This was the foundation of the Way of Deception—mastering the art of deceiving others! The second step was Deceiving Oneself. To deceive others, one must first deceive oneself. If even you believe it, why worry that others won’t? The third step was deceiving heaven and earth, deceiving one’s parents, deceiving flowers, grasses, and trees, deceiving snakes, insects, tigers, and leopards, deceiving ants, birds, and beasts—deceiving everything that could be deceived! The fourth step was the Way of Deception itself—deceiving the true Great Dao! Cough… I always believed the Way of Deception had only four steps. Little did I expect that person would hint to me at the existence of a Fifth Step! Haha, the Fifth Step! Ah, the Fifth Step!
