Gao Jing left the crowd that was starting to become noisy again and walked over to the platform beside the Underground Passageway.
He sat down on a bench.

Ling Ling, roughly pulled along for a few steps, snapped out of her daze. She said anxiously, “My friends are still over there…”

Gao Jing released her hand and roared: “Run if you don’t want to die!”
If she wanted to save her friends now, he definitely wasn’t waiting around!
Ling Ling looked back towards her friends. She saw undead wreaking havoc. Screams, cries for help, and panicked shouts filled the cavern.

The archer bit her lip, set her jaw, and sprinted after Gao Jing.
Behind her, many more adventurers frantically fled.

The ground in the middle of the cavern suddenly bulged upward. A gigantic beetle made of countless bones burst from the earth. Its mandibles parted, spewing a long stream of white flame from its maw.

This was only the beginning. A second, then a third, Skeleton Beetle emerged.
