She froze.

Yu Meilin closed the door and lowered her voice. “Zian, why did you bring Mu Chuntao’s father here? What do you mean by this? I told you I don’t want to argue. I’ve already given in—what more do you want?”

Her reaction was natural. After all, they had argued because of Mu Chuntao just last night. Bringing Mu Chuntao’s father here could easily be interpreted as him wanting to confront her or something.
