The functions of the Butterfly Eye were similar to current mobile phones, but it had many features that didn’t exist yet. Some functions were very expensive to implement. They were just starting out, and having things too complicated wouldn’t be good.
Chen Mo had the complete hardware design for the Butterfly Eye phone in his mind. He only needed to make some simple modifications, and he could copy all the other common functions.
The circuit design on the motherboard was a bit simpler than current phones. This kind of circuit design used less energy compared to phones that already existed.
Not long after, Chen Mo was interrupted by his phone’s ringtone. He looked at the caller ID and answered directly.
“Chairman!”
Zhao Min was browsing the phone’s exterior design and interface design that Chen Mo had sent her. She liked the phone’s appearance the moment she saw it.
Such a refined exterior design made people feel amazed when they looked at it.
Then there was the interface design. The phone’s wired waterproof interface had a clever and unique design structure. The person who designed this structure was a true genius.
“Hmm, did you receive the exterior design and interface design I sent you?” Chen Mo asked.
“Yes, I’m looking at them now. The exterior is very nice, and the design for the charging and headphone interfaces is very unique. Did you design all these?” Zhao Min asked.
“Yes.”
Chen Mo couldn’t say he got them from the Science and Technology Library, or people would definitely think he was crazy.
“Do you have two heads?”
“I wish I did. My brain really isn’t enough right now. I wish I had three heads and six arms.”
“Next time, for such important materials, don’t send them by email. Notify me, and I’ll send someone to pick them up. If they got leaked, it would be troublesome.” Zhao Min said this while picking up a USB drive next to her and downloading the files.
“Huh? Okay.” Chen Mo said.
“Everyone is talking about phone waterproof features now. Without interfaces, charging and listening to music are very troublesome. These two interface designs solve that problem perfectly. I’m a bit impressed with your brain. How come I can’t think of a structure like this?” Zhao Min said.
The structural design of the two waterproof interfaces could be patented. Even if they didn’t sell phones later, licensing it to phone manufacturers could bring a considerable amount of patent fees every year.
“This structure is called Butterfly Eye.”
“That’s a nice name.” Zhao Min said: “If you have time, come to the company. The office software is getting a good response. Currently, there are over three thousand paying users, and the free version already has seventy thousand users. The numbers are still rising.”
“That’s good.”
“In a few days, there’s a recruitment fair at your school. The company will send someone. I’m letting you know in advance.”
After reporting all the company matters to Chen Mo, Zhao Min hung up the phone, removed the USB drive, and deleted the email.
Such important materials left in the email would be troublesome if a hacker got into it someday.
After getting the USB drive, Zhao Min printed out all the materials.
“General Manager Zhao, this lady says she wants to see you.” Not long after Zhao Min returned from printing the materials, her assistant Xiao Li brought a woman in.
Wang Sijia was carrying a computer bag and wearing casual clothes. As soon as she entered the office, she started looking around. Only after seeing Zhao Min did Wang Sijia show a smile.
“Xiao Li, you can go out now. Ask Minister Luo to come see me in ten minutes.” Zhao Min said.
Only after assistant Xiao Li left did Wang Sijia plop down on the sofa and toss her backpack aside. “Sis, your office is a bit small.”
“The company just started. Did you want us to build a skyscraper for the headquarters? I called you here to ask if you want to join the company. The company lacks team leader talent right now.” Zhao Min said.
“So you talked me into resigning with this in mind?”
Wang Sijia looked at Zhao Min in surprise. During this period, Zhao Min had asked her to resign and rest for a while. She didn’t expect her cousin actually wanted to poach her.
“Working at another company is still work. Coming here won’t shortchange you either. You’ll be the head of the technology research department, responsible for the Army Ant System part. The salary is a bit low now, but later, I guarantee you’ll be a little rich lady.”

“You’re not tricking me?” Wang Sijia asked, doubtfully.

“Then why choose me?”
“You are a technical professional, and also, trust.” Zhao Min said.
The company was just starting out and had many important things. Key positions needed to be held by trustworthy people. If problems arose, they wouldn’t become big issues. Otherwise, she couldn’t explain it to Chen Mo.
“I’ll reluctantly agree. But I want to meet the handsome Chairman you mentioned. After all, a master who independently designed a phone system – I’ve always wanted to meet him.”
“I’ll introduce you next time there’s a chance.”
“General Manager Zhao, do you think my charm could make him like me?”
“Get out.” Zhao Min was both annoyed and amused by Wang Sijia.
While the two were chatting, a man wearing glasses knocked and entered.
He was Old Luo, already over forty years old. Because he was older and amiable, many people in the company called him Old Luo.
Old Luo was also one of the first people Zhao Min recruited. Although he was a bit older, he was capable and reliable, so Zhao Min put him in charge of managing the system development.
“General Manager Zhao, you needed something?”
“Let me introduce you. This is Wang Sijia, a former senior engineer at Xunfei Company. From now on, she will be your deputy, responsible for the Army Ant System part.”
After the two greeted each other, Zhao Min spoke again.
“Take a look at these materials. Go back and create a prototype. Don’t leak it.”
Zhao Min handed the freshly printed materials to the two of them.
“General Manager Zhao, which company designed this phone?”
As soon as Wang Sijia saw the design drawings for the Butterfly Eye phone’s appearance, her eyes lit up. She loved such a exquisite design at first sight.
“General Manager Zhao, who designed this charger interface?” Old Luo next to her also had shining eyes.
“This contains the phone the company plans to produce next. It’s strictly confidential. That’s the phone’s exterior design. The headphone interface and charging interface designs were both created by the Chairman. Before the phone is released, this information must not be leaked to the outside.”
“Understood.” Old Luo nodded.
He already knew about the Army Ant System. Now, with this phone design added, if the products come out, they would definitely soar to success.
“General Manager Zhao, I can’t wait to meet this master, the Chairman.” Wang Sijia’s eyes were sparkling, looking completely like an admirer meeting their idol.
She used to think that becoming a senior engineer at a young age meant she was a genius. But compared to that unseen mysterious Chairman, she was completely outclassed.

After taking the materials, Old Luo led Wang Sijia out of Zhao Min’s office.
After they left, Zhao Min rubbed her temples, turned to look out the window, and sighed. The company’s lack of a talent pool was still a bit troublesome.
Everything was progressing steadily. The current Legion Ant Company was just a small ant, and nobody paid it any attention. Sooner or later, this place would become a nest swarming with army ants.
