Yang Qi was confused when he heard this, and Granny Bai was as well. She asked, “What, Chief Du, do you know our Yang Qi?”
“Not really, but my precious daughter has been chattering about this name every day lately. My ears are almost calloused from hearing it.” Du Ren laughed heartily.
“Your daughter?”
“Yes, my daughter, also from Ruiyun High School, named Du Sisi.”
Hearing Du Ren mention this name, Yang Qi was momentarily stunned. What a coincidence, it was the fierce girl Du Sisi. But on second thought, it made sense. Probably only someone from the Criminal Investigation Brigade Chief’s family could produce such a tough girl.

The thugs, seeing the Chief of the Criminal Investigation Brigade chatting casually with the old woman and the young man involved in the incident, grew even more panicked. They didn’t dare to make any improper move, especially with a row of police officers standing nearby!
What were they supposed to do now? Today they had kicked an iron plate!
The thugs all looked at Chen Dali. Didn’t you say this was just an orphanage? Why is there such a good fighter? And that old lady, wasn’t she just a lonely old woman? Why does the Chief of the Criminal Investigation Brigade seem to respect her so much?
“The boss said he’s coming right away. Don’t be scared. The boss is familiar with people at the station,” Chen Dali whispered, trying to comfort the others and himself at the same time.
Chen Dali and his gang were very anxious. Besides them, there was another person who was anxious: Chen Datian. He had never seen such a big commotion before and couldn’t help feeling scared. He smiled politely, pointing at the person next to him. “The troublemakers in the courtyard are Huang Gou’s underlings. I specifically brought Huang Gou here to apologize to the people inside!”

“No need for thanks between us. I just hope he won’t come to the courtyard to cause trouble again, and I hope he can learn to behave better in the future!”
Granny Bai was a perceptive person. She could see Uncle Chen’s anxiety earlier. She knew doing this was risky but did it anyway. She couldn’t bear to see Uncle Chen like that. Nothing was more important than the people in the courtyard.
