Chapter 164: Terrifying Damage
Chapter 164: Terrifying Damage
The six melee players from the Brotherhood Alliance were startled. From the equipment’s appearance, they could tell their opponent was a Warrior. But this Warrior was using skills completely different from what they knew!
A whale bit down from above. Though formed from water, its momentum was terrifying, filling them with dread!
“Dodge!” one yelled. The six figures scattered swiftly, hoping to escape this terrifying attack.
“Childish!” Prodigal Son’s Return sneered coldly upon seeing this.
The six from the Brotherhood Alliance dodged desperately. Among them, two were Warrior melee fighters. Utilizing the Charge Skill, they dodged six to seven meters away. Visually, they seemed to have escaped the whale’s bite. Yet Prodigal Son’s Return, watching them, remained cold.
Bam!
The whale crashed down. Three melee fighters were bitten head-on by the deep-blue whale. Numbers near two thousand in damage floated above their heads!
“Dodged!” The other three were overjoyed. The whale’s damage was terrifying; it wiped out more than half their health points in one move. Luckily, they had escaped, or they’d be half-dead.
“It’s not over!” But as they turned, ready to retaliate, they were horrified to discover that once the whale landed on the shallow seawater, it created mighty waves surging outward, violently striking all six players!
Damage numbers around one thousand appeared. The three previously bitten by the whale naturally perished. The other three melee fighters who thought they’d escaped were struck for over a thousand damage each.
How could such an overpowered skill exist!
Staring at the three comrades instantly killed by one skill, the remaining three melee fighters were dumbfounded.
The Sea Essence: Whale Swallow was so powerful! Had they not dodged slightly faster, this one skill would have wiped out all six of them!
“Sea Serpent Arrow Rain!” While the trio were still stunned by their companions’ sudden death, the Sea Clan Archer player already drew his bow.
But he wasn’t aiming at the sky; he was targeting the water below.
Swoosh…
A sharp whistling sound echoed as a rain of arrows poured into the shallow water.
Once submerged, this arrow rain transformed. Like swimming sea serpents, the arrows rapidly twisted and darted underwater, each finding targets among the three Brotherhood Alliance melee players.
Another unseen skill!
Reacting, their faces paled, they desperately tried to dodge.
But their skills were already used up dodging the Whale Swallow earlier. Now, they could only rely on sprinting to evade.
Yet if any random player could outrun arrows, Archers would be redundant. They ran as hard as they could, but in less than two seconds, multiple arrows shot up from beneath the water, aiming for their backs.
“Jump!” These three had rich battle experience. The instant the arrows were about to hit them, they leaped upward from the water’s surface, hoping to avoid the underwater projectiles.
“Not bad thinking, pity…” The Archer player smiled slightly.
Suddenly, the submerged arrows shot out of the water, all striking the three players hovering in the air.
Suspended mid-air, they had nowhere to dodge. Every arrow found its mark.
Damage numbers floated again. Each of the three took three to four arrows. The arrow damage was high. Several shafts struck critically. In the blink of an eye, they lost nearly three thousand Health Points. Had they not been higher-health melee classes, this Archer skill would have killed them instantly.
Though alive, their health bars were nearly gone. One more attack of decent damage, and they would die.
“Exploding Water Orb!”
Fearing something brings it faster. The Sea Clan Mage, clad in sky-blue robes, slammed her staff onto the water’s surface!
Instantly, before the three melee fighters could land, a massive water orb erupted from below, shooting into the space just before them.
BOOM!
The water orb exploded, fragmenting into countless soccer-ball sized water projectiles that scattered violently.
The three landed and tried to evade, but the projectiles were too numerous. Escape was impossible.
Being a magic attack, the Exploding Water Orb packed serious damage. Each player lost about 1500 Health Points. After this hit, all three collapsed, dead.
“They’re dead… all dead just like that…”
Not far away, the six ranged players of the Brotherhood Alliance watched their melee fighters perish almost instantly and muttered to themselves.
It happened too fast!
In just two of their attack rotations, their entire melee force was annihilated!
They wanted to help, but it was over before any support could arrive. Their six comrades were gone.
“Retreat!” one shouted.
These Sea Clan players were insane. The remaining six were definitely no match for them.
“Thinking of escaping already? You haven’t witnessed my power as the Sea’s Hunter.” The Hunter, who hadn’t moved until now, raised a blood-red spear.
Targeting the three Mages with the lowest health, the Sea Clan Hunter swung his arm. The crimson spear split into three phantoms, hurled toward the three Mages simultaneously!
-2800! -2770! -2903!
Three terrifying damage numbers floated above the Mages’ heads. Their Health Points plummeted instantly!
One skill, three instant kills!
“What insanity is this!” The last three Brotherhood Alliance members screamed in terror.
Run.
Get away, fast!
They had no thoughts left, consumed only by the desperate urge to flee.
But it was already too late. The Sea Clan Knight swung his Knight’s Hammer, releasing a Taunt Skill from an extreme distance. Taunted, the three players uncontrollably walked toward the Sea Clan group.
They struggled desperately to resist, but it was futile. Wind, Flower, Snow, Moon and his team moved swiftly. Swords fell, easily finishing off the final three.
“So, Boss Money, was the Sea Clan skill impressive enough?” the six turned and walked back beside No Lack of Money. Several of his subordinates stood near him, eyes wide with shock.
Six versus twelve. Initially, they had wondered how this group of six could manage to defeat twelve. They figured even if possible, it wouldn’t be easy.
But when the battle started, Wind, Flower, Snow, Moon’s group had absolutely crushed their opponents. Twelve enemies dead within ten seconds, and the Sea Clan six hadn’t lost a drop of blood themselves.
Too powerful! True Sea Clan players were this formidable!
Several subordinates couldn’t help but glance toward No Lack of Money.
Wind, Flower, Snow, Moon had promised reserve spots for Sea Clan players to No Lack of Money earlier. No Lack of Money just hadn’t been interested. But now, after witnessing just how powerful Sea Clan players were, maybe he would change his mind.
If No Lack of Money accepted those spots, they might have a chance to become Sea Clan players.
But No Lack of Money just squinted slightly and said, “Very impressive. However… this isn’t your true strength, right? For this siege battle, you had several Buff Statuses active. Brother Wind used the skill ‘Sea’s Call,’ providing powerful attribute bonuses for everyone else’s skills too, correct?”
“Correct,” Wind, Flower, Snow, Moon admitted calmly, stopping Prodigal Son’s Return who looked ready to protest with a gesture. He smiled at No Lack of Money. “Boss Money, you have a sharp eye.”
He saw it clearly. No Lack of Money simply had no wish to join the Sea Clan. Trying to persuade him further was pointless. Since that was the case, no need to share too much. Let him think whatever he wanted.
“Those Sea Clan players… they’re ridiculously strong, aren’t they?”
In a patch of shadow, Xue Ye Hua and Chen Mo hid. Xue Ye Hua observed the battle that lasted mere seconds and spoke with obvious shock.
She and Chen Mo had followed, hoping to take advantage of the chaos during the fight, ambush the Sea Clan Players, steal some Points.
How could they have known? Two Eastern Sea City teams, facing just six Sea Clan players, were crushed utterly. They didn’t even get a chance to act before all twelve enemies were wiped out.
“They aren’t that strong. They had Buffs. However, that Sea Clan Priest is key. To beat them, we absolutely must kill him first. Otherwise, there’s little hope.” Chen Mo was calmer than Xue Ye Hua. He knew these Sea Clan players couldn’t inflict such terrifying Damage under normal conditions.
Still, one absolutely couldn’t underestimate these six Sea Clan players.
What intrigued Chen Mo most, however, was finally witnessing a Hunter with the Seaspear Proficiency skill firsthand. The Sea Spear skill was truly formidable – attacking three targets at once and killing them all instantly? Far too dazzling. Thinking that he would soon learn the Seaspear Proficiency skill and equip Sea Spear weapons, Chen Mo couldn’t help but feel a surge of excitement.
“You want to fight them? Kill them? Got a plan?” Xue Ye Hua quickly asked upon hearing Chen Mo’s words.
“No,” Chen Mo shook his head. “Trap ambushes offer a glimmer of chance. A direct fight is tough. Trying now? Almost zero chance.”
Through Sesshylow’s expanded vision, he saw Wind, Flower, Snow, Moon and a group of Human Race players.
One human player looked familiar to Chen Mo. He recalled him as No Lack of Money, whom he’d seen hours before.
Chen Mo didn’t know their relationship, but based on what he saw, they were undoubtedly together. No Lack of Money had capable followers. Paired with the six Sea Clan players, unless they were fools and clustered perfectly for Sesshylow’s Hurricane Skill to catch them all, Chen Mo had zero chance of winning a fight against them now.
Although his power had surged tonight, killing dozens of Sea Clan players, Chen Mo wasn’t intoxicated by victory.
He was far from invincible. He only possessed two pieces of Purple Equipment, worse gear than some big spenders in the game. His only potential Attribute advantage probably lay in Titles. Equipment-wise, he definitely wasn’t top-tier.
“Let’s go. Forget about them. Find other targets.”
The dangers outweighed the potential gain. Chen Mo had no interest in fighting Wind, Flower, Snow, Moon’s group now.
The siege could end at any moment. They needed to gather enough Points quickly to exchange for rewards.
“Alright,” Xue Ye Hua naturally had no objections. They vanished quietly, sprinting toward the coastal direction.
The Crimson Poison Mist lingered. Eastern Sea City’s battlefront was in a desperate state. Sea Monsters and Sea Clan players ran rampant. The number of surviving Eastern Sea City players still fighting plummeted rapidly.
Chen Mo checked several spots. He knew this defensive line wouldn’t hold out for two more hours.
In two hours, Eastern Sea City would fall!
