Chapter 283: Let’s Discuss This Later

Ten Ghost Takizawas, each perfectly copying Fang Cheng’s abilities, experience, and techniques while being slightly stronger.

What happens when facing ten enemies superior to oneself?

It could only be summed up like this—though his death looked pathetic, his figure charging at ten stronger foes appeared downright heroic.

Within a minute, as Tsukikage Hoshi cried out, Fang Cheng got surrounded by nine Ghost Takizawas. A dozen blood swords pierced his body.

Life -1

Remaining: 99

The tenth stood afar, casually observing.

After reviving, Fang Cheng unleashed Pure demon flames, engulfing the surroundings in a blazing sea of fire that forced the nine back. He leaped away from the encirclement.

He instinctively tried fleeing when the watching Ghost Takizawa remarked, “Run, and I’ll slaughter them all.”

“Damn! Since when did you care about dignity?”

Fang Cheng abandoned his escape plan as the nine closed in again.

Direct confrontation was hopeless—their copied abilities surpassed his own. Fang Cheng resorted to hit-and-run tactics, darting around the vast hall while fending off attacks.

Moments later, he got pinned against a wall and stabbed to death.

Reviving a second time, he fought recklessly, trading injuries to eliminate one foe. Though successful, the remaining eight swarmed him, blades reducing him to chunks.

In under ten minutes, Fang Cheng died repeatedly—burned, dismembered, beheaded, carved into a limbless stump.

“Enough!” Tsukikage Hoshi shouted at Ghost Takizawa, unable to endure more. “What’s your goal?!”

Beside her, Uka Kaori glared icy daggers at the besieged Fang Cheng, teeth nearly cracking from clenched fury.

Oni Yuki sat upright using her last stamina, face blank as if indifferent. But her hidden hands clawed sleeves, nails digging bloody crescents into palms.

Since the fight began, she’d struggled to break Ghost Takizawa’s curse—progress agonizingly slow. Becoming Ghost Lord today should’ve launched her ambitions. Instead, she’d been outmaneuvered, surviving only through Fang Cheng’s gruesome sacrifices. This humiliation gutted her pride.

“Enough?” Ghost Takizawa glanced at Tsukikage Hoshi. “True, I’ve got shows to watch.”

He reached into his sleeve, withdrawing a samurai sword—no one saw how it fit there.

The blade slid free with metallic hiss, its edge radiating cold that prickled every skin in the hall.

Oni Yuki trembled violently, like an animal facing its natural predator.

She stared at the blade in Ghost Takizawa’s hand, her heart pounding.

“Ah Cheng, watch out!”

Oni Yuki shouted to Fang Cheng, panic clear in her voice: “That’s Child-Cutting Ankan!”

Fang Cheng had just escaped the nine Ghost Takizawa clones. Fortunately, they didn’t chase him, giving him time to catch his breath.

He didn’t need her warning – he recognized the blade instantly.

It matched the counterfeit he’d bought from Etsuzin Shrine. Kamikawa Takumi had said the real one was lost.

No doubt, Ghost Takizawa held the genuine article.

The Ghost Lord had secretly obtained Child-Cutting Ankan to kill Shōki. The blade sank into Heavenly Lake with the corpse, only to end up in Ghost Takizawa’s hands.

Though called the immortal demon, Shōki died to this blade. Both legends and reality proved its power against immortality.

All demon clan members feared this weapon. That’s why Oni Yuki reacted like prey seeing a hunter.

When Ghost Takizawa drew the legendary blade, Oni Yuki lost her calm.

“Stop! We’ll give you the entrance pass…”

“Shut up!”

Fang Cheng interrupted, revived again. He glared at Ghost Takizawa: “This is between him and me now.”

Knowing the old shadow’s tricks, even surrendering the pass wouldn’t save them.

Oni Yuki cried desperately: “Don’t be reckless! That blade negates your immortality!”

She knew Ghost Takizawa lied, but Fang Cheng could truly die now.

“I’ll defeat him and save you all. Don’t worry.”

Fang Cheng’s confident words stunned Oni Yuki.

Looking at his face, she suddenly felt safe – like when her Father lived. Though not physically imposing among demons, his presence felt unshakable, like he could hold up the collapsing sky.

Whether from trust or seeing her Father’s shadow in him, Oni Yuki’s fear vanished.

“Then don’t die,” she smiled. “I still need you as my royal consort.”

Uka Kaori and Tsukikage Hoshi stood dumbfounded, forgetting the danger as they gaped at the pair.

Fang Cheng flushed, waving awkwardly: “We’ll discuss that later!”

“Hey! Shoving romance down this single dog’s throat is cruel!”

Ghost Takizawa aimed Child-Cutting Ankan at Fang Cheng: “Being a vampire won’t save you. This blade kills all immortals – even the Blood Queen.”

As the saying goes: killed people stay dead.

This blade’s anti-immortality power included vampires.

Fang Cheng grinned: “Sorry, I’m a special vampire. I won’t die.”

Ghost Takizawa smirked: “Won’t know till we try.”

“Ever heard ‘trying leads to dying’?”

“That pun only works in Chinese!”

“You got it.”

Facing ten stronger clones and the immortality-slaying blade, Fang Cheng spread his arms. Blood Eagles swarmed from his body, filling the hall.

Ghost Takizawa’s nine clones created more Blood Eagles, outnumbering Fang Cheng’s.

“Explosions?” Ghost Takizawa eyed the swarm overhead. “You’ll hit your friends too! What’re you-?!”

As Fang Cheng’s body gushed blood, the clones copied him.

Ghost Takizawa realized too late.

Every Blood Eagle exploded simultaneously. A crimson deluge drowned the hall in blood.
