Chapter 190: A New Broom Sweeps Clean!

“You look like you received the money. So pathetic, and you call yourself a big boss? It was just Five Billion, and you’re acting like you’ve never seen money before.” Tang Chen curled his lips disdainfully. These rich people nowadays. They’re all fake tycoons, clearly broke but still putting on a show in front of him.

The boss was completely stunned. He really wanted to complain. Even though he was a so-called boss, he had never seen so much money all at once. Oh lord, could you be any more unreasonable?

“Ahem, y-you’re absolutely right. I’ll go prepare the contract for you right away.” The boss’s attitude did a complete 180-degree turn. He became servile and looked utterly reverent.

Yang Mi smiled helplessly. She knew it. That guy Tang Chen with his nasty sense of humor would never miss a chance to show off.

“Hold on.” Tang Chen frowned and called out, then said, “What transfer contract? This Young Master said he’s turning this place into a toilet. Go tell those guests that this resort has now become a public restroom.”

The boss wanted to die. So this young master was serious! He actually spent Five Billion to buy this place and turn it into a toilet?! Damn it, did he have to go this far!

“This… this isn’t really appropriate, is it? After all, I’ve been running this resort for a while. Turning it into a toilet just like that seems a bit too wasteful, doesn’t it?” The boss cautiously voiced his opinion. He couldn’t bear to see his hard work destroyed in an instant.

Tang Chen sneered. Whoosh—he appeared in front of the boss in an instant, raised his hand, and slapped him. The slap sent the boss stumbling back several steps.

Tang Chen said arrogantly, “Change it if I tell you to change it. Why are you wasting your breath? I don’t care if you run it or not. This Young Master isn’t short on money. Either you, this idiot, pay double the price to buy it back and run it however you want, or you obediently do what I say. If you make me angry, I’ll just buy your house and turn it into a toilet too!”

Such outrageously arrogant words… probably only Tang Chen in the whole world could say them. The boss covered his face, not even daring to fart. Are tycoons that amazing? They really are amazing! Damn it, he just made a small protest and now this guy wants to turn his house into a toilet. How arrogant is that!

“Yes, yes. I’ll go tell the guests right away.” The boss didn’t dare say anything more. Whatever. He got the money anyway, so let this young master do whatever he wanted.

“You idiots, put that manager down for me!” Tang Chen looked up and saw three bodyguards dragging the previous manager out of the sea. He walked over while shouting.

The three bodyguards were stunned. This kid was a bit too cocky. Just as they were about to get angry, they heard the boss jump and yell, “What the hell are you still standing around for? This is the new boss! Put that bastard down for me!”

The bodyguards looked at each other. What did the boss say? New boss? Damn, when did this young guy become the new boss? Was he joking? But seeing the boss’s angry face, they somewhat believed it. They quickly threw the manager onto the ground.

Tang Chen walked over with a playful smile, then grabbed the manager by the neck and threw him whole into the sea again. This time, he threw him even farther, making a bigger splash.

“No one is allowed to save him. The farther away such an idiot who can’t tell right from wrong dies, the better!” After doing this, Tang Chen turned and walked away. His words made the bodyguards and the boss shiver with fear.

So ruthless. This was basically murder in broad daylight!

Tang Chen didn’t care about others’ opinions of him. After sending away the boss and the four others, and arranging for that girl to leave, only he and Yang Mi remained on the beach.

As for the other people, once they heard that Tang Chen spent Five Billion to buy the place and turn it into a toilet, they all hid as far away as possible. Who would dare provoke such a menace?

“Tang Chen, you’re too extreme. This will make you too many enemies.” Yang Mi sat on Tang Chen’s lap, applying sunscreen for him as she spoke.

Tang Chen shrugged indifferently and said, “It’s fine, darling. I just love seeing those people hate me but can’t do anything about it. Your husband is very capable.”

“Really?” Yang Mi sighed helplessly, blinked, and said teasingly, “But all I see is narcissism. So full of yourself.”

Tang Chen laughed heartily, feeling pretty good. Just then, his mobile phone rang. Tang Chen took it out and saw it was Liu Yanran calling. He muttered, “What does Police Sister want? Does she miss me? Ouch!”

Yang Mi rolled her eyes and pinched Tang Chen. She said angrily, “You jerk. Your wife is right here and you’re still thinking of other women? Don’t even think about sleeping in bed tonight.” Even as she said this, she obediently left first to go swimming.

After all, she also knew that Liu Yanran wouldn’t call Tang Chen for no reason. There must be something going on.

Tang Chen rubbed his chest helplessly, watching Yang Mi dive into the sea like a mermaid. He answered the phone with a smile and said, “Hey, Police Sister, what’s up?”

On the other end, Liu Yanran lowered her voice and said, “Tang Chen, you need to be careful lately. A new Bureau Chief has arrived at our Police Station. This guy seems trouble.”

Tang Chen curled his lips, somewhat mystified, and said, “So he came. What’s that got to do with me? I haven’t done anything wrong.”

Liu Yanran said anxiously, “Tang Chen, listen to me. This Bureau Chief might be targeting you. There have been several major incidents in the city lately, right? This Bureau Chief, not sure where he got the information, is adamant they’re related to you. Today, he held a meeting telling all of us to keep a close eye on you. Anyway, you must be careful. Someone’s coming, I have to go.” Liu Yanran hurriedly finished her last sentence and hung up.

“The new Police Bureau Chief? Suspects it’s me? Interesting. I’d like to see how capable you are.” Tang Chen didn’t take this damned Police Bureau Chief seriously at all. In his view, even if he suspected him, so what? There’s no solid evidence. What can you do to me?

Tang Chen really enjoyed himself with Yang Mi that day. It wasn’t until after 5 p.m. that the two drove home. After dinner, they sat on the sofa watching TV. Yang Mi leaned against Tang Chen’s chest, looking sweet and submissive.

The untimely mobile phone ringtone always seemed to go off at such moments, disrupting the intimate atmosphere between Tang Chen and Yang Mi. Tang Chen picked up the phone annoyed. Seeing it was Chen Laosan calling, he frowned and answered.

“Young Master Tang, it’s bad! Our Bar was raided by the Police today. They found several bags of Heroin. Some of our brothers have been arrested now.” Chen Laosan’s voice on the other end was very anxious. He happened to be out today, and unexpectedly this happened.

“Heroin? Who told you to mess with that stuff? Didn’t I strictly forbid it?” Prostitution, gambling, and drugs were the three things Tang Chen hated the most, so he had repeatedly warned Chen Laosan that such things must never be in the Bar.

Chen Laosan said aggrievedly, “Young Master Tang, I’ve always remembered your words. I also told all the brothers. There shouldn’t be any reason for this to happen. I wasn’t there today. I just called the person in charge at the Bar. He said the Police rushed straight to a Private Room as soon as they entered, and then they found the Heroin. Young Master Tang, I feel like the Police knew exactly where the Heroin was hidden.”

Tang Chen pondered slightly. Indeed, as Chen Laosan said, these Police were too targeted. It was as if someone had told them the Heroin was hidden there. An informant? Or some other possibility?

“Chen Laosan, come back first. I’ll call Police Sister later and ask. It’s fine.” Tang Chen said a few words, gave some more instructions, and then hung up.

Yang Mi asked Tang Chen nervously, “Tang Chen, did something happen?”

Tang Chen smiled reassuringly and said, “Nothing major. Just a few brothers from the Bar got arrested. I need to ask Police Sister about the situation.” As he spoke, he took out his mobile phone and called Liu Yanran.

Liu Yanran answered quickly and said, “Tang Chen, it’s so late. What’s up?”

Tang Chen got straight to the point and asked, “Police Sister, what exactly is going on? Why did you go to my Bar and arrest my people?”

“Go to your Bar and arrest people? No, we didn’t. Our Police force had the day off today. The new Bureau Chief told us all to rest. Did something happen?” Liu Yanran sounded confused, seeming unaware.

Tang Chen’s eyes turned cold, slightly angry, and said, “It seems this new Bureau Chief really is… a new broom sweeps clean!”
