Chapter 221: Pole Dance Queen

Tang Chen felt very unhappy right now, especially unhappy. He originally could have had fun with Yang Mi to satisfy his urges, but because of Wang Baobao’s disturbance, there was no chance of that happening at all.

The following days were much more leisurely, with nothing particularly eventful happening. Though it felt a bit boring, since he had been used to that kind of exciting life for so long, changing things up was not bad.

The only thing that frustrated Tang Chen was how much Yang Mi seemed to like that little girl Wang Baobao. Those two stuck together every day, almost to the point of abandoning him.

There were pros and cons, though. At least now Tang Chen didn’t have to worry about taking care of Wang Baobao. With Yang Mi accompanying her, he had it much easier.

Another pleasant afternoon came, and Tang Chen received a call from Boss Pang. It was about the ten supermarkets they had bought last time. Over the phone, he said he and Chen Laosan had already divided things up and wanted to invite Tang Chen over to make the final decision.

Normally, Tang Chen would have been too lazy to get involved in such matters, but thinking that it was all under his control, he decided he should still pay some attention. After saying a word to Yang Mi, he drove out.

“Annoying System. You’ve been pretty quiet lately. You haven’t given me any missions, Young Master. Are you playing the deep and mysterious route now?” Tang Chen talked to the System while driving, just to make conversation.

The System stayed silent for a moment, then said, “Respected Host, please don’t disturb me. This System also needs to rest.”

Tang Chen twitched his mouth and cursed speechlessly, “Rest what? You’re not even human. What do you need rest for?”

The System said arrogantly, “Respected Host, you don’t understand. Although I’m not human, I am an intelligent machine thousands of times more advanced than humans. You could say my way of thinking far surpasses that of humans by millennia. Yet, an outstanding being like me ended up choosing such an idiotic Host like you. If I don’t rest and review some knowledge every now and then, I’m really worried my intelligence will be dragged down by you.”

Tang Chen’s face darkened. He twitched his mouth uncontrollably. He knew it—you couldn’t give this System any leeway. This thing would feel uncomfortable if it didn’t criticize him at least once a day. Damn it.

“Screw you!” Tang Chen couldn’t be bothered to argue with the System anymore. The car quickly arrived at Chen Laosan’s bar.

“Young Master Tang!” The subordinates at the entrance recognized Tang Chen at once and immediately bowed and greeted him.

Tang Chen gave a noncommittal sound and casually asked, “Where are Boss Pang and Chen Laosan? Which private room?”

One subordinate said respectfully, “Young Master Tang, let me take you there.” Saying this, he stepped aside to let Tang Chen enter, then led him to a private room door. He knocked, then called inside, “Third Master, Mr. Pang, Young Master Tang is here.”

Almost immediately after the voice fell, the door opened. Chen Laosan and Boss Pang bowed together and called out, “Young Master Tang!”

Tang Chen nodded faintly. A boss should act like a boss. He said, “Don’t stand outside. Let’s go in and talk.”

“Yes, Young Master Tang!” Boss Pang and the other automatically made way for Tang Chen, then invited him to sit on the sofa while they sat on another sofa.

Chen Laosan cautiously asked, “Young Master Tang, should I have someone bring in some drinks?”

Tang Chen waved his hand and said, “No need. We’re here for serious business today—let’s not bother with that. Boss Pang, you can start now.”

Boss Pang and Chen Laosan exchanged a look, then Boss Pang took a document from his briefcase and handed it to Tang Chen. He said, “Young Master Tang, these are the transfer contracts and such for those ten supermarkets. As per your request, Third Master and I each took half. Please see if there’s anything you’d like to change.”

Tang Chen looked it over carefully, then put it on the table and smiled, “You two know me—I’m still young and don’t understand these things well. You handle it as you see fit.”

Chen Laosan hurried to flatter him, “Young Master Tang, though you’re young, you have such a commanding presence. My admiration for you flows for miles.”

“Enough, cut the crap. Just do a good job,” Tang Chen laughed and scolded Chen Laosan. After spending so much time together, he was quite reassured by both their abilities.

The three talked a little longer, then Chen Laosan spoke up, “Young Master Tang, in a while, I was thinking of organizing a bar event. The drug incident last time had a big impact on our bar. Do you think I should invite a few celebrities to help boost the atmosphere, like Junyue did last time?”

On the cover, she had her beautiful legs, wrapped in black stockings, entwined around a pole, looking particularly sexy and seductive.

“This woman isn’t bad. Is she a star from China?” Tang Chen never paid attention to entertainment news, so he didn’t know who she was.

Chen Laosan nodded excitedly and said, “Yes, Young Master Tang, that’s her. Her name is Ding Xiang. She’s a female star who debuted this year and is known as the Pole Dance Queen in the entertainment industry. I heard she was discovered by a director in ‘Step Up’ and has starred in a few movies. Boss Pang nodded without any objections. Both he and Chen Laosan served Young Master Tang. Whatever Young Master Tang ordered, he would do.

Tang Chen narrowed his eyes and smiled, saying, “As for that big star Ding Xiang, Young Master will take care of her. Young Master will definitely get her to come to our bar and perform a pole dance!”

Tang Chen confidently told Chen Laosan that he would get Ding Xiang to the bar for a pole dance within three days. But when he drove away from the bar, he had a worried look on his face.
