Chapter 128: Spoils of War

“Great, just great, War Golem Beast, step forward and take a hit from the enemy, then load the weapon system and finish them off,” Gehil shouted, his eyes shining with excitement.

After receiving Gehil’s command, the Bronze Beast suddenly paused and stopped moving. An attack that it could have dodged struck its body hard.

A dull noise sounded as a powerful force hit. The Bronze Beast slid over two meters to the left, its four claws scraping deep marks on the ground.

The Bronze Beast became much bulkier.

Originally styled like something from the medieval era, the Bronze Beast now carried so many surreal weapon systems. The mix of styles seemed a bit off.

Xu Feng looked at Gehil with some doubt.

Gehil didn’t notice Xu Feng’s look, still focused on the Bronze Beast’s battle.

“Hmm, borrowing from the Mechanical Tribe’s weapon system can boost my War Golem Beast’s power by more than three times instantly. But it’s just too ugly, not matching the Spirit Tribe’s aesthetic taste,” Gehil murmured, shaking his head softly.

The Bronze Beast equipped its weapon peripherals in the blink of an eye. Faced with the fierce aura of the Bronze Beast, the two Three-Star Elite Guards paused briefly, then charged forward again, swinging their heavy weapons.

The Bronze Beast dug its claws into the ground, all its weapons activating at once. The barrels of the cannons glowed faintly red, and even the peripherals on its eyes started gathering red light.

First, their armor shattered into pieces, then their withered bodies quickly followed. Soon, the ground at the Ancient Castle’s entrance was littered with fist-sized, charred fragments.

The Bronze Beast slowly walked toward Gehil.

A Light Gate appeared, and a strong pulling force sucked both the Bronze Beast and Gehil toward it.

“Spoils…” Gehil’s voice faintly came from the Light Gate.

The Bronze Beast showed no reaction and was directly pulled into the Light Gate.

After Gehil left, two Fate Treasure Chests, each the size of a palm, appeared where the two Undead Guardians had been.

Fate Treasure Chests were extra rewards from Earth’s Will to Earth’s Chosen for hunting Alien Invaders. Only Earth’s Chosen could obtain them. Although Gehil was summoned by Xu Feng, he wasn’t Earth’s Chosen. So, the monsters he killed wouldn’t drop Fate Treasure Chests; he could only collect the remains of the two Undead Guardians.

But after Gehil left, due to the summoning, Fate Treasure Chests appeared on the Undead Guardians’ remains. At the same time, Xu Feng could also gather materials from the Undead Guardians’ corpses.
