Shenxia Alliance, almost catching up with big cities like Tianhai City and Xiyang City.
Jiang Xincheng took some time to enjoy the views and the beautiful women of Liangnian City, then took a taxi to the Zhengxin Building, where the Zhengxin Group headquarters was located and where Jiang Xincheng had a mission to carry out.
The Zhengxin Building was not far from the airport; in just over half an hour, Jiang Xincheng arrived at the Zhengxin Building.
Looking at this tall building with over thirty floors, Jiang Xincheng smiled slightly and called He Juzheng, the chairman of the Zhengxin Group: “Hello Director He, I am Jiang Xincheng from the Flourishing Tang Empire. I’ve taken on the mission to protect Yuan Ning Shui.”
After hanging up the phone, Jiang Xincheng stood at the entrance of the Zhengxin Building, waiting for He Juzheng to send someone to meet him.
“Sir, this is the Zhengxin Group headquarters. If you don’t have any business here, please don’t linger.” At that moment, two security guards standing at the door looked at Jiang Xincheng, and one of them, a tall thin guard, said calmly.
Jiang Xincheng looked over and realized both guards were Primordial Warriors at the Late Muscle-Tempering Stage; their strength was quite good, meaning the Zhengxin Group’s power was decent: “I am waiting here for someone. He should be down soon.”
The two guards glanced at each other; the tall thin guard said: “Okay, you can wait for now. But if no one comes down in ten minutes, please leave.”
Jiang Xincheng nodded without getting angry at the guards for asking him to leave, as they were just doing their jobs. Jiang Xincheng was not the type to cause a fuss.
Five minutes later, under the stunned gazes of the two guards, He Lin, the highly respected deputy general manager of the Zhengxin Group—also known as the most famous Goddess of the company—appeared in the lobby. She wore black high heels and a professional pantsuit, walking gracefully toward the exit: “Are you Mr. Jiang Xincheng?”
She examined the member of the Flourishing Tang Empire carefully: a clean face, bright eyes, good skin that scored over seventy points—making him fairly handsome. But he looked somewhat young, though his eyes showed a maturity that did not match his age.
“Yes, I’m Jiang Xincheng. And you are?” Jiang Xincheng smiled lightly and subtly flashed his Elite Soldier token so He Lin could see it, confirming his identity.
He Lin gestured invitingly: “Mr. Jiang, please follow me. Since you’ve had a long trip, let’s have some coffee and rest a bit before we discuss the mission.”
Jiang Xincheng nodded and followed He Lin toward the cafe on the thirty-sixth floor.
“Jiang Xincheng, I looked over your profile and it says you’re still a student?” He Lin asked curiously.
Jiang Xincheng nodded: “Yes, I’m a student at Tianhai University. I just finished my first year, and second year starts in a few months.”
“Getting to the Bone Forging Initial Stage in your first year, plus joining the Flourishing Tang Empire—that’s impressive, Mr. Jiang. You must be from a well-known family?” A flicker of surprise crossed He Lin’s face. She still wanted to get rid of this Bone Forging Initial Stage Primordial Warrior for taking the Yuan Ning Shui mission, but she had to admit Jiang Xincheng’s talent was remarkable, far beyond her own.
Jiang Xincheng shook his head: “No, my family is just ordinary, not from any big household.”
This made He Lin even more surprised. She came from a wealthy family and had plenty of Yuan Crystals to help with her training from the start. Even so, after several years she only reached the Tendon-Forging Late Peak Stage. Yet Jiang Xincheng, an ordinary student without enough resources or a good environment, reached the Bone Forging Initial Stage at such a young age—such talent was truly amazing.
Jiang Xinchen’s excellence changed He Lin’s original plan a little. She still intended to send him away but decided not to be so rough. His talent made He Lin want to form a friendly relationship with him.
The two arrived at the cafe on the thirty-sixth floor. He Lin ordered two coffees and sat opposite Jiang Xincheng, smiling: “Jiang Xincheng, how much do you know about this mission?”
“I know only a little. From what I understand, Yuan Ning Shui is being targeted by an underground group in Liangnian City called the West Street Pack of Wolves. They have about seven Primordial Warriors at the Bone Tempering Late Stage, fourteen at the Bone Training Realm mid-stage, twenty-one at the Bone Forging Initial Stage, and nearly a hundred at the Muscle Training Realm and Tendon Training Realm. They’re quite large and control about half of Liangnian City’s underground market secretly, doing many bad things—they’re very cruel and dominate.” Jiang Xincheng laughed.
With the appearance of Primordial Force and the spread of the Primordial Ultimate Art, some ordinary people gained Primordial Force and became strong, only to change their minds.
They chased wealth and power at all costs, crushed rivals and stole valuables by any means, turning into social scum that hurt society greatly.
Primordial Force was still in its early days, so many rules leftover from the Old Era did not apply anymore, and this added to society’s confusion.
Practitioners used their power openly: ganging up on the Department of Public Security, robbing banks, killing government workers, looting department stores and Yuan Crystal shops. Some crazy Practitioners even wiped out whole villages and tribes, erasing many small communities from the Shenxia Alliance.
Since ancient times, martial skill leads to rule-breaking. And Primordial Force gave people extreme power, so many lost control and did wild things.
That’s why the Flourishing Tang Empire formed—to handle this chaos. In its first year, thousands of its members killed nearly a million guilty monsters.
The arrival of Primordial Force and the spreading of the Primordial Ultimate Art weren’t all good. Like everything, it had two sides: while bringing evolution for all, it also brought endless killing and evil.
If it weren’t for the Flourishing Tang Empire, the Shenxia Alliance might still be half-chaotic today, with ordinary people unable to live safely and happily.
