Chapter 90: The Dao Body Nears Completion
Chapter 90: The Dao Body Nears Completion
In Lin Yuan’s view what was called Primal Yang Unity Qi was simply Primordial Unity Qi. However, in the Main World, the Primordial Yang Dao Sovereign was revered as the Creator God. Primordial Yang created the four great elements, established the Three Powers of Yin and Yang from the division of Primordial Chaos, and thereby set the Two Forms, Four Phenomena, Nine Palaces, and Eight Trigrams.
On the surface, this “Commentary on the Jade Chapter Scripture of Taiyuan’s Divine Birth” seemed to expound upon a primal Innate Dao Lord called Taiyuan Dao Mother. But in reality, it explained primal transformations.
Lin Yuan recalled something explained in another Dao scripture.
“Primordial Qi exists within the vast emptiness, beyond the Netherworld, born from the Hollow Void. Within the Hollow Void, it was born from the Great Nothingness. The Great Nothingness changed and the Three Qis became manifest. The Three Qis in chaos, born from the Great Void, established a cave. A cave was established from nothing, something was born from nothing, and emptiness was established from something. The transformation of empty nothingness, the void giving birth naturally. The upper qi is called Beginning, the middle qi is called Origin, the lower qi is called Mystery…”
It fully explained the transformations of the primal myriad changes.
Although Lin Yuan did not cultivate the Dao of Taiyuan, through the changes of Taiyuan, he could still glimpse part of the transformations of the Yin Yang Mixed Cavern.
As comprehension dawned, inside his body, both the Acquired True Child and the Innate Primordial Spirit became like the primal Primordial Chaos—vast, boundless, having no light or form, no sound or noise, no ancestor or progenitor, dark and obscure… Gradually, a long, unknowable time passed. A single speck of primal essence was born within. Clarity and turbidity separated, like One giving birth to Two, Two to Three, Three to all things. Countless primal transformations operated within.
The complexity within was such that someone like Lin Yuan, nearly an Innate Divine Demon, still found it exhausting.
Even the Acquired True Child and Innate Primordial Spirit were, vaguely, becoming somewhat stagnant.
This “Commentary on the Jade Chapter Scripture of Taiyuan’s Divine Birth” was far more obscure than imagined. It must have been left by a supremely powerful Ancient Immortal.
At that very moment, a trace of a phenomenon appeared in the cave abode.
Due to Qi resonance, on the cave abode’s bookshelf, a Heavenly Mansion Jade Book emitted a faint glow. The “Primordial Yang Dao Scripture” transformed into a stream of light and suddenly fell onto Lin Yuan’s head.
Tiny fragments of Primordial Yang Dao rhythm fell. Lin Yuan’s internal Acquired True Child and Innate Primordial Spirit immediately transformed. That faint, nearly dissipating Qi resonance suddenly returned from countless changes back to One. It was like a Primordial Yang World-Cleaving Giant Axe. With one swing of the axe, all things turned into murky chaos. A giant deity leapt forth from within. Fierce axe light cleaved the Primordial Chaos’s murkiness. Earth, Water, Wind, Fire churned. As Primordial Unity Qi was born within, the clear Qi formed heaven, the dregs condensed into earth, and the middle Qi became harmony!
A thing without head or tail, unknown in beginning or end, endlessly entwining black and white, a dark, profound, mysterious light directly emerged from the giant axe. Upon its birth, this mysterious light seemed to bring the dead, stiff phenomenon to life.
Whether it was the power of the Four Elements—Earth, Water, Wind, Fire—or the Three Powers and all things, the transformations of Taiyuan all transformed into a supremely pure Yin Yang Mixed Cavern of entwining black and white.
A moment later, as if the evolution had reached its limit, the “Primordial Yang Dao Scripture” glowing with Primordial Yang Spiritual Light above his head erupted into ashes and vanished. Even the “Commentary on the Jade Chapter Scripture of Taiyuan’s Divine Birth”, unable to withstand the substantial Dao rhythm, shattered with a crash, turning into a sky full of flying dust.
Lin Yuan opened his eyes. Sensing the strange murky Yin Yang Qi resonance and mysterious light emitted by the two Dao Fruits, his gaze fell upon the two Dao scriptures turning into glowing specks and disappearing one after another.
Originally, he thought he might not achieve full success this time. Unexpectedly, the Qi resonance of that “Primordial Yang Dao Scripture” was triggered and drawn upon. With the help of the one trace of Primordial Yang World-Cleaving Dao rhythm within it, evolved by an Ancient Immortal, the situation took a dramatic turn!
Not only did he comprehend part of the primal mysteries within the “Commentary on the Jade Chapter Scripture of Taiyuan’s Divine Birth”, but he also integrated and thoroughly understood the wonders of Primordial Yang from the “Primordial Yang Dao Scripture”, thereby comprehending a portion of the true meaning of Yin Yang within the Innate Dao of Yin and Yang.
“The merit of creation, the division of Yin Yang, is indeed incredibly powerful!”
He thought to himself. The joy in Lin Yuan’s heart was beyond words.
Although he didn’t truly obtain a method to achieve the Dao, what was gained from these Dao scriptures was no less than a primal baptism.
At this moment, Lin Yuan could sense that he had finally caught up to the Innate Divine Demons.
Between him and an Innate Divine Demon now lay only a thin sheet of paper. A gentle poke, and he could achieve an Innate Divine Demon body.
After struggling for so long in the Primordial World, he finally had a chance to catch up to those Innate Great Deities!
His facial expression shifted. An unknown amount of time passed before Lin Yuan reined in the surprise and joy within his heart, swiftly turning his gaze to the “Nine Heavens Dao Canon”.
The “Commentary on the Jade Chapter Scripture of Taiyuan’s Divine Birth” had greatly benefited him. This “Nine Heavens Dao Canon” also held other mysteries, giving him a similar spiritual intuition. There should be other pleasant surprises.
During this time, an inner sect elder of the Chengyuan Immortal Sect visited, bringing Lin Yuan all the ritual robes of a Chengyuan Immortal Sect True Inheritance Disciple, as well as the benefits of being a True Inheritance Disciple. After receiving him, Lin Yuan once again immersed himself in this Dao scripture, the “Nine Heavens Dao Canon”.
Until the True Inheritance Banquet began.
…
The True Inheritance Banquet was set within the Yuanling Heavenly Pool deep in the Yuanling Grotto-Heaven.
The Innate Spiritual Qi here was thick. When Lin Yuan arrived here riding his escaping light, he almost suspected he was in the Primordial World.
He saw jade trees and silver flowers everywhere, brilliant sunlight, moonlight, and starlight shining gloriously, endless auspicious clouds drifting about. It was completely comparable to the sacred scenery of Jiugong Mountain Lin Yuan had seen in the Primordial World.
At the entrance to the Grotto-Heaven, many guests had already arrived one after another. Many white-robed disciples were responsible for receiving them. It looked quite lively.
When Lin Yuan reached the Grotto-Heaven entrance, many of the welcoming disciples recognized this fiery new True Inheritance Disciple of their sect. After a slight greeting, they respectfully invited him inside.
The Yuanling Heavenly Pool inside was exceptionally vast, containing countless splendid sights. Among the swirling mists and clouds, it resembled a palace among the highest heavens. Surrounding the Yuanling Heavenly Pool were countless jade buildings and treasure halls. Spiritual wine and spiritual fruits were placed on the tables in each great hall, fully displaying the foundation of a major sect.
Stepping into the Yuanling Heavenly Pool, feeling the trace of Grotto-Heaven Dao rhythm it emitted, a flicker of strange color appeared in Lin Yuan’s eyes. Something inside him seemed to faintly resonate with it.
Suppressing the urge to immediately settle his mind and contemplate it, Lin Yuan acted calmly. Looking around, many guests had already arrived early, quite a few chatting freely within the various halls.
Some were great cultivators from various Dharma Lineages. It seemed some elders who had been traveling outside had also returned, smiling and offering greetings as they passed by.
Many guests had also brought their disciples, probably to broaden their horizons and meet fellow Taoists. Of course, some also couldn’t resist showing off in front of old friends.
Lin Yuan felt slightly odd. It seemed the Chengyuan Immortal Sect’s True Inheritance Banquet was quite influential.
This was Lin Yuan’s first time attending this True Inheritance Banquet. In the sect, he actually wasn’t familiar with many fellow disciples or elders. Unexpectedly, many True Inheritors and elders, seeing his arrival, took the initiative to greet him.
Lin Yuan didn’t pay much attention to it. In truth, at this moment, Lin Yuan wasn’t very interested in this True Inheritance Banquet either.
His entire attention now was on the “Nine Heavens Dao Canon”.
That “Nine Heavens Dao Canon” held other mysteries.
Unlike the “Commentary on the Jade Chapter Scripture of Taiyuan’s Divine Birth”, it was a set of notes left by an Ancient Immortal who wanted to establish his own Dao lineage.
That Ancient Immortal who left this lineage claimed the method he left behind was the Blessed Land and Grotto-Heaven Method. However, Lin Yuan preferred to call it the Earth Immortal Method, the Earth Immortal Lineage!
